right?!! In my opinion the first three books are the most similar to movies and then from the 4th book onwards the books just have so much more depth
Love how you mentioned being open minded with the first book of a series. A good story needs a good set up! Sometimes that can be boring but it makes the rest of the series usually hit so much harder!

Please continue the hp series. Its amazing. I have not spent a year without reading hp since i was nine. Its lovely and brings confort when times get hard

Your thoughts on Never were so articulate and one of the best reviews I’ve seen thus far❤ You really shared your own personal experience and I respect that. I agree that knowing the original Peter Pan story is SO important. I think it needs to be read in light of the original story and the time period it takes place in. I feel the same way as you about Jessa’s writing and I personally liked Never (even how frustrating the characters could be) and I’m excited to continue the series and have hope it’ll only get better.
I couldn’t bring myself to finish Never- I am so sad because I was so excited for this release 😭

I think caraval being described as a fever dream is perfect just because i think we were supposed to feel like that if i am making any sense but please finish the series tella's stroy line is so much better than scarlet in my opnion the story starts and ends with her . She is the main character of the series in my opnion

Happy new year Rachel. I hope 2024 in kind to you. I love the Harry Potter series. The first two books are more for younger people but from book 3 on the stories get darker especially from the goblet of fire. I think you might enjoy them if you continue to read them.
I love the way you explained how you may not love the first book in a series because that’s exactly how I felt with acotar and now i’m fully encapsulated in the world. the way you explained it was so good!

American version is called sorcerers stone because it’s a translation of British English so it’s a different version. American published by Scholastic and British published by Bloomsbury. And please continue the HP series!
Also the editor of the american version thought that philosophers stone will sound too boring to american kids

Because of you I started the Magnolia Parks series and I've never been so obsessed with anything in my life! I'm on book 4 and I'm reading it so slowly just to make it last. Can you film a video on how to/how you annotate books? I got really into reading last year and I've already read 4 this year and really want to get into annotating but I have NO idea how to even start it or anything!!
I read Daisy Haites the great undoing too in December. It was 5/5🌟 for me too. I ship Julian with her sm. I bet they’re gonna end up together hopefully. can’t wait to read the 5th book in February.

I definitely recommend the rest of the Lovelight Farms books. My favourite was the 2nd one, In the Weeds, I’m a sucker for a quiet but romantic MMC haha. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year!

I’m nervous to read Never because of the mixed reviews! But I think going in knowing that about the characters helps! I neeeed to finish the magnolia parks series first though!
Harry Potter is my comfort series, I love the way it's written. If you continue the series you will be amazed at how much foreshaddowing is in the early books that brings deapth to the later books its incredible. Also I think they changed the name to make it more understandable in the US or something?

- reading only books off my physical tbr for a certain time and during that time your not allowed to buy books

Harry Potter starts off as middle grade and meant for younger kids but as the series goes on it veers a little more towards ya. I still think it can be enjoyed by anyone of any age and I would love to see your thoughts on the rest of the series!

I read two of my 23 books to read in 2023 in the first days of 2024, both were 5 stars, and I still have 4 that I didn't get to. But I got them all for Christmas so at least I own them.

If you like romance with a twist of thriller? I would highly suggest Nora Roberts. Yes I know she may not be what the cool kids are reading 😂 and some of her romances have a paranormal aspect, I.e.The Morrigan Cross trilogy (sorry, I can’t remember the proper name, that’s the first book), but I’ve always found her books to be enjoyable.

I feel like the only person who loved Never. I’m confused by people not liking the characters because they’re flawed, but for me the characters in Magnolia Parks are far more flawed and just as difficult to like.

Rachel I think if you like once upon a broken heart, you will like Legendary (book 2) more than Caraval. Different MC, Jacks shows up 🤭 Much more world building outside of their little island and the games!

The original rumour was that Americans wouldn’t know what the Philosophers Stone was like everyone else knows it was a stone used in alchemy to turn base metals into gold!!! I believe the actual reason was to appeal to a wider audience.
