They don't have a bad song, it's one of those bands you never get tired of. Mellow, beautiful, just a good vibe
Yess I'm 22 and I grew up listening to their stuff as a kid my mom always had them playing in the house
Maybe the Best American band ever?
@@raymcarthur3870 American? As a Brit, I'm happy to argue they were perhaps the best band ever, irrespective of nationality. So much talent. So many memorable, ageless tunes. I doubt there's a person alive that has not heard one of their songs.
This, "One of those nights", is my favourite. The intro just gets me, every time.
Okay, headphones on, volume to max...time to enjoy the sound of angels.
@@arturomarin3601 your mom had great taste and I'm delighted a younger person appreciates this band.
@@treubuchet exactly the are very talented musicians. They were the first concert I ever went to and it amazed me how they could all sing and all play every instrument on the stage. Watching don henely on the drums while singing flawlessly is so impressive
Don Felder said that he wrote this solo thinking of what a sax player would play in that situation, and it resulted in one of my favourite guitar solos ever
Don Felder wrote the bass line too for Randy 💜
@@karenmanemeit7803 Felder is a really talented guy, sad that he had some clashes with Glenn and Henley
@@jvpascual3211 just because his singing wasn’t his forte…🙄
Still strange that the main contributor to their greatest hit was discarded!😳🙁😞
I love Felder. I hate what happened with them.
This is my absolute FAVORITE Eagles song
One of the best lyrics ever in a song:
I've been searching for the daughter of the devil himself
I've been searching for an angel in white
I've been waiting for a woman who's a little of both
And I can feel her but she's nowhere in sight
yeah that struck me too listening this time around
I always thought this part is what other song lack - where he's looking not just for a good woman but also a fiery one.
And the way it's expressed in the lyrics is just perfect.
Searching for the devil. He's cloaked in light and convinces everyone he doesn't exist. This is pretty dark stuff.
One of the very best bands to ever do it. Unbelievable talent both in their music and vocals!!
My favorite Eagles song when I was a teen, still gets me.
Same here!!
Me too!
Brings back some great memories...
Let’s please acknowledge the exquisite falsetto voice & master of harmonies, Randy Meisner! He was an amazing singer in his own right! God he is so underrated!
You took the words right out of my mouth every song randy was lead in was a hit and he hit notes that have never been invented
RIP Randy!
“Seven Bridges Road”
“I Can’t Tell You Why”
Are two of my all time favorite songs.
And Try to Love Again!
Glenn Frey, who passed away, had stated that he was listening to popular R&B songs, most notably The Spinners “Could it be I’m falling in love” and Al Green’s “Let’s stay together” and even Al Wilson “Show and Tell.” (You can hear the 4 on the floor drum beat in all 4 of these songs, kind of a pick-me-up feel). Frey was from Detroit and he was into and influenced by Motown and Soul music but his voice was more suited for the Western and Country Rock sound. Don Henley’s voice was more soulful even though he was more of a Country and Rock lover. Frey was at the piano when he started playing a minor descending pattern and Henley heard it and started singing “One of these Nights.” They wanted to put a song out that was different than the country ballads. They made the attempt to put out something that would grab everyone’s attention by drawing attention to nightlife, horror themes, sexual encounters (album cover design looks like a female reproductive system), and personal pursuits using nasty guitar sounds. So it sounds very disco racing car-esque rock and soulful. A lot of Eagles fans hated the song but most people loved it.
Live performances from 1977 concert are really fun to watch, it's their strongest lineup. I think that a particularly good performance from that concert was Take it to the Limit. Like others mentioned though, Eagles are notorious blockers.
Yes definitely! With gorgeous Randy Meisner on lead vocals. He was always self conscious of his singing. Don't know why?
Poor Randy, my favourite Eagle by far but such a tortured soul, his solo song Hearts on Fire is wonderful
The great Don Felder kiling it on guitar with help from Glenn Frey.
