    If tractor can be sexy, that 4955 sure is.. maybe the sexiest tractor there is. I am not even a JD fanboy but it looks so beautiful.
    That thing with the 8.1 found in say 7710, better hydraulics and a bit better gearbox, would be perfect.

    Throw those shoes on the 4955 and you'd have a winner. I never cared for the exhaust on the side of the cab myself, despite the slightly better view.

    Now that's how you bale hay! Nothing like a krone big pack. I have yet to see another baler function at that speed! Man talk about not getting board making hay at 10 mph. Hell they look like they are going 15 in this video. But let's not forget those beautiful John Deere just a purring along. For me this would not be work. It would be a beautiful day in the field with my equipment making hay.

      These guys are out of Denmark. It threw me for a loop too since what they run is more in line with North America than it is Europe. They don't have all the restrictions you'd find in the UK or Italy or many of the other euro countries.

    Why 4955 operator cannot drive on stable rpm level?

    • @ChevyConQueso
      @ChevyConQueso Před 2 lety +1

      Those big balers take a lot of power to operate, and that is a mechanical diesel engine powering that 4955. When the arm inside compresses it takes more power than the rest of the cycle, so you get increased load only at that point. Newer computer controlled diesels will stabilize that a lot better and won't give the puff of smoke as the RPM climbs back up. All older mechanical diesel tractors act like that. That particular machine has been turned up a lot, so it isn't a lack of power issue at all. It's got a lot more horsepower than a stock machine from what I remember from previous videos with it.
