The very photogenic Lake Argyle has been on our list of must visit places for a very long time. It seemed that we were constantly seeing photos pop up on social media of the picturesque infinity pool so we were very curious and keen to experience it for ourselves.
But what we found is there is way more to Lake Argyle than a beautiful pool! There are some epic 4WD tracks, and some insane views of the lake. We were blown away by the beauty of this area and we only just touched the surface.

I'm an archaeologist specialising in Kimberley rock art - the art shown here is part of the more recent rock art traditions and the Wandjina art style. While much of the imagery is tied to culturally sensitive knowledge, it's relatively publicly accepted that those kinds of upside down figures are cheeky spirit figures, and the croc is possibly connected to local ancestral/dreaming narratives. Likely lots of art sites dotting around the area, but they typically aren't signed or marked to protect them from vandalism. If you'd like to learn more visit some of the local art centres in Kununurra, a wealth of cultural knowledge! And if you're still in the Kimberley check out Moochelabra at Wyndham, another open site with some more signage and an incredible range of paintings!

Yer I'm hooked because that's the trip I'm looking forward to doing I've worked a lot of mine sites in WA but never really explored it done a lot of miles driving to Gal and Karratha but watching you guys just gave me the bug again and doing it slowly and soaking it in I worked in a mine close to argyle can't believe I didn't see it looks awesome God damn I love the big blue and red Of the out back. Again so jealous of your set up how Aussie is what you're doing. Stuck in Melbourne!!!!!

In regards to the VW Engine, it being a “low compression motor” (if it’s a standard engine) then it’s designed to run on a low octane fuel, 91 octane is what it’s designed to run on, plus it’s much cheaper to buy. As for the spark plug gap, experimenting with the gap (as you are doing) is a good idea, as l’m sure you would already know what works best in the driving conditions that you drive in, particularly when driving in varying temperatures. If you are having problems with spark plugs failing, due to hot operating conditions, you may want to consider running a “cooler range plug”. These are designed to dissipate the excess heat more efficiently.
You can buy “special spark plug pliers” that make pulling very tight fitting plug wires off so much easier. Enquire about these pliers from Repco, Supercheap etc, etc, etc. 👍👍
Hey Guys, just watched the vid and saw your spark plug issue. Years ago when I was cooking plugs on my bike I was told not to use 98 as its a dense fuel developed for fuel injection and not carby motors. Not sure if it's true or not but you did say you filled with 98 before that - just a thought!
And that sugar eco fuel 95 I think is not good 4 older cars eats 0 rings and seals out

Wicked old combi. There is a old wrecked combi van in between Kununurra and Wyndham down a old track to a fishing hole. Seen it a couple year ago when I was in the Kimberlys plumbing

Love your videos I would also like to say WARNING PLEASE!! Don't take that Kombi down gunshot, its extremely likely it will tip over onto its roof the shape of the front of the Kombi will make it want to tip. With all the weight in the rear end it's going to tip..

Hi, guys just a bit of advice. gap too wide. may experience loss of power, misfires, spark plug fouling, increased plug wear, or poor gas mileage. Too small of a gap may give too weak of a spark to complete the combustion process within the engine; too wide of a gap can lead to the spark plug not firing correctly, causing misfires at high speeds. just warning you. cheers.
