Samantha Xiong i would suggest that bc if used hot glue before and over time when you wash your clothes you can kind tell that you use the hot glue and sometimes it could wear down

Ironing the seam before sewing helped me a lot . I messed up twice b/c I’m still a beginner & haven’t used the fabric before. After ironing it, I got it on the 3rd try. Definitely recommend ironing like others said, esp. for beginners.

I have the same brand of machine, and they have little guide lines next to the needle for you to keep the fabric lined up, so you don't have to "eyeball" it

Why not just lay the elastic band in the fold and cut the holes and put the eyelids in before you sew it?might save some time?
You could after u get comfortable with a machine but I know that I’d accidentally sew over the elastic

that's not how it works u have to do it after, because u could always sew ur elastic if it moves at all

TIP!!! Before tying the elastic string put the cord stop FIRST then tie it so it won't fall off. 😊 (you can still turn the knot to the back to be hidden)

I love this idea!! I recommend a magnetic hem guide if you want to make straight stitches, as a beginner it’s helped me a lot, you should try it! (You can get one at any sewing shop or at Joann’s)

Just a tip! I made my prom dress, my mom made her prom dress, try to place your pins in a way that you can pull them out towards your body, so the ball is towards you and the pin's needle is pointing to the machine needle, it calls for easier removal as you sew. This is a really cute DIY!! DEFINITELY SUBING
