Iâm so happy to see the Victorian house again. It brought back a sense of comfort. It is still beautiful as it always was. đ
Exactly
Seasonal Post cards of the house for guests. The picture of the home with the bow would be an amazing post card for the holiday guests! đ„°
Excellent idea!
What a treat to see the Victorian again! Almost like visiting an old friend! Lol
Nothing can top off the Victorian â€
Amen I miss it
Yep
This is a fact đâ€
I miss it too! đą
As a family with multiple Airbnb units who also uses Airbnb on a regular basis.. We have board games in our units, basic office supplies in our desks and crock pots, air fryers for small appliances. For our family specific units we have " quiet time" activities such as magnetic blocks, Legos, children's books.
As a family that uses Airbnb on a regular basis we appreciate outdoor spaces that we can relax in and homes that aren't full of " things", Renting a home where every surface is covered with multiple items just for decoration can be a bit overwhelming especially when on vacation so we book homes that allow us to have space to live and relax in.
Maps and local business names are welcome ideas.
I can't tell you how happy I am that you're going to decorate the Victorian seasonally :))
We stayed at a Vrbo rental not too long ago. We were greeted with fresh flowers on the kitchen table with eggs, bread and milk in the fridge. I thought that was a nice touch...
Ahhhh, the Victorian! Hello old friend! Such a unique home! Loved seeing it again and can't wait to watch you decorate it seasonally!
Love seeing the Victorian †If we stayed I would love to sit on the front porch and have a glass of wine. Happy you are sharing the Victorian with others.
So glad you are keeping the Victorian đ
I think itâs great youâre giving yours guests the same quality and comfort as you do your own family â€
Iâm happy to see the Victorian again. Thatâs just such a beautiful house. Maybe include some suggestions for places to visit and restaurants that you have enjoyed. Practical instructions about the AC and security measures. Looking forward to the decorating
Love the transformation Lauren. Iâd suggest reader friendly instructions for AC, laundry , etc. Also basic pantry essentials such as spices for bbqâing, cooking, tools for sâmores , as well as list of restaurants, and things to do . Providing robes and toiletries is such a treat . Victorian looks beautiful. đ
So delighted to be seeing the Victorian, definitely 1 of my all time favourite houses!!
With young ones itâs nice to go to an Airbnb or Vrbo that doesnât have so much clutter or stuff/junk inside of drawers. Especially batteries or cleaning supplies inside cabinets that young kids can easily get too. It amazes me how many places donât think of those things. Just a little something I appreciate it. đđ» Your Victorian looks beautiful, love the holiday decor for your guest! So much fun!
I miss the Victorian. You seem so much more in your element there. So glad you kept that house! When the kids go to college you could make that your empty nest!
That's exactly what I thought! How perfectly nostalgic and sentimental for college kids to return to their original home for the holidays!
I am so glad to see you back at the Victorian! I absolutely love that house! I live in Louisville, KY and we have an area of the city called Old Louisville that has the countries largest collection of restored Victorian homes and been my dream to one day live in one of the houses. So seeing how you decorate your house allows me dream about mine one day
Me too. I was hoping they'd buy a plot of land and build a replica only bigger for their needs
We recently stayed in a hundred plus year old farm house. I enjoy reading about the history of the home.
We had an Air BnB in the Niagara Wine Region. We had a wine route map as well as winery tasting vouchers. We listed winery features such as restaurants, cooking schools, experiences, tour times. Basically anything notable at each winery.
We had another list of companies who did bike tours or private car tours as well as places that made gourmet picnic lunches to munch on between wineries. I used to be a concierge in a fancy hotel in Niagara on the Lake and I created my lists from the most common questions I was asked at the hotel. Good luck! Your homes are beautiful!
Fresh cut flowers on the table or bedside is lovely when you arrive.
