Another single unit that could've change the result of this match: Stealth. (Assuming they weren't banned.) Po1and had an effective airport lock for a long time, leaving the mighty stealth unchallenged!
Many months ago I made an AWBW account. Played about 15 games, counting the couple I lost due to my timer expiring. Went ~ .500 W / L... Maybe lower. Anyway... the amount of stress playing at even low levels was a shock to me. One wrong move & it can all be over. Can't explain why, but matches were legitimately causing me stress throughout the day. Regular, low stakes, global league matches had me discombobulated.. Now I don't play a whole lot, however I do enjoy watching solid games. Respect 🙏. And kudos to everyone competing at every level 😅.
Spoilers: Even with a missiles, I think HFHF still could've won, although it depends on some rolls: -Infantry caps HQ (duh). -B-copter + 2hp tank attack the missiles, bringing it to max 5 hp. -T-copter blocks the river between HQ and the 9hp infantry. -4 hp Anti-air goes in the forest again. -New B-copter attacks the MD-tank from the city, bringing it to 5 hp. -4 hp MD-tank attacks the 5 hp MD-tank, bringing it to 3 hp and barely living on 1 or 2 hp itself. And now, the only thing HFHF needs is enough charge for the power, which I think he can barely get by sacking some stuff on the right side. If he gets the power, on Poland's turn: -The missiles will be at max 6 hp, unable to kill the T-copter, even if the 1 hp B-copter helps. -The MD-tank will be at 2 hp, unable to kill HFHF's 2 or 3 hp MD-tank, it has to move away. -The now 9 hp tank has to attack HFHF's MD-tank together with the 1 hp B-copter. If HFHF's MD-tank is at 2 hp, it dies and Poland can interrupt the HQ. If it has 3 hp however, it's a roll. If it lives, HFHF wins. Finally, if HFHF does not attack Poland's MD-tank with his own, it's guaranteed to survive on Poland's turn, meaning HFHF wins. However, HFHF must have the Black Wave active for this, and I'm not sure if he can get enough charge without the MD-tanks fighting (I'm not going to calc all that). If he can though, this means he could still win even if Poland had build a missiles.
@@humita.channel Yeah that's also why I said "could" instead of "would". It took me a good amount of time figuring it out, and I'm comfortably backseat gaming instead of running on 2 min increment haha.
It would have, yes. Missiles have a base 120% attack against t-copters and b-copters (as shown on the AWBW unit damage chart), and Max has a d2d of -10% on his indirect units, giving it a base 110% damage against those two blocking units. Add the two comm towers, and that's another +20% attack to the Max missile. Granted, this was live, so I think that's part of why it was missed.
I never thought a max indirect would be key to victory
The clickbait titles are here! Jk it actually worked on me💀
LMAO 🤣
It wasn’t even clickbait was the best part! 😂
I knew I would see a missile! I just knew it!
Hawke rocket killing inf at 27:29 was a roll--> 77% to 83%.
luckily it was chipped for 18% or 19% by the 5hp inf the previous turn, meaning the 8hp inf only had 72% or 71%

A great match. Thanks for covering it.
I wonder why Poland gave up the airport lock at 24:09? That is, with the full health anti-air.
Poland really seems to be trying to re-invent his game lately. He’s been passing on interruptible caps too in some replays.
I had PTSD flashbacks the entire time as I'd just played a live match on this map right before watching this video.

I get you 100%, I take brakes from GL and Tourneys every now and then, but watching matches?.. I never get tired of that
Great game! I think a piperunner would have been a better unit at the end as it could have hit land units as well as 1HKO the copters =)

That's interesting! Although by the time I would come up with all that, I personally would've ran out of time 🤣 live gaming is hard

new vid yay :D
Would a max missile have worked lol

Hawke wouldve dominated the early game and couldve taken the towers easily if he just made atillerys
