This was a standard week in my life back in October 2020 at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. I tried my best to capture some footage Monday through Friday, from academic, social, and day-to-day activities.
Classes switched to online in November 2020 due to COVID19, so my week looks drastically different now. Should I film an updated version?!

When I applied to the MSc. Global Health at UNIGE, I submitted my completed bachelor's degree, statement of interest, two reference letters, CV, and all transcripts.

hello!! I was wondering if you took the ECUS exam before entering the university of Geneva? If so, could you please drop some tips, helpful sources or anything at all? I can’t seem to find anything related to it in the internet and idk how to prepare for it! Thank you and have a great day💗

My program did not require the ECUS exam.
The ECUS exams are only for students who have obtained provisional admission to study at a Swiss university, and that the Swiss university assigns the student to an examination center and determines the scope of the examination.

I recommend reaching out to the academic coordinator at the program you've applied to for clarification.

This academic year, (2020/2021) classes went entirely online by December; this may change for 2021/2022.

My program is offered entirely in English, so prospective students are not required to be able to speak French. However, it is a great skill to have in a mostly French-speaking Canton!

While it is possible to live in Geneva without proficiency in the French language, some programs/courses require proof of French competency. I encourage you to review the admission requirements for the programs that interest you.

Notwithstanding COVID-19 restrictions, I was on campus for class-related activities four days a week, between Monday and Thursday. Keep in mind however, that this number is subject to change as function of your academic/social commitments!

At UNIGE, tuition and fees amount to same for both Swiss-nationals, and international students. For the 2021/2022 academic year, this is 500 CHF per semester.

I'm not sure about which aspects of accommodation / transportation you would like me to address. Generally speaking,
(a) student accommodation can range between 300 CHF to 1,500 CHF
(b) Geneva Public Transport is a well-connected system (within Geneva, and into the rest of Switzerland) of trams, busses, mouettes, and trains. There are many options for passes, check out these websites!

Do the universities teach in English?
Most universities in Switzerland offer Bachelors/Masters/PhD programs taught in English. I encourage you to take a look at their websites, and reach out to the program coordinator!
