A really cool hint that Falin's spirit has fused with the dragon is that when she is revived, she closes her right eye and holds her throat, _the exact injuries the dragon took_ .

16:27 I think, Chilchuck's reaction here more like he's "surprised" as he didn't realize his feeling for the team until that very moment. Chil was always labeled as coward or selfish type and he believed so, as he said "my life comes first". But through the conversation with the orc girl, Kui Ryoko shows how mature and caring Chilchuck is.
The way this message delivered so natural, because that how people in real life acts the same. We human sometimes don't understand our feeling that well, untill someone points that out to put us in a "silent of self reflection".
Just say it: Chilchuck is a TSUNDERE!!!
16:20 it's not as if Chilchuck never said he loves his friends, and they know he does. The orc's point was that Chilchuck wanted to run for the surface, not because he just valued his own life, but because he can't stomach seeing his friends die. She's just making the connection for him that his cowardice is linked more to the safety of his friends rather than himself. Making him learn how he really feels
In Laios's defense, he doesn't know what happened to Falin when he passed out, none of them knew when the ground collapsed underneath them and simply separated them from her. For all he knows, she could've died again or be tortured by the lunatic magician and who knows what would happen to a soul that was resurrected the way it did if it died again. So yeah, I understand his hurry and concern.

the anime didn’t include this, but marcille mistakes him for a child! so without spoiling you, i think the fact he looks like a kid contributes to his androgyny. the other adult male elves in this series look feminine but still read very much male

8:05 I think it's funny how device this is. It is technically just a fan ship after all, but one that has been very popular since the manga.
It's also silly how some people are like "it's only kids who would see them like that" or "only westerners who apply their values to their relationship think this"(then who draws the fanart?). And yet on another reaction channel called Junpai Reacts, who watches this show with his Japanese mother (very wholesome), she immediately went "oh, they in love, right?!" when she saw Falin and Marcille interact the previous episode.
Remember the opening scrawl in the first episode? There was that guy that emerged from the dungeon who said he was the king of the lost golden city, promised his kingdom to anyone who killed the lunatic magician, and then dissolved to dust. What if that was King Delgal from the paintings? What if "death being forbidden" in the dungeon meant that King Delgal was forced to stay alive for countless years until he finally walked out of the dungeon and aged to dust?
That would mean that the lunatic magician is searching for someone who's already gone. He's making the dragon search for the king, and now that Falin is part dragon, he's going to make Falin search for the king too. Once he finds out that the king is dust, and that the king put a bounty on his head, that lunatic magician is going to get even worse.
As a manga reader, I'm just gonna say you're ask very good questions bro.

Oh I was right that the Dark Elf was the Dungeon Master!
I had guessed the Mad Sorcerer had to be an Elf from previous discussions that gave the idea Elven magic was more advanced and was solidified by Marcille having access to forbidden magic. Also since the Dungeon is centuries old, the Magician had to be someone from one of the long lived races, or had to have found a way to cheat dead, since he was still alive.
Wonder what Falin was turned into, some kind of dragonoid I guess.
Seems like the real plot for the series is starting.
19:03 it’s interesting we seeing a different side of the spirits, or at least seemingly the spirits that’s FROM the castle town specifically. They’re not aggressive but they seem pretty sad and they’re prolly sad at their current situation.
It’s been for who know how long since they’ve been kept tied to the town. They MAYHAPS blame / resent the mage elf for keeping them there, presumably like with the paintings to preserve the kingdom. But it’s been too dang long and they could be spending close to an eternity there.

It's not more than friendship and the author confirmed it. There is a chapter in the manga where the elves are reacting to "elf and human relationship" and they all view that as pedophilia because to them, even a 100 year old human is a baby.

I wonder if Falin was just chillin' with all the spirits in the city while she was dead. So like they're drawn to her cause of her abilities but maybe they also just know her now and want to help her? That would be interesting if it like feels personal to these spirits now. Also I'm fully on board with Falin x Marcille they're cute as all hell 😂

Big lore since beginning of show. Derghal was the one that crawled out of the hole that leads to the entrance. When he saw the miners(?) he told them about his kingdom and such before he decayed and turn to dust. That was 6 years ago in story. Since then word spread and ppl go there to gather riches or obtain the dungeons power.

Chilchuck surely is the real one actually. Like it or not, what he said about his teammate and most the of the thing is always right, same in this episode. All of them would have been dead if Laios fully lead the team.
none of the ships in dungeon meshi are 100% confirmed. i love marcille and falin but there are also moments later with marcille and laios too. i think the creator left things open so people could ship whatever they want.

Honestly i'm really happy no relationships were confirmed- as an aro an of the anime it's reassuring. Not that I don't love romance- I really enjoy interpreting farcille as romantic- but i like being able to choose when and with who i can examine the story with romantic intentions rather than just having it shoved onto me. It's one of the things I love most about this anime, and also mob psycho which (aside from the tsubomi ordeal and frankly even including it) has very little tangible romance in it's story but is still largely about interpersonal relationships. It's lovely!

Ryokoo (the author) specifically made all relationships between the cast intimate but ambiguous! They are all very close but no concrete evidence exists to link them as romantic partners. you CAN ship them, but nothing is canon!
Marcille, for example, might see falin as something of a dearly loved little sister. Keeping in mind that they know each other for years at this point AND have had very personal and intimate moments with each other, they clearly are connected by love! But it is not at all clear or "noticeable" that there must be any form of romantic interest as well!
In fact: some things you will find out about marcille later, further strengths that she is unusually attached and emotional about people she considers "family". But no spoilers =)
SO she COULD be gay for Falin, Falin could be both into her and the samurai guy, or any combination! The story simply does NOT go into this, so anybody telling you "OH! thats a clear sign they are [XYZ]!!!" is only projecting their own desires onto those characters and pushes this onto you. so do not feel "pushed" into any direction. Ship who you like to ship, it is all NON-canon anyway.
One thing though. It's explicitly stated in the Adventure Bible that Falin didn't have any romantic feelings or attraction for Shuro, though she did consider going along with it if he does confess to her. (Guess that's the downside of being a nicegirl who never wants to hurt anyone?)
Falin and Marcille being in love is just a fan theory, like you said. Same with Laios and Marcille. But in regards to Shuro and Falin, it was made clear that he gave up on her and she had no feelings for him.

The Falin/Marcille ship isn't a real thing. If some people want to see it that way, they can (there's nothing wrong with that, it can be that way). But this is pure speculation. The manga never confirms this clearly, or even indirectly. From my point of view, there's nothing relevant enough to suggest it, and it can always be interpreted in different ways. To me, they're just close friends with deep love. If others prefer to see them as a couple/with romantic love, they can. But it's not a fact.

8:17 To be fair there is a loud group of people that seem unable to allow people to just be good friends. Heck, friendship doesn't even seem to be a prerequisite. Enemies, looking at each other, just being in the same room, etc. seems to be enough.
Dungeon Meshi is written in a way that if Marcille and Falin truly were in a relationship, or romantically involved, it wouldn't go around teasing and sidestepping it. It would address it directly. People can ship whatever they want, but pretending it's somehow canon is ridiculous. And bullying people for thinking they're good friends is even worse.
And (spoilers), there was no romance for any of the members of the party by the end of the manga.
