Tailgate Reverse Camera: amzn.to/45tVKNR
Headunit: amzn.to/3VIVNnX
USB/USB C Plug: amzn.to/3QezdQV
Wired CarPlay Plug: amzn.to/3rOcvph
Flexible Rod (THIS HELPS A LOT): amzn.to/46uyeBI - Auta a dopravní prostředky
P.S. for the app labeled AR Camera (where you can view the F/R camera at anytime), make sure you select SD Card as the recording device.
Another note: If you want wired carplay, plug the male end of your cable into the headunit. Do not use the usb cable extension out of the back of the headunit! Make sure you directly plug in your cable into the headunit itself.
I recently replaced my JY-TQ167N4G-B (Android 10), with this Joying JY-TZ167N4. I am using the same tailgate handle camera and a Joying AR front camera. I can see either cameras when using the AR Camera app, but the recording only records the front AR camera correctly. The rear camera shows up as green video when played back. Have you recorded both successfully? I wonder if it has something to do with the rear camera being a different format/resolution. You would think if you could see either camera just fine it could record both. I am going to drop Joying an email.
@@N6EAJ Change your rear camera type to CVBS
@@N6EAJ Oh, I misread. Your camera works, just shows up as green video on playback. In that case, yes, I would email
Joying
@@socalexpeditions Have you successfully recorded video from both the front AR camera and the rear tailgate handle camera and have been able to play both back?
@@N6EAJ Yes, I have.
You the man. Thanks for the "trick" about scrolling up to find the CVBS-N setting. I messed with my camera for three days without being able to get it to show up on the screen. I knew it was wired properly. All of the Joying's seemed to be a bit different, even their factory video was no help. Thank you!
No problem man!!
Thank you for getting back with me on the other questions I had how I have one more question for you and that is how and where did you mount your front camera on your tundra I have a 2010 and would like to mount it in the grill but the whole grill comes up with the hood so was wondering what did you do?
Still working on this one. Most likely will go in the grille and run the wiring in a wiring loom to the grille.
I prefer the stinger head unit but This is cool too
Stinger is pretty cool! I don’t like floating decks though, so for OEM looking stuff, this is the best out there.
Hello, thanks for the very useful video! I got the same unit, but where did you install the front camera? Do you have any pictures of the front camera?
I just got my extension wiring for it, need to put it on when I get the new bumper on. In 1-2 months I’ll include it in a video!
How are you gonna mount the front camer? What type of fastener?
I was wondering if you leave the red wire connected to the tail light or if you replace it with the purple wire. Alternatively, do you hook them both up to the tail light?
Purple at tail light. Red at 12v for switching on. Purple to trigger wire on headunit wiring. Add front cam to the 12v with the red.
I know this video was two months ago but I was wondering what did you do with the power wire in the rear of the truck for the camera connect bc you said you hooked the purple wire to the red/blue wire to the rear but I didn’t catch what you did with the hot wire/red or did you tie it in with the purple
You only need power in 1 spot for the red wire. Either from the rear tail light, or a 12v from the headunit wiring.
I used the 12V ACC power wire from the headunit wiring harness for that red wire so I can have an anytime camera!
@@socalexpeditions I’m currently follow your example. Had the same question as above. Connected the red wire to 12v ACC behind the unit, but what does the other end of that wire connect to? The purple is connected to the reverse light, but not sure where the other end of the red wire needs to terminate.
@@trentsmith4800 You don’t need to hookup the other red wire that terminates by the reverse light, only one side to the ACC as you’ve done.
How did you do getting a longer cam cable from Joying. I have a 15.1 head unit and I'm installing on a 36 foot motorhome.
For the front camera? They don’t sell extensions but Amazon does.
have a 2010 with the shifter on the steering collum went to order this head unit but they had so many options a-f i don't have steering wheel control, so which one did you purchase providing you don't have steering wheel control
Without JBL. They can all support steering wheel controls, it's the JBL that is the difference. Whether you order from the website or Amazon, you can send a message along with the order explaining what features you have and dont have. For instance, you'd say "Non-JBL, no steering wheel controls."
Do u need to get a canbus or amplifier for the sound to work on the speaker ?
Nope
Nice truck .how was the undercarriage? No rust issues? I believe you had mentioned it was an out of state purchase. I have had no luck finding one Rcsb tundra😢
0 Rust! I refuse to buy vehicles with any sort of rust.
Are you able to cast or somehow watch movies or videos directly from your phone to the joying headunit?
Yes
Where did you get the clip for the tailgate
What clip?
Did you purchase any of the joying AR Cameras? Did they have a longer cable for the front camera? How long was the shipping for the head unit?
The front camera is a joying. I did find a long enough cable on amazon. Took 2 days or so
@@socalexpeditions what cable did you order?
How is the volume knob working so far.
Great! No problems
did the head unit make for better sound quality out of the speakers? or is it negligible
Yes absolutely.
Should be an improvement as Toyota stock head units are known to reduce bass output as volume is increased (apparently to protect the cheap speakers). Any decent aftermarket stereo should be an improvement because of this, and better speakers would be another improvement.
Do you hear any hissing from the speakers at low volume? Or when nothing is playing?
Not that I can tell
@@socalexpeditions Thank you! I bought a different one on Amazon and it does that. I’m gonna return it and get this one instead.
Can you mirror of your phone like watching something of a safari browser
I haven’t tried this yet. I can hotspot it on my phone though.
Question bro i install the unit and how i connect to car play
Go on the apps page. Swipe all the way to the ZLink app. It’s in the furthest page.
If you can’t figure it out, DM me on Instagram @socalexpeditions
Are you having issues with your volume knob? I bought the same head unit and when I change the volume slowly it adjusts slowly, but when I turn it at a slightly faster "normal" speed the knob stops changing the volume. Takes forever to turn the volume up.
No man I don’t have that problem. Reach out to Joying and request a new screen?
@@socalexpeditions Yeah, I reached out and after troubleshooting and sending video of the issue they were adament it was normal behavior and refused to send me a replacement screen. I just won't buy from them in the future and have to accept that it's a (slow) fine adjustment volume knob now. Disappointing for sure, but it works great other than that.
Does 360 camera work on this?
Hmmm, not sure on that one!
What is the can bus setting?
You don’t need it.
thanks. can you fade to the rear? I for some reason cannot.
@@j_356_5 The audio? Yes I can but in a RCSB there are no back speakers
the "joying NEWEST 10.1 android" already has the dongle for the factory rear camera. fyi..
Yes true. If only I had that stock factory camera lol!
Ok so the only wire in the was the purple ok thanks very much
Yes, in the rear harness under the truck, it is just the purple for the trigger wire.
So the red wire in the rear under the truck was not used at all? Just the purple tapped to the blue&red and leave the red wire capped off?
Nvm I saw you clear it on another comment
The phone you have is it an IPhone.
Yes
