    Nereval it's like when the singer improvise in some varnams, by changigng totally the set melody of the lines during the sanchari bhavam of a bharata natyam Dancer , am I right ?

      yadous. Ya exactly. In bharatanatyam, neraval is done corresponding to the sanchari. In the Carnatic music concert format, the centre piece is a krithi in which all kinds of manodharma sangeetham is done. The difference is that the neraval done in bharatanatyam should follow the pattern of the sanchari and be in line with the bhava shown whereas in Carnatic music, the musician is free to follow his imagination as far as the basic rules are kept intact. 👍

      Neraval is not done for Varnam, but for the main Krithi(s) in a concert.
