    M4 will be extended to the north with 2 new stations by 2030. M5 will be build as a 3/4 circle line connecting Østerport and Central station via Amager and Lynetteholmen by 2035. Before construction begins on the M5 it will be decided if the line instead should be a complete circle line. Thereby giving Copenhagen 2 circle lines like in an 8 with an overlap in the center of the city though without being connected.