We love good hotels - - I'd say what the top three we stayed at - George V Paris, Ritz London, and The Waldorf Astoria (before it was bought by Hilton!) - the common luxuries we loved were - in the case of the first two - the wonderful fresh flowers every day and the absolutely huge square European pillows and featherbeds so thick they could almost be a bed in themselves - lol. In all three - I'd say it was the feeling of luxurious privacy and indulgence - brought on not only by the decor, bedding, and finishes - but the quiet and detailed attention to luxurious products supplied - including that one special bottle of champagne. It is probably vinegar by now - but we bought an extra bottle of Ritz London labeled Champagne that will always be displayed in our home. When we checked out at the Ritz - I asked if there were any type of "souvenir" I could purchase at all - aside from the Champagne - and they said no - but the manager was kind enough to gift me with the gold embossed/red leather Do-Not-Disturb sign that you could hang from your door knob. I have it hanging at my makeup area. So - maybe you could "brand" your home with a name and have a similar little sign to hang from a door that each guest/family could take home with them. There are also many artists out there that will generate custom art of your home and put it on notecards or stationary that your guests could use/save as well.
You just canât beat those character homesâŠ..love it.
Hey Lauren! I just started following you recently and have been binge watching your old videos đ Love the way you decorate and take care of your family. You are so inspiring. đ„° And itâs so nice to know there are other moms out there that do the same things as we try to do. You make me look a little less crazy! Ha! đâ€
As for VRBO, etc. My husband and I once stayed in a beach house in Florida and the owner left us a gift basket. It was a beach bag with beach things in it. (sunscreen, towels and a bottle of wine). Sooo kind! Little touches like that always make me wanna rent from the same people again and again.
Beautiful. I never thought a sectional could fit into a victorian home decor scheme. WOW!
I think having something that shows what the area offers is always nice, especially for people who have never been.
Your Victorian home is so beautiful. I love older homes and always miss my historical home. We purchased a new build home, and it's just not the same.
I am so happy to see you back at the Victorian - love that house!
I love your new home but there is something about the Victorian that makes my heart happy!!
Something we always like at any vacation rental we stay at is the typical binder that has suggestions of places to eat/things to do etc. it really is like a Bible if youâre not from the area!
Lauren, you are so thoughtful, I would love the touches you are doing stocking the bathroom with essentials, the pantry and decorating for seasons. I stay in very high end hotel or resorts but I would definitely stay at your airbnb with all the touches that make it so special.â€ïž
The couch is nice but I would prefer something with arms. Kind of hard to sit in with out arms. So glad you kept that coffee table, Ive always loved it!!
I have really missed videos from your Victorian! As far as must haves at a vacation rental, I like an inviting and welcoming outdoor seating area.
I'm so happy to see the Victorian house again đ
I think this will always be the home where your heart lives. It's beautiful!
Aww!! It was so nice seeing the Victorian again. Lauren your homes are absolutely beautiful and perfect! Have a great day and I look forward for all the seasonal decorating videos. They really do make my day!
I love the Victorian. It was nice to see some of your beautiful antiques. In an Italian villa, there were spices and basic cooking supplies in the kitchen for when it was not convenient to get to town. Cooking in an Italian kitchen was definitely a bucket list experience. Iâve never been to Napa and couldnât stay a month but Iâm excited for those that can. Drinking wine in that living area sounds fabulous.
A welcome note from the house, not the owner. Making you feel at home and a little booked telling the homes story. đ would make a person feel connected even if itâs for a short time đ„°
Your videos are always so pretty! I confess, sometimes I play your Christmas decorating videos when I need a perk me up!
Looking beautiful as always! I stayed at an Airbnb in Utah and they had a cabinet with history of the house, artifacts, photos, stories of the original owners etc. It was really fascinating to see those things. Just an idea. Iâm sure whatever you do it will be amazing! ~ B.
Lauren , I am so glad you kept the Victorian and are going to do long term rental ! How special for guests! I know when my girlfriends and I rent a beach house every summer great luxury linens are key! Also bar glasses! I think youâve got the wine glasses covered but maybe some martini glasses etc! Your decor is stunning as always! Iâve missed your lovely Victorian!â€ïžđâ€ïž
Games, and puzzles, outdoor grill. We have a summer rental and there are regulars that come every year for several weeks. They leave games and puzzles that they purchase so others can enjoy as well. They also tend to leave books to share. Definitely some books about the area, the history, restaurants and things to do. If there isn't a place to rent cruiser type bikes, those are awesome as well. If the opportunity affords itself, a welcome basket is so warm and welcoming :)
Yay, The Victorian! I love that house and I wish that I could live in it!đ
Beautiful! I love all your decorate and clean with me videos, but the Victorian is so inspiring!
