South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has hit back at critics over the fact that her upcoming memoir reveals she once shot a dog that she had tried to train but wasn’t able to.
“I know Kristi Noem well; South Dakota knows Kristi Noem well; so, for all those out there … please don’t think that people born and raised in South Dakota think it’s ok to shoot a 14-month-old dog for being a bad hunter or possibly killing a neighbour’s chickens,” Ms Lahren told Sky News host James Morrow.
“That is not endorsed by the people of South Dakota; that’s not how rule in American ranchers and farmers live our lives.
“Don’t be fooled by this; I am disgusted, and I am thoroughly embarrassed.”
Her little rampage also included an old goat. She is a terrible person, no matter what party she belongs to.
The goat wasn’t old, he was just intact. Intact male goats stink…begs the question, why did she get it? Anyway, she could have brought it to auction, listed it on Craigslist, had it neutered, but No she chose to kill it.

I agree 100%! I really hope Donald Trump is smart enough to not make her his VP. It really bothers me that being conservative is associated with being callous towards animals and that liberals are more loving and dote on their animals more. I definitely love my pets and spoil them and I am far from a liberal. She is cold and callous, and I don’t want her anywhere near the white house.

There are things about conservatives that I don’t agree with so I’d have to say that I’m more moderate in general but definitely lean right. I really question people who agree with everything their party says just because they said it. This woman is a stone, cold sociopath and I hope she fades into oblivion and is haunted by all the animals she killed.

I've owned four retrievers. And I've lived it the city as well as in rural areas. Only an idiot would think an untrained 14 month old pointer is misbehaving if it captures a chicken. With that energy and prey drive, ALONG WITH PROPER TRAINING, it would have made an excellent hunting dog at around age 4 or 5 years. IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO PROPERLY TRAIN A HUNTING DOG, DO NOT ADOPT ONE.

The thing is,she just shot yet ANOTHER hole in her foot,by saying on Wednesday that when she got the puppy from the people who owned her,she KNEW it was "aggressive"--that's WHY they were parting with her.So--KNOWINGLY taking on an "aggressive" dog,ESPECIALLY one you would take hunting,TWO light bulbs SHOULD have went on in her "haid". 1)she had three young children. And following logic--2)an aggressive dog would probably need more specialized training for not only controlling the aggression,but to properly hunt.You want the dog to retrieve the birds without crunching them up. And you would also want the dog to follow commands reliably.Well,NONE of those light bulbs went on--so what did you have? So she did not train a puppy, took it on a pheasant hunt and was mad when it messed that up, then failed to restrain a bird hunting puppy without proper training around someone’s chickens. There is no way to defend an indefensible action. As horrible as these action were, totally mystified as to why this was included in her book until I realized her actions of puppy and goat killing were witnessed by the gravel pit workers and potentially a school bus driver. My grandfather is from South Dakota and he agrees - what makes dogs special? Some countries like Korea eat them. He said they're animals (the dogs, not the Koreans) and not smart like dolphins. So no harm no foul.