@@kenperk9854 nah brah... Joe Walsh and Don Felder... perfect guitar duo with Glenn Frey playing rhythm guitars.
I watched that concert so many times a few years back, love it so much! Can’t find it anymore 😢
Great song, Word of warning Eagles are notorious for blocking their stuff. Good luck.
Some of the greatest musicians to ever lay it down on tape. You're right with the less-is-more. They never have a wasted note, and never more than they need.
If you want Eagles harmony try Seven Bridges Road
I second that!
one of the most angelic things I've ever heard
Listen to this person, they know what they're talking about!
To start you off, listen to "Hotel California" and "Take it Easy".
No, don't start with the obvious! They let a few pass through. You may like those stupid non official videos ,,but they usually suck, they change the tempo to faster and are distorted, not all, hehe
Hotel California is worn out , you've heard that I'm sure. Pretty Maids in a row, Desperado,, Tequila Sunrise,, pick anything that they let you
Not the Hotel song, God 🙉
The best song ever!!! The guitar rifts, the falsetto, the harmonies etc!
My favorite eagles song since the 90s as a blk kid in middle school. Luv me some eagles favorite group
The Eagles are an amazing band. You can pretty much pick any song.
The Long Run
Hotel California
Take it Easy
I would say wasted time but I'm betting it is blocked.
@@kenperk9854 if I'm not mistaken Don Felder wrote that song and took the rights to it when he left the band. If you Google the song it's hard to find any version of it on CZcams. But I agree with you it's an awesome track
I play this sexiest song in a hospital literally lift everybody’s spirits up
It's a Rock'n'Roll song with a R&B feel to it!
Definitely, out all their great songs, my favorite. It's the Eagles at their best for sure!!
Don Henley on lead vocals. Funny because Henley has probably been the most vocal about not liking his stuff being played online and not being paid.
Don Henley. Love him, get super annoyed by him. What do ya do?
You do know he's broke, don't you?
@@kenperk9854 ok and
I dont listen to these guys but they have a handful of awesome songs. I love this one. It's so 70s.
Great review and great points about a short, simple song that still checks all the right boxes.
a react channel who knows what he's talking about? Easy sub from me, keep up the good work
There's a version that starts with just that luscious bass, then the other guitars come in. So the intro is like 20 to 30 seconds long. Too cool.
I appreciate how well you listen
Right? I love this guy!!
Ahhh yes thank you! I hope Desperado by Eagles is in your sight.
A must do masterpiece!
I don't think they have a bad song. One of the best bands of all time.
Love that you love the harmonies. BAM! Pick out any Eagles song and you'll be impressed. They sound just as good in concert live
Top 5 for one of my favourite eagles songs!
‘Lying eyes’ and ‘New kid in town ‘ are amazing. If you hadn’t reacted to those already lol
Great reaction overall 😊
My favorite is love will keep us alive and in a new York minute
Hey dude, I enjoyed watching your reaction to The Eagles “One of these Nights “ Your critique of the song was spot on. That’s exactly what it was about. “I’ve been searching for the daughter of the devil himself, I’ve been searching for an Angel in white, I’ve been searching for a woman who’s a little bit of both...”
Check out The Eagles "I cant tell you why"."Hotel California".
I Can’t Tell You Why....My favorite Eagles song with Timothy B Schmit on lead.
I personally like the Vince Gill version better but Eagles are AMAZING
Seven Bridges Road shows off their harmonies extra-well.
My favourite Eagles songs since I was 14!
Don Henley is singing lead here, AND playing drums!
Check out;
Life in the fast lane
Thanks
If you do "Lyin' Eyes" make sure it's the six-minute version from the album and not the four-minute single. Two verses and a chorus cut out. It basically ruins the point of the story.
Disco was influenced by this since Eagles are pre-disco. They have a lot of great songs. “Try to Love Again” and “Last Resort” are a couple of really good deeper cuts.
