I just realised Filipinos use as much english in their daily language as Indians do. I thought all countries spoke bilingually and then I saw shows from korea, china and thailand and realised that they barely used any English which made me feel weird about how much English we use daily. Cuz like 50% of words we speak daily are English!! This filipino series is literally giving me life!!!

It's been 2 years since this BL series was released and it's 2023 now, I still have chills I mean come on!! Why does anyone not noticed the song choices for this series?? I mean come on!! All of the music is so good that it's like a nostalgic feeling whenever it plays in the background. It is well thought of and i must say Ian and Paolo - BRAVO!!! sometimes i play all the music from this series while doing something, I don't know why it feels nostalgic, I feel it takes me back during my childhood, that's what all the music from this series does to me. STILL ONE OF THE BEST IF NOT UNDERRATED PHILIPPINE BL SERIES THERE IS!

Like discovering a new color spectrum, your brain doesn't know how to process it at first, its beauty, its vibranc, its shadows. When you try and explain these new colors to others, it is impossible to put into words. As one cannot fathom new colors. That is what GSP is to me.
I've re-watched this series so many times in a week. Never liked BL shows. To fantasy, empty of depth and intent. Just using the community and provide fan-service, instead of using the platform to advocate for actual change. GSP has me self-reflecting on my own micro-aggressions, uncovering my own internalized trauma so I could process it in a healthier way, providing representation, showing how beautiful gay love can be, and the pain that can come from it..... I never knew a show can be so full of intent, meaning and purpose. Sets, Music (MY GOD THE MUSIC! READ THE LYRICS!), the props, the lighting (GAH the later episodes, pay attention), writing, the directing, the actors, everything. with such purpose. It rewards your attention to details and subtleties they throw in.
I've loved movies and shows, cried to them, but once you are finished this series you will know what i mean when i say, this is just a different level, a whole new spectrum.

Beautiful insight and I definitely feel the same way about this series. You can feel the advocacy and passion of the creators and actors in every episode. When you hear the interviews of the cast and crew, it’s very telling that this show was made with an intent to better the whole community. It really should be watched more widely.

One of the best directorial BL series i have seen in recent times. Especially the climax with two scenarios and stuffs. Storyline, plots, actors and characters are all completely different from typical Asian BL series which generally has so much noise, stereotype, masala, horrible BGM, school trousers and stuffs, without them, this Pinoy BL series completely stands out with brilliance. Hats off to the filmmaker and i hope he/she takes more such series in the future.

Trust me, watch this without any doubts. I am rewatching from the beginning for the 5th time already. This is seriously one of the best series i have watched this year. There is no cringe, no overacting, the chemistry between the leads is amazing, the side characters are hilarious, and the storytelling is amazing with certain metaphors and foreshadowing in betwren the episodes which makes so much sense by the end of those episodes. You will love it.

This is the first Filipino show I’ve watched, and oh goodness i am fascinated by the language use. Im used to people speaking in a mix of Spanish and English, but adding in Filipino to the mix is making my brain try to auto translate what they’re saying by using context clues and the parts of sentences that i do understand if that makes sense? Kinda sad that all the English is due to colonialism, but sure has resulted in a delightful mix of languages

Basically a collection of clichés that while people are tired of, they will still go and see it because they like these types of stories. Mafia leader trope is like way too fricking overused in fanfictions.

Okay so i came back to review this series. This is ultimate BL show u could watch which is pretty short and that is great . Main leads have beeauutifullll chemistry they bond so good that it looks like it is not a show but a reality . Kudos to the writers everything they said just had beautiful deep meaning to it that u have to wait and think of it which is veryyy rare . U will have to watch this for atleast 2 times to understand little details they mentioned that you will miss out in first time . Andnot to forget her sister is just anotherrrr level ALLY. 😁her vibes and presence is just on point . And lastly being a music lover , every song they used is sooo prettty and accurate to scenes . Must watch (10/10)

Omg I could go OFF about acting in Thai Bl’s. They can be good, however the normal editing style in Thailand is so different to what I’m used too in America. There are many very cute scenes that get by even when the acting is a bit iffy. But when Bl’s have good acting AND non-generic themes it makes the SO MUCH BETTER. I’m tired of the same comedy relief lines, mc personality tropes, and boring outfits bro.
Of course I say all this but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop watching. I’m still waiting for the day I find an amazing realistic lgbtqia+ from south/southeast Asia. I just need three things: realistic/good acting, non-distractive editing that actually adds to the story instead of being completely unreasonable, and a story that deals with real issues of being lgbtqia+ along with the main storyline. That’s all I ask bl gods 🙏

It’s not ruining the whole show but some of those scenes could be left out for the series to be closer to perfection, like this one (at least for now). I agree with YinjaW, some of the scenes are just the usual “Drama” they put into the series which are unnecessary. It will be kakiligkilig if the story and execution are great and not because of those dramas.

The language they are speaking sounds like mix of spannish, english and some other language.
The Filipino language is a combination of both Tagalog and Spanish languages; it is our official language. English is our 2nd official language. We tend to code-switch in every sentence because some English words don't really have an exact translation in our language, and some terms/words are easier to express in English. Moreover, we feel awkward speaking in DEEP Filipino/Tagalog (yes, this is true) so we resort to the English language. I hope this helps.

Its been a year neighbors! Thank you GSP! Thank you GSP team! You gave us a series that made our lives whole. . .
I like how GSP isn't as fast-paced as other BLs. It's a very, VERY refreshing take on the genre. It's like a cross between the youthful and the more mature BL shows. I love it.
I'm also VERY particular with subtleties and like #Quaranthings The Series, GSP is filled with those. The way the actors' eyes move, widen, and narrow. The way their mouths move. The body language. There is no wasted shot, no wasted scene, no wasted time.
Ian does an excellent job with portraying his role and Paolo does really well despite being a newbie. I like Pao's quick shift from confused to in love at the end. It might not be a huge thing, but it is. It's everything.
A bl that takes place in a college time line without the whole awkward school scenes. And characters that have real life shit to deal with besides each other. This is so refreshing on so many levels.

Karl is such a cutie and Vlad is a hottie. The pacing was perfect. There's a chemistry right a way without cringey part. The acting was on point but could be better. The story is remarkable as well. Simple but lovely. The soundtrack is perfect. I must say, this is such a great start. Keep it up!
