  • Quite a lot of people have been interested in the stove we've been using, which is the Bushbox XL Titanium from Bushcraft Essentials.
We picked it up primarily for bikepacking trips cos we wanted something to use as a wood stove but could also use a Trangia spirit burner and a Trangia gas burner. Now we use it for pretty much all of our trips because this multi-fuel stove ticks a lot of boxes!
After months of using the firebox across a variety of trips, we love it. But I'll let you watch the video to find out more.
Oh, and the stats. It's 21x17x1 cm when packed down and 490g. You can find more info here: www.bushcraft-essentials.com/...

And, if you're wanting a smaller stove for lighter solo trips, there's also the Bushbox LF and the Bushbox LF Titanium which are similar but smaller.
Hope it's been helpful. Any other questions (or just to say hi!) drop us a comment below!

You don't need to place the pins that far down to use fuel, just place them on top...
    Really good review.
I ordered one in titanium and recieved it today. Really light and doesn't take up much space. Haven't tried it yet bc it's freezing temperatures over here...around 0 degrees celcius. The little bit of snow we had is almost gone, it's dark and very wet. Not fun at all to go outdoors. But in february...when the sun is coming. ^^

Cheers for tip, will try higher up to stop wind getting to it. Hope you can get out soon and test!

I just scored one in our spring hammock hang raffle this weekend! So looking forward to using it! I'm really interested in messing with other fuels as well. We have a lot of food service gel fuel canisters from our trip to Dry Tortugas a couple years ago and I am hoping those work like the Trangea stove! That is so cool! I am also wondering if my GSI Pinnacle 4 season stove will tuck in there too. We shall see!

the LF is 10cm the XL is 17cm square
    tall I don't know...?
but I'm thinking I would like the XL
there is also a large grill for the XL
I've seen metal tent pegs used for supports, there are round holes in it
I would think the Tangia Gas Burner would clip in nicely

Yes, can't comment on the LF but the XL works well with a Trangia gas burner

first thing it's a great stove, i know I paid for the thing. BTW the XL Ti is way more quids than you said and always has been! so you've had it for 6 months after they "sent" it to you! I guess well done then, super nice freebie for you guys! My issue isn't with you guys but with the manufacturers giving away kit to anybody with a YT channel, whilst the rest of us have to cover the loss in the retail price we pay! great stove, but seriously getting P Offed with BE.DE.

Hey there, cheers for ya comment. In the UK a Google search comes up with prices of £131 and £136 from reliable retailers, but you're right, there are more expensive options. I guess from a manufacturer's point of view, as long as they sell 1 additional unit resulting from a product they've given away, they're going to make a considerable profit (considering the retail price compared to actual price). Besides just the marketing material, I personally find it pretty useful having reviews and walkthroughs online. I'll always watch a bunch before making purchases. Just as long as the views and opinions are impartial etc. Not sure what Be DE is though.