Eagles/Witchy Woman studio version
This song .. vibe .. message Everything
It’s just like the original. One of my favorites.
ANY SONG pretty much by the Eagles is gold! I'm biased as they are still my favorite band - then and now with Deacon & Vince!!
Hot tune on the FM when I was a pup
My favorite Eagles song. Masterpiece. The guitar solo. Epic greatness.
Try these songs from The Eagles also: Life in the Fast Lane, Witchy Woman, Hotel California, Take it Easy, Lyin' Eyes. There's lot's to explore.
And tequila sunrise
Truly one of their best
How in the heck did I miss this? Love me some Eagles! The Eagles were the band you bought ever album when released because every song was solid! Then, the solo stuff was fire as well.
They sound the same in concert, no voice alterations, all raw talent
A sentimental favorite of mine. My now husband bought this album for me when we were dating & we both loved it.
Love this song. Brings me back to my younger years. ❤ the bassline, harmonies, amazing melody. Nice reaction.
That's my favorite Eagles song, though it was an odd truncated version. It missed out the longer intro, and cut the outro fade far too short. This was the first full album that Don Felder came in for. That's him doing the beautiful guitar fills, and playing one of the greatest guitar solos ever, probably only beaten by his Hotel California solo. It's just such a tasty, perfect, solo.
I envy you! Eagles are amazing! Enjoy the harmonies! So much beautiful music for your ears to enjoy.
I Can't Tell You Why, Desperato, Life in the Fast Lane
That's a great song! They do not make bad music! Their.harmonies are tight. Been listening to them since the 70's!
Timothy Schmidt... DAMN GOOD UNDERRATED BASSIST/SINGER
Seven Bridges Road has amazing harmony. Keep on keeping on 💕💕💕
I love that you know music and use musical terminology. Glad you were able to discover the Eagles! You gained a sub :)
Oh my favorite band ever! Love them. They sound this great live still. Saw them recently
Heartache tonight rocks pretty good, too!
Check out The Eagles Farewell 1 Tour Live from Melbourne Australia-2005 - it's a master class in how to give a world class concert. Watch them play multiple instruments, tight harmonies, amazing guitar riffs, wonderful lyrics, solos-their humor on stage,. A real blast and the best way to enjoy the Eagles-see them live.
Lyin' Eyes , Those Shoes-or-Victim Of Love. Great songs as all of their music is. The were coined the American version of The Beatles. Very , Very successful band. Joe Walsh did alot with them also.
You should also listen to : I can't tell you why, a great melody, and romantic, song. I hope you will enjoy it.
This is one of my favourite all time songs, thank you for reacting and making me smile. Please listen to more from one of the greatest, out talented bands of all time.
This was the band's slight delve into Disco, as you can hear by the rhythm of the song. Several well-known bands during this time tried their hand at Disco, most notably Kiss ("I Was Made For Loving You") and The Rolling Stones ("Miss You").
"Seven Bridges Road" starts right out with great harmonies. Also, "Hole in the World" has fantastic harmonies!
You need to check out the live version. This is one of my favorites by the Eagles ❤
Another terrific reaction. Great work.
Would love to hear more Eagles. After all they are the biggest selling American band in music history. “Hotel California”, “Life In The Fast Lane”, “New Kid In Town”, “Take It To The limit”, “Take It Easy”, “Peaceful Easy Feeling”, and so many more great ones
Loveeee this song!!! Omg thank u for this reaction!!👏👏🎶🎶🥰❤👏
So many great songs. I love I Can't Tell You Why, Those Shoes, Best of My Love, Life In The Fast Lane. I could go on and on.
This guitar solo makes my top 10 solos list of all time.
You're bang on regarding quality of production. The recording, engineering, mixing etc are at an EXTREMELY high level. The devil is in the details. I have an original Half-speed-master (LP) of Hotel California ... what's crazy is how much more detail is hiding in there, but you need the good source material to truly hear it.
