  • For the eggplant lover in all of us is this super delicious eggplant papoutsakia recipe. Or otherwise known as Greek style meat sauce stuffed eggplants topped in a bechamel sauce. Although it may look complicated, it really isn't. Just break down the recipe into its three main parts: 1) Eggplant prep. 2) Greek style meat sauce. 3) Bechamel sauce. That's it! Once you divide this recipe up, you can very easily conquer it LOL Truth is, it looks way more complicated than it is. And like I've said a million times... if I can do it, so can you!!! Good luck with this amazing recipe and let me know how it turns out for you:-))

    Very similar to moussaka ingredients. Sorry I cheated. I ordered both at a Greek restaurant. I'm Chinese and a foodie. Idk what it suppose to look or taste like. Now I know and can do it myself. Thanks!!😅😂😊😍

    I did not see much from your kitchen so I assumed you were in Greece. Also my laptop broke and I am using my tablet which is not as easy to use for this as the laptop Debating if I will replace the laptop and with which one lol I will probably have to go down to Greektown for the cheese but it's worth it lol

      Hey Nancy,
      Great to hear from you again!!! The Greek cheese is called Mitzithra and is pronounced as it’s spelled. If you can’t find it, just use Parmesan. Good luck:-))

    A friend in England told me about a Greek dish and she said something about little shoes - this is it! She uses lamb in her moussaka so I imagine lamb would work in this too? Also, does the bechamel in this one need the egg yolks? Thanks for the video!

    • @KensGreekTable
      @KensGreekTable  Před 6 lety

      You can totally use lamb. In fact you can use beef, chicken, turkey.... whatever you prefer. In my vid I don’t use eggs but you can use egg yolks. Either way, you should really try this dish:-))
