  • A conservative MP wants to bring back plastic straws. You may have seen the videos circulating on social media. We will take a closer look at the bill to end the ban on plastic straws.
Are you in the save the plastic straw camp? Do you miss straws? What about plastic bags? Is it worth the inconvenience to you to know fewer plastics will end up in the environment?

I actually ordered a whole set of plastic straws to ensure I always have one when needed instead of the paper straws.

Ever sucked on paper or cardboard? They're basically useless.
There is a top that fits tightly on cups with a built-in straw that works.
OH, lastly. LOVE the fact that you have three brand new REAMS of blank paper on your desk. Way to environmental up, CBC!

In some countries they don't have landfills. They just back the garbage truck up a dock and dump it all in the ocean.

Yes I hate paper straws. Anytime I'm in USA I bring back a bunch of plastic straws to refill my glovebox stockpile.

Climate alarmists seem to have a misery fetish, they aren't happy unless they're making life miserable.

PFAS in paper straws? If that's even real, maybe start by eliminarting that?
so has anyone actually had an issue with these alternatives?
and I gotta say...if you don't like how wooden cutlery performs, do you remember trying to cut anything with the plastic knife we all got in our bags? How about hope the prongs on your plastic fork didn't break in your food.
This is the plastics industry grasping at nothing. Don't like the alternatives? Design new ones. Plastics need to change or disappear from our day-to-day; not "make a comeback". You want Canada to be competitive? Lets get our heads out of our rears and stop looking behind us.
