it helps with your mass manipulation to an extent as less mass is easier to control, but there aren't always opportunities to do so and it also means you have less backup mass to fall back on if you make a mistake or get sabotaged/unlucky. my preference is 40-55k.
@@Chirple It's true, there aren't always opportunities but i think it's a good strategy to keep in mind and do when you are able to. Having some backup mass is a good idea however keeping too much makes it more likely to make mistakes or get unlucky with auto-splits and viruses and end up giving the mass right back to the enemy, i think it's better to delete the extra mass. More importantly you want to avoid playing the botters' game, otherwise you can end up with a lot of mass but all tangled up and stuck with the botter on top of you like in 8:14 - 9:22 which is very frustrating. Maybe at 7:32 , 9:50 and 12:12 were some good points to slow down a bit and look for ways to delete some mass from the server. In one of his later videos he played a big server as well, full of botters, however he played that one perfectly, deleted mass whenever he had to and ended up taking over convincingly.

Does a deleting mass strategy work on this big mass servers? Maybe keep 30-35k and feed all extra mass to a 22.5k piece when you're 16.
