The body is cool on this one aswell and has some sweet lighting to (: I heard people say you can use babyoil for the smoke box, it´s cheaper easy to get and gives off a nice smell as a free bonus. Love your videos (:

Great energetic review. I'm 50, and my inner 7 year old thinks this thing is really cool. It might not be a great rock crawler, but it has great scale detail and lights everywhere. Also...Adding a video clip of Donald Sutherland from Kelly's Heros......Awesome!

It's surprisingly capable for such a small rig, you were a bit hard on it to start with, but came to the right conclusion in the end. Yes it's slow for adults but it's not made for us hardened rc guru's, it's made for the child in us all. 'Love it for what it is' well said my man.😊😊😊😊

When I was growing up matchbox cars are the only thing we had my older brother got a slot car track & cars & I was mesmerized by them but I wasn’t allowed to touch them so something like this would’ve blown my mind.🤯

the younger me would totally have fun with this until i break it and then cry myself to sleep, the older me would probably put some beefier looking wheels if possible and use it as a display piece because it looks cool

I love the detail put into this thing. Wish I could get a 1/10 hardbody 4Runner
RC-TNT modded his and is in love with it. He is supposed to be dropping a video about all the things he did etc. He dropped some good ideas for inspiration to mess with it.

A model car with radio control function lol the body probably would fit on a rock van v2 chassis or something similar that's more capable. But from a kids' point of view, it's amazing as is. Nothing compared to the cheap stuff we got in the 90s lol

I almost bought one of these but at the time there weren't ANY videos... I must say, I'm 56 and I actually LIKE this... I wonder if you can put different wheels/Tires on this to get a little more clearance.... not talking HUGE... just scale... like scale 30s.. those huge C-hubs hanging down are bound to get hung up on stuff....
What size motor is in it? if it's an N20... maybe an N30 can go in (higher torque)... or if it's a high RPM motor, I wonder if a lower RPM one can be swapped in for more torque

Cheers dude, glad it helped. Not sure the size, but could benefit from something with more torque. Still ripping into it, but 30's would be perfect. Longer shocks would allow them to fit too, the stock one have no travel. A few minor upgrades could really make this alot of fun 😁

I like it I’ve seen one other good review & like they say it is what it is it’s almost more of a toy & you can’t expect a lot of performance but I’ll probably get one for the looks alone I’m sure it’s not very expensive.

Great review of this little forerunner👍👍👍✅✅✅Was thinking about getting one as it is hard to find any other forerunner bodies for 1/18 other than FMS, this is the only one with doors that open that is pretty cool. Can you set it so it doesn’t four wheel steer?

Its more of a display model rc (not rc would be diecast);
Theres toy grade rc of scale display model, and theres hobby grade of scale model (like many crawlers).
I think the latter more focused on being an rc, whereas former focused on being a display model.

It is kinda cool but. They put so much effort into the detail, loads of cool features, shock filled suspension, then they put no travel on the suspension like why why bother going to all that effort then zero travel suspension and making it underpowered. A better motor and suspension travel wouldn't push the cost to high ffs.
I completely agree, they put too much focus on the rear steer, lights and sound. The drive train is what counts on these little rigs
@disciplinerc It's the fact it would hardly have cost them anything to make it better gets me. I was just watching thinking why spend so much time on the details which coasts in the time it takes to get the details that dialled in. You'd think they'd spend a few extra pounds on the drive train, also the sounds and how cheap they can have these things made in China it probably would only work out at like £5-£10 extra a car to make it perform decently and for a highly detailed vehicle that performs decent people who are into their small scale crawlers will pay. They'd sell way more. They're definitely missing a trick.

Honestly a little research with these offbrands rc are often worth it. Not everyone has the means to afford the high-end brands like traxxas/arrma/losi/ta I can go on. These cheaper cars allow more individuals to be welcomed Into the hobby without forking $300+ just to see if you like the hobby.