As someone who travels and stay at Airbnbs often, I appreciate the laundry room stocked with unscented laundry detergent. I also prefer when the bedding has been washed with unscented detergent since I'm allergic to fragrances.
I also really like it when a kitchen is equipped with a variety of tools (cheese grater, mixing bowls, baking sheets, measuring cups/spoons). I like to cook my own meals when I'm away for multiple days.
Wow, what a beautiful sight.
It looks so comfortable, and inviting to be there.
The warmth, you r providing and the comfort, is so welcoming.
Thanks for sharing. đđđâ€ïžđđčđ»đ«âšđșâïž
Linen spray next to the beds always adds a nice classy but comforting touch!
We rented a cabin in the mountains and after a 12 hour drive, the host had a crock pot of homemade chicken soup and a freshly baked loaf of bread and some fresh butter. On top of that, the fire was already lit. It was so relaxing after a long day of driving to eat and prop feet up in front of the fire.
I think itâs generous and thoughtful if you offer your guests a stocked pantry (especially coffee/tea), robes and slippers. After traveling (especially with kiddos) not having to go straight to the grocery store on the first day is a plus!
†love your videos!
so happy to see the old house! ESPECIALLY YOUR WALL ART AND THE CLASSIC FEEL
Love this Victorian home not to cluttered, everything looks comfortable. Looking forward to see how you style the rest.
I think you have hit all the musts for me nice bedding, towels. Robes are great. I think having decor up seasonally is a nice touch. Maybe some good books available especially since itâs a little more of a long term stay. I recently stayed at a great boutique hotel and they had some books in the room that I was like âman I would actually wanna read All of theseâ and that made a big impression
I havenât watched far enough to see the Victorian. Iâm really looking forward to this! â€đ
I would love to stay at the Victorian, glad you're keeping it. Maybe one day we will cross the pond in your direction! We've rented lots of places for holidays and apart from the basics (comfort, cleanliness etc) for me it's the little extras - the nice hand soap, the plentiful dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls (sad but true!), the basic cooking ingredients, the bottle of wine and a little welcome basket on arrival. A short guide to the area with your favourite spots is good too x
I absolutely love your new house but really do miss this one!!! You created magic in this house and so much inspiration for all of us!! â€ïž
So fun to see the Victorian again. Love the new sectional and the way you styled the room. I thought the clean lines and simple style (upscale) are great for a rental. â€
I miss the Victorian⊠glad youâre doing videos back there
Hi Lauren, the Victorian looks lovely. Love the combination of modern and traditional furniture. The white, gold and wood palette is stunning. One of the features I love is the bay window with the bench seat. Just curious why you would block that off? Excited to see how you accessorize and your amazing dining room table scape!
All those cherished memories (map pics) etc ... shared with others.
Love the couch, getting one too, for an airbnb, loving to cook, it's amazing to stay somewhere with a stocked kitchen (the basics and a nice selection of spices and cookware).
I absolutely love Costcoâs high priced Kirkland sheets. They are so lovely and cool and they feel like butter on your skin. I have purchased Bollen Branch sheets and in my opinion thereâs no comparison. I absolutely love your Victorian home itâs so beautiful and I wish I could stay there đ
Love the new sofa! I just love this house Lauren! đâ€đ
I hope your dream for this home will be a positive experience and the people will be happy and excited and be responsible and respectful of the opportunity to stay there đđ
AhhhâŠ.my favorite place!!! I am totally in love with this house. For me, if I were staying there I would definitely want a comfortable bed with nice bedding. Other items would be (stored away), a pack n play, stroller and some type of high chair. If you are traveling by air these are things that you would not be able to take with you. An electronic charging station that would handle multiple devices with different chargers. Most people take these items with them but I have forgotten mine before and had to repurchase a charger.
Love seeing the Victorian again.
Everything is always beautiful Ms. Lauren. Praying for Chewy and your family đ„°â€ïž
The Victorian is stunning đ€©
Love your old house it's so beautiful great to see it again â€
When we book a place we always look for a recliner - I know they don't always look the best but my husband has a bad back and likes a recliner in the area with the TV. A list of your favorite restaurants and things to do in the area is also a plus. Love to watch you videos and will definitely keep your place in mind if we come your direction!
