As a kid I used to hang around Mr. Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge and they never chased us out of the dealership. Imagine that happening at any dealership this day and age. RIP Mr. Norm, thanks for letting this kid dream a bit.
I agree with Doug below. Plus, activity==energy which people can feel, vs. walking into a dead quiet dealership. That solemn experience may be fine if one is going to buy a very expensive Cadillac or exotic, but this was Dodge. Excitement on the track, and in your driveway. Where there is a buzz, there is interest generated. Plus, I am sure. you weren't hurting anything or getting in the way of customers.
I bought a car from his place in 1972. 50+ years later I saw him at LA Fitness and introduced myself. We had a great time talking and reminiscing about Mopars and the good old days.
I don’t care what anyone says, that’s a work of art! I’d have been a year old when that was new, I’d have that over any modern car, nice n simple, does what it says on the tin. Love it!
@@joewatson3261 I’m no major authority, but I’ve been around this stuff for years, gen 2 Hemi’s tend to be a bit noisy with solid lifters, I also tend to find modern recording equipment tends to exaggerate quieter sounds, maybe it’s a clearance issue on the tappets, but nothing terminal, I’d have to be standing next to it running to be sure.👍
Really nice! Being a Mopar guy at heart, I have to admit that this trips my trigger, and it's not easy walking around with a tripped trigger,.... just sayin.
My first car was the family's 64 Dodge 330, 4dr, push button automatic with a 318 4brl carb. Soft powder blue paint job. First owner was local County Sheriff, then my folks, then me. Junked it out the summer of '75. It spent most of its life on gravel roads and hip deep in road salt from winter snow and ice that turned it into a rust bucket REAL fast. Never won any races with it in town on the loop but got the sleeper award for it's super fast git up n GO!
My first car was a 1964 Dodge with three on the tree and a 318 engine. Of course I had to add an 8 track player and hub caps that looked like mags. Man I thought I was styling and profiling!!
My neighbor had one of these in the late 60's, drag race only, and we kids helped him push it off the trailer into the garage. I was more into funny cars, fiberglass, and nitro 🙂
I had a 64 Dodge Polara It was all stock well. I did pull out the tired 318 and put a 400 in it behind a push button automatic. I love that car. It was no fast car but I didn't mind. It was my sleeper and I loved it. And I wish I had it back.
There was a song from 1963 by the Suoer Stocks “Cheater Slicks.” “Ive got a new black super stock with a mill that’s a 426. It’s got a beefed-up automatic that blows off the sticks”. Just like this car!

I bought a 63 Sport Fury 426 from Milne Bros in Pasadena when I got out of the Navy. Do I have to tell you how much trouble i got into LOL, but I never losta street race !!!!!!!!!
All it needs is some genuine Magnesium Halibrands or magnesium American Racing wheels. WAY too nice of a car to put those Chinese made "American Racing" wheels on it.. saying that, it's an easy fix. Beautiful car!
@@sergeantmasson3669 I realize their forged line are made in the USA, but these are all modern looking wheels. Their classic looking Torq Thrust wheels are manufactured in China. Kinda sad being as "American" is literally in their name. However, American Rebel Manufacturing is made here in the U.S.A. and they are exact replicas of classic designs, Halibrand Champ, Halibrand Sprint, Halibrand Starburst, etc. They are not cheap but I'll gladly pay for these classis designs and from a company who still makes them here in the U.S.A. 🦅
The super stock dodge is winding out in low, but my fuel injected stingray is really starting to go, to get the traction I’m riding the clutch my pressure plates burning that machines too much.

And with NICKEY Chevrolet. Down the street. A hot rodders dream.
Back when cars had style! 👍
Back then real car guys designed the vehicles - today design is by the accountants.
What a beauty! Back in '64 you could tell the makes apart from a mile distant. Now everything looks like an electric shaver or melted candy bar.
In 1974 for $600.00 i bought from our neighbor a 1965 Dodge 330 w/ the 225 Slant Six and 3 on the tree.... Frigging loved that car!
Absolutely beautiful.
This folks, is a musclecar.
Little Old Lady from Pasadena!
Beautiful car, I love the interior.

Thank goodness for no rubber band tires. My knees are weak.
Yeah buddy, that push button automatic transmission!!!

Love the '64. Super car!
By the way, the fuel gauge is discreetly telling on the dual-quad 426's ravenous thirst!
What a ride dude, thanks for sharing. Perfect wheels for that car.
Freakin beautiful and definitely bad-ass Dodge… 👍🏼👍🏼
Damn son !! thats awesome and it has the Elephant !!
That car looks better than the day it came off the assembly line !!! 👍🏻
Just plain beautiful 👍
That's a really nice clone
Stunning!
Man that is one sweet ride. Beautifully done work 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍
No seat belts. Love it!
That is seriously a sweet looking machine and it's exhaust notes gave me goosebumps 👍👍👍👍👍🍻
Magnificent!
I was this many years old when I found my favorite car!🎉
These cars weren't the prettiest but they sure could kick your butt any day all day.
That car would look great in my collection
Awesome!!
Nice ride.
Vibrates the phone even on idle.
Nice play area behind the front seats.
Wow - gorgeous. Looks so clean and simple - but few hints that a King Kong HEMI lurks under the hood! Really, really nice .
@claiborneeastjr4129, fully watch the video again. The 426 hemi engine is clearly shown, PUTZ.
You are so right; I feel stupid - don't know how I overlooked it. Beautiful HEMI and beautiful car. Very desirable. My apologies. @@sergeantmasson3669
Got to love how the hood shakes at idle. 60 years old and it's only slower than a C8 Corvette by a second (maybe less). That's incredible!
Just beautiful 🤩!
Nice-looking car. The engine has quite a knock in it
Yes, I can hear it in your comment.
..... Thats the Rocker arms. Thats the way it sounds .
Solid lifters.
@@lovejago Wrong. Unless one of them is out of adjustment.
But I think it's something else.
Definitely not supposed to sound like that.
Lifters is probably the noise or bent pushrod. It doesn't sound like crank or rods or piston engine noise.
STUNNING!!!!
I've never seen a sharper one.
That car is beautiful
OMG. this was a screamer down the road!

American muscle
The 1964 Dodge and Plymouths were some of my all time favourite cars. 😍The only problem with this car is the colour Yucky black.
