One time I was chasing a potential max weight track cape buffalo then when I was confronting it, it ricocheted of the tree and flew like 500 feet in the air
I've been playing cotw for years now. If you are interested in hunting up close, get soft feet skill when you get the chance. It reduces the noise level significantly. Other things to remember is to slow down before lakes or water sources to not spook the drinking animals. Also when you hear a warning call from an animal you would like to hunt, slow down or go prone completely since the animals won't immediately spook after doing the warning call in most cases. For ambush hunting bows and callers are your best friend along with thick bushes 👍

Usually when I play on PS most animals will spot you across 2 continents xD