I like your new house but the Victorian is my favorite
That glass cleaner is the best love that stuff!
Add visitor guide of town, like places to eat, historical places, fun things to do such as best beach or mini golf? Puzzles or games for all ages and most of all a welcome basket of? You would be good at that Lauren! Beautiful home!!!đ Your card about your new cookbook too!?
This makes me so happy, love the Victorian!
We've stayed in numerous Air BnBs and most appreciate toiletries, coffee and baking essentials (sugar, flour, baking soda, etc) and of course plenty of pots and pans for cooking and baking. It's should feel like a home away from home.
Loved this video.I just loved the dinning room in your Victorian . I guess I can just say I love your Victorian. I have missed seeing it and also how you decorated the beautiful front porch. Your new home is very lovely and with the changes you will be making and have made it will hard to say which one will be my favorite. So excited for these new videos you are doing. God bless.
Fresh baked cookies for a night cap. We will never forget the hotel in Pennsylvania that did that.
It's beautiful. I know that y'all needed more space for the kiddos. But I miss this house it's very elegant đ.
Itâs so so beautiful. They will be so surprised about stocking the Kitchen and Bathrooms. It always gave me a warm feeling. â€â€
I SO missed the Victorian Home!!! đđđđ. You have done a GREAT job! I personally LOVE how you incorporated the Antiques with abit of Modern. The Couch looks beautiful!!! One of my experiences that I had on a Cruise, was every morning they came to make our bed and placed a unique folded towel with a mint on Our Bed. So one morning, they made a Swan and another morning they made a Monkey hanging in our bathroom đ. We always looked forward to what they came up with! đŠąđ”. I know it would be impossible to do it every day in your situation, but maybe for every New Guest? Oh definitely a signing of a Guest Book! âșïžđ. Can't wait to see how you decorate the Victorian!! đđđđ Hopefully, you keep the Vintage pieces! They are SO SPECIAL!! đđđđ
The way you arranged the livingroom furniture looks much better!
Luxury bedding, luxury bath/shower products!
GREAT JOB LAUREN!!! LOVE HOW YOU SHARE WITH US!!!â€
A bed topper w nice confy pillows
When we rent airbnb homes we love when the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, wine glasses!, placemats, plates etc etc. And a good coffee pot, filters and mugs. And nice bedding and pillows. Minimal but beautiful home decor. And a place to sit outside with a glass of wine. We love airbnb rentals so much more than hotels. We rented a beautiful home in Sonoma awhile back with gardens and lots of outdoor spaces and birds. Loved it! We do alot of nice meals at the airbnbs because my husband and our friends love to cook when we travel. Eating out every night gets expensive... Love that you are sharing this beautiful home with guests. I've missed it :)
I absolutely loved this house!!! Beautiful
B
Becareful of the blind cords in case your renting to families with little kids!
Everything looks lovely. I would definitely enjoy staying here.
Thank you for this video! I love the Victorian!!!
It was nice to see the Victorian home again and what your deciding to do with it! đž When coming to a Air B&B or any of those kinds of homes I would love to have there be snacks and pantry items as we donât feel like finding a store and would just like to relax after traveling that first day. Also having really nice bedding, sheets and a nice comforter or duvet would be so nice! đž
Okay I feel like we're back at homeđ„°
Same!!!!
So happy to see you back.
Beautiful! I love the Victorian!
One of the VRBOs we stayed in had a map and pins for you to pin to show where you came from. I thought that was really interesting to see where all of the people that stayed were from.
I absolutely love the Victorian and I think the board games is a good idea and I also think maybe some information about if you're not familiar with the area, maybe some info of the must-sees or must stop by in the area! Recommendations in the area!
Looks great as always Lauren
Just clean home! You got it girl you are a very thoughtful person!
LOVE SEEING THE VICTORIAN. Nice decor Lauren. STTB
Back at the Victorianâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž so happy to see this!
Your furniture is beautiful, reminding me of how I grew up and I still love this type of decor.