I grew up on the Eagles , back in the early 70s , San Antonio Antonio , Texas
Your Eagles trip is going to be as good as your Steely Dan trip....so jealous!
Any Eagles!!! Check out Wastes Time! Don Henley is amazing!
Have you done the classic Hotel California? The 2 yes 2 lead guitarists kill it. This is where you'll hear the guitar playing from Joe Walsh. A successful musician in his one.
Check out Joe Walsh in;
Life's been good so far and, Rocky Mountain Way
😁
Nice! Love the breakdown! You can check out Take it to the limit, Desperado, or Wastes Time. All have great harmonies and are classics from The Eagles
Lyin eyes by the eagles is goated
This kid is wise beyond his years...
One of my favorites among many Eagles tunes. Check out Take it to the Limit. Live at capital center 1977. Sung by the amazing Randy Meisner.
Excellent reaction again Jay Rah!🤙🏽🎶
The entire catalog by the Eagles is 🔥! Some of ny favs, "I can't tell you why", tequila sunrise, take it easy and witchy woman. .. . Countless others but it would take hours to type lol! Best harmonizes in all of music IMO! Enjoy the Eagles rabbit hole you wontbe dissatisfied!
Thanks for the detailed & interesting reaction. Best American band IMO not a bad song on any of there albums. All of their songs that hit the charts are memorable, musically interesting, with great vocals especially Glenn Frey. Always a solid guitar solo. There'e are so many songs that you need to check out. Of course there's the iconic Hotel California, and Take it Easy which is one of my favorite road trip songs. When I'm feeling melancholy I have to listen to Desperado. Pretty much a song for every occasion. They are solidly in my top five of music I must have with me if I'm stranded on a desert island.
Love this song.... just plain love the eagles.
'Hotel California' is a classic
Please listen to Those Shoes and 7 Bridges Road both by the Eagles!!!
Lyin’ Eyes hands down.....rocked that song as a child
One of the GOAT summer songs
Something haunting and deep with this intro. Feels! Great song
Eagles' harmonies? "Seven Bridges Road"
Bro one of the best harmonies the eagles have
I happen to love the Eagles! And again, one of my fave songs! Takes me back to my growing up years. They got/get a lot of grief, but I think this band is absolutely full of top notch musicians, singers & writers. Don Henley (phenomenal drummer) & Glenn Frye were great song writers. And man, they have so very many songs! lol Here some too get you started...keep in mind that they are more of a laid back band with the exception of a couple of songs: Witchy Woman, The Best of My Love, Lyin' Eyes, personal fave Desperado, Take it to the Limit, New Kid in Town, Seven Bridges Road, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Love Will Keep Us Alive, Those Shoes, Victim of Love, In The City, and the more rockin Life in the Far Lane & of course, the quintessential Hotel California (one that you'll have to keep circling the block because you can't turn it off!). Make sure you hit all of those. Great songs!
Eagles..Hotel California. Fire 🔥
Oh so many to choose from!!....Don't know a song I don't really like by them...,"Victim of Love" ,.."Witchy Woman" ...,"Tequila Sunrise"....so many!! Hope you like them!!
This was the theme song of every young man back in the day. In my top five of iconic bands of all time. Remastered just means it was cleaned up, not rearrange of changed in any way. No No No...that is not Disco! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lyin Eyes has great harmonizing! 💙🎼✌️
Literally only here because of the bass, glad you enjoy it as much as I do!
Seven Bridges Road is a piece that will blow your mind! Looked for more...you stopped at one?
I would recommend their live performances more than studio.
I loved the bass.
I can't believe no one has done Pretty Maids All in A Row
The Eagles started off as Linda Ronstadt's band
Dude, you slayed me with the "gawk gawk machine " comment! 😆
Naughty boy 🤭
Good memories!! released June 75 I was 16 summer 1975 at Montréal,Canada...this is original studio version at radio band AM.
