    Think new wheel/tyre sits far better in arch 👍 thanks for feedback on suspension upgrade for fast road setup, sounds like a worthwhile improvement over stock. . . pity evo s not compatible with the 7.5R 😔

      Thanks for watching and the kind words!! For fast road, I think it’s the best setup of you want to enjoy lowing, better handling and great ride quality.
      EVO S is essentially a B14 kit (slightly different, but very similar). So if you go B14, you can enjoy similar as this!

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks again for watching and your kind words! We were running 38 PSI hot. From a tyre POV the pressure is needed to support it, as the tyre is quite weak but from a footprint POV is not optimal.
      But that's the trade off you have when you use a tyre that's not meant for track, on the track, haha!

    Any idea if these are much different to the older B14 design internally? I can see they’ve had a make over externally but am wondering how they compare to the B14’s in both ride and handling characteristics.
    I’ve got a mk7 and am interested in fitting some Bilstein’s to my car but have no idea whether to go with the B12 pro kit, or the B14 / Evo S coilovers so would like to know the difference in ride and handling between those three.
    Mine is a daily driver only, no track work for me so improved handling with minimally sacrificed ride comfort is essential!
    Great in depth review by the way, keep up the good work lads 👍

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for the comment Alex, the 'EVO' series is completely different to the 'B' series of suspension in terms of construction and intended use. e.g. B14 vs EVO S, B14 is firmer whereas EVO S is closer to stock ride quality. Then if you want a track suspension, they have the 'T' range, which is yet to be released across all models.
      If it's a daily driver, EVO S will be the one.

    If this EVO S kit is similar to the B14 coilover kit are the spring rates different? Also, if both the B14 and EVO S are closely related are the springs and other suspension components interchangeable? I'm currently running the B14 kit on my MK7.5 GTI was wondering if its possible that the EVO S springs can possibly fit onto the B14 kit?

    • @RegalAutosport
      @RegalAutosport  Před 2 lety +1

      The damper construction is very different, you would need to speak to BILSTEIN about inter kit part compatibility

    • @alfredodiodati208
      @alfredodiodati208 Před rokem +1

      Looking through the TUV documents for B14 and EVO S, the EVO S uses 10% lighter springs in front, but essentially the same springs in the rear. The internal construction of the fronts is indeed completely different; EVO S is a twin-tube while B14 is monotube. EVO S is still monotube in the rear though. EVO S also lowers about 5mm less front and rear than B14.
