The beloved female giant panda Ya Ya is celebrating her birthday at her birthplace, the Beijing Zoo, on August 3, 2023, after spending 20 years in the Memphis Zoo in the United States. Keepers in the Beijing Zoo have carefully prepared a birthday feast for Ya Ya.

Her fur is so healthy and clean, they said impossible to heal coz chronic skin disease she had. Poor Yaya endured so much suffering in the US.
Glad she looks clean, healthier and happier now.
Her fur is beautiful and she has gained more weight than before.
Remember not to hand over pandas to the WRONG HANDS.
She looks at much better & happier than she was at the Memphis zoo. Did the Memphis zoo get any type of punishment for the way they treated the pandas?

The fact that Yaya is thriving within one year of returning to Beijing zoo shows that memphis zoo mistreated their pandas and is are full of bull. Never send any more pandas there

Please don’t send anymore national treasures as “panda diplomacy”, especially to Anti China countries like USA and Japan. Don’t give them to excuse to abuse these endangered precious little animals. Pandas are endangered animals. They should be kept alive, not to be so extensively abused. Memphis Zoo should be sued for abusing endangered animals placed in their care, killing one Le Le with severe starvation and medical neglect, and endangering the life of Ya Ya.
Agreed but dont generalise, please. Memphis zoo was the problem. Pandas everywhere else seem well cared for.
@@TheMschelsea91yes! I love seeing pandas! All other pandas in other parts of US are treated really well and they are loved almost universally by everyone. I think it’s the action of 1 or 2 evil and cowardly zoo keepers at Memphis zoo who is responsible. I grew up seeing panda in San Diego zoo. Bai Yun, Gao Gao and their baby Xiao Liwu are really well cared for.
