This is the weirdest thing. I found your channel this morning, looked through multiple videos, saw the one over your 43x, saw the next one over the sig, and saw a bunch of comments saying “I would love to see these two guns put together in one of your videos.” And I liked those comments and subscribed.
Two hours later I find this video, posted today, one hour ago from the time of this comment. Wild

I went ahead and got a P365X Macro Comp back in November on my 21st birthday. I shot both the 43x and the 365 on the day of and determined for myself the sig was a better option. Having now shot a friend's Glock 43X built out, I can say I still prefer my sig but I see much of the allure of the Glock. It totally comes down to the user preference.

I own a highly modified 43X. PMM comp, slide milled out for a direct-mount RMRcc, TLR-7Sub, trigger shoe, magwell, etc. Have had it for several years now and I still like it, although I will admit that it's a pretty love-hate relationship for me. My attraction to Glocks is that they are simple pistols that are generally reliable. However, this only applies when they are unmodified. Once you start modifying a Glock, they have a bad habit of becoming jam-o-matics, and it's taken me countless hours of testing and experimenting with accessories and modifications in order to find out what will work reliably on my 43X and what will not. Now granted, that's not exactly Glock's problem per se, however I would argue that there are other handguns that can be modified in the same ways easily and yet still actually work, which is why I now tell people to go with Sig if you're looking for a modernised pistol, or a pistol that you want to modify yourself, because Sigs tend to still actually work after modifiying them, unlike Glocks.

I owned both and the winner for me was the Sig P365 X Macro. Heres my main issue with the 43X (and glocks problem overall) - I bought the 43X when it first came out and there was no MOS version for it available. So I bought a Zafari Precision slide at a local store, I had no way of mounting a light (a good one atleast), but It did alright for me. I didn't like the 10 round mags, so I then did the super expensive upgrade to the Shield Arms mags with their metal mag catch and the gun ran fine...but I was not confident with it. I would shoot it SOO much and past 15 yards, I just wasn't comfortable. Its too snappy, its too light (yes, I put that as a bad thing), Its sad because the form factor was just perfect. Well, the X Macro was introduced, rented one for an hour, shot about 300 rounds through it and bought it that day and sold my 43X at a gun show the next day. OUT OF THE BOX, was able to put my 507k on it, the streamlight TLR-7 Sub (its a carry gun and that light is more slim) and shooting that gun feels like shooting my Glock 19. 17 round magazines STOCK with the gun. It was better in every aspext. I also heavily enjoy the trigger on it. The only issue with the X Macro is the gun is slightly bigger. Biggest trade off in my opinion between the two. The grip is bigger, the gun is slightly wider but youre talking still MUCH smaller than a glock 19. Been carrying it since the day it came out and its on me right now in the office and is a gun I can confidently hit a 6 inch piece of steel off hand at 50 yards easily

I think using the Shield Arms magazines in the Glock is a bad idea. Regardless of how good they might function for some people, the probability that an aftermarket mag will fail is much greater than the probability of you needing more than 11 rounds in a self-defense scenario.

Great gun, just doesn’t fit into edc role for me so I have no other purpose for it. All due respect to GUNMEN but modifying a carry gun is insane to me. My wife can rack the slide much easier with the new spring kit I replaced in one of my guns. All the mods I do are function oriented better trigger, comp, better springs good quality springs last longer than stock btw. If you’re in the fight of your life it’s open division. But I can see if people don’t want to put in the extra work to upgrade and experiment where necessary. It’s fine to run a stock gun. I can see also if all you have is one carry gun then mods can be difficult to work with while vetting and working on your only carry piece. Get good with stock and you will be fine. Us that mod will have fun experimenting and enjoying the fruits of better performance and spending all our extra income to 😂. Have a good one sir.

Never worked on a Glock trigger, but sig FCU is pretty simple.
I think we need to get the “sig going off on its own” mind set out, it was with sigs older p320 internals pretty sure they’ve fixed that. I’ve never heard/seen a p365 going off on its own, a whole different set of internals. But I’m probably wrong since I only have the xmacro and I’m sure there are lemons out there.

You can think whatever you want about sig but that will always be a concern for me. The bigger issue to me is sig's engineering and QC processes. If they were negligent in making the 320's, what else could they be negligent with? Also, their remedy was to offer an optional trigger upgrade instead of a recall. Seems to me like they were trying to minimize the backlash and downplay the situation.

Of course we would love to have as many rounds in the gun as we can get but if you look at the national average on personal self-defense, Shooting, it’s no more than three or four rounds so at the end of the day a 10 round magazine is not the end of the world and these aftermarket magazines. You can’t really rely on it so I rather have a guarantee 10 over a maybe 15 yes I do understand more rounds more better but a 10 round mag with a spare is more than enough for your average Joe self-defense situation. You can get the job done with a six shot revolver it’s all about shot placement no matter how many rounds you have if you can’t shoot you in trouble so the key is get out and train when you become proficient with your firearm and have great shot placement. It’s not gonna matter whether you have a 10 round mag, a 15 round mag or 17 round mag shot placement is everything sometimes we have to get the John Wick fantasies out of our heads if you dealing with John Wick, kind of problems than I understand the 10 round mag not being enough, but we all here for the most part or average Joe so get out and train and work on shop placement and all the fundamentals and you should be fine

Have my x macro comp for about eight months. Put about 2,000 rounds through it with absolutely no issues. Took it to the range yesterday, and after about 150 rounds through it, I got a dead trigger. Can't for the life of me understand why an 800 dollar SIG would leave me hanging like that. I took it home and took the fire control unit out and the trigger spring fell to the floor. That tells me that the spring came loose while still in the gun and while shooting. Not cool sig. I called and got some less than talkative person who told me to send it back. He sent me a label so I guess I'll send it back so they can fix it. I think that spring thing is an issue that sig won't acknowledge. Just saying... I'm not a happy camper... I'm thinking of selling it after sig sauer returns it. Any thoughts?

Runs just as well as factory, never had issues, but that grip angle CHRIST! The sight radius is so damn short on the thing that the front sight is half way up in the window of your dot and I was constantly searching for the dot. I thought I was just a big fucking idiot that couldn’t do it. Then I bought X Macro Tacops and realized it wasn’t me. I can drawn that and get sight picture immediately every time. Both are great firearms. But the ease of complete breakdown with the Glock wins imo. But some would argue when are you ever going to need to completely break down your firearm? But if it happens I know I can do it quickly with my Glock, and have the parts to fix whatever needs fixing. Whatever platform you choose to carry I feel it's important to learn how to replace any part in the pistol.

I love Glock for the same reason I love Toyota, they just work. Having said that, they need a lot of love out of the box. Sights are awful. Grip texture is very below average. The trigger shoe will eat your finger after a lengthy session. But then you have brands like S&W and Canik that are very reliable and have “premium” features out the box. Which in essence make are more affordable because you don’t have to upgrade so many components.
