Climbing can't only be giving to one creature. It would make it unmatched. I bet they give megalania climbing as well or maybe a small raptor. Something has to be able to compete or be able to attack it in the trees.
I know this feature isn’t being talked about yet but I feel like a change to weather systems could be cool, like actual storms that have a effect on flyers and such, like thermals or maybe even currents in the oceans that aquatics could use to traverse faster! Or even something like wildfires or something
Would be nice if the torrential rain effected water drain too. The smallest dinosaurs could gain water in the rain, the dinos a tier up could haven thirst drain paused, and the bigger dinos could have thirst drain slowed down. Temporary freshwater pools that spawn during torrential rains and slowly drain after would be nice too, especially on islands where there is currently no freshwater at all (except for red island)
I think in every beginning server , Burned Forest should start as a Forest, then a random eruption or lightning strike should cause it to catch fire and become its burned version.
PoT NEEDS to add (and some suggestions): - Sense of Smell - Body Dragging - Unique Species Scent System and Scent Tracking - Baby Carrying, all species, without losing stamina for your own/same species hatchlings/juvis - Dangerous Weather and Nature Disasters - Water Currents - Better Marine Environment and Life - Infections and Diseases, especially in hotspots - Deep Wounds and Gashs, which could become infected - Inheritable Traits - Unique Skins resulting from nesting
Might be farfetched, but I'd love for free-roaming AI to mainly spawn in POIs with lower player populations just as an incentive for people to travel there for quests or food. Just anything that would give us a reason to spread out across the map more.
I mentioned this in another comment. But on the off chance it can get some notice, for the sake of spreading players out more; ~Environmental Phenomenons~ Burned Forest having actual fires. Starting at the volcano, the lava flows and burns the forest. Making it a fun place for people to sit and play Dinosaur Chicken when they hear the volcano suddenly starting to erupt and they have to race down to the beach to survive. Salt Flats could make for a cool spot to take photos, after rainfall. Because it would look like a giant mirror, much like real life salt flats. Whistling Columns could have tar pits, adding a challenge (Or benefit!) to hunting/being hunted. Rockfall Hills could have rolling boulders that players themselves could strategically push down to deal damage to a dino below. Or mudslides that roll down into the Mudflats. Rainbow Hills could have colorful rocks/pebbles in the water/river in/surrounding it, like the rainbow rocks in Lake McDonald in Montana. Places like Birchwoods could have poison ivy and makes your dino stop to randomly scratch throughout the duration of the "itch debuff", revealing itself if it were crouched in bushes. This one feels like it should just be a debuff that makes you randomly uncrouch and nothing more. But yeah. Here's hoping the devs catch wind of ideas like these! I like officials, but it definitely used to be more crowded in other parts of the map, 2 years ago.
Excited for tree climbing but a little worried about the fact that most trees actual hitboxes do not line up with the visuals of the upper halves of the trees/don't exist at all
Technically, Microraptor would be the first _official_ obligate glider; our first test of it was actually that alien penguin mod. Besides gliding from trees and high ledges, I'd imagine that Micro would have a reasonably high jump, like proportionally comparable to Deinon's but equal to or slightly below Lat's jump height. Given its play style, I'd expect it to have a robust stamina pool and agility so it isn't always crashing into trees or easily taken out by other dinos once it hits the ground. There's also the question of, if it's like the pounce and grapple abilities, if clinging to and climbing trees will drain stamina? One thing I'm also hopeful for once Micro comes out, it opens the door for someone to possibly mod in a Yi Qi.
It would be cool if when u laid an egg it would give u the option to inv a player to be the hatchling or create an AI dino of your species and add it to your group
I am worried about Microraptor - In one of the older images for the stretch goals describing Microraptor, it specifically said that it will focus on hunting insets (I can't seem to find the image right now, I'm sure it'll come up some where). It's a small playable, and I'm worried that it'll be a second Ramph. I love Ramph but we don't need two.
i dont want it to be useless and not able to attack and if they did go second ramph route then atleast do something cool with this dino like give it the ability hop on top of dinos heads and heal them by eating the bugs around them while also getting food sorta like ramph in a way but also make it able to heal any dino and also able to chill on top of peoples heads and be able to sit and call and then also give it the ability to mimic certain dinos like give it a second dino wheel that can be accessed through the regular one and it works like if you have heard the dino nearby once you can add it to you set of calls but you can only have 4 and if they add environment sounds like a twig snapping or wind blowing then it could add that instead with a mix of dinos either this or it has a ability's like the heal buff calls where you can cycle through already put in dinos but your only able to choose one that has 4 different calls on it. one for all in game dinos. in certain trees there should be bugs the microraptor would have to rip out to eat and if they were to do damage make it so there was a rare bug that can only be found in trees that could buff a microraptors ability's also it could have the ability to group with herbs or carnivores
For me its questing overhaul better/new ai creatures and climbing/microraptor I been wanting microraptor ever since I knew about it coming to pot which was a year ago now
If they don't release both micro and Mira together it's ok but if I had to choose which one will come first, I think it would be Miragaia because think about it, it is another dinosaur that shouldn't be hard to make just like microraptor would probably be a pain in the ass to make....
1. Critters in trees/flying critters 2. Larger tree branches, perches, nests at the tops of certain trees 3. Air currents and things like that. If certain areas it was harder to fly like hot springs and areas that are supposed to be hot and humid take a little more stamina than other areas. Air currents are parts of the sky that boost speed if you ride it properly.
I hope that micro wont be the only one who gets climbing Like climbing rocks or moutains, many creatures hold onto walls like macaws to feed on clay or just to "hang" out (hehe) i could imagine baby megs climbing cause young komodo dragons do climb trees or give deinon a climb to make it unique
I'm really hoping that they don't have the current in game nests as the way hatchlings are nested in. Because I can see that being so easily abused as people will just camp the nesting locations and kill the young. I hope we'll be able to make our own nests and place them where we want.
I’m excited for all of these. More game modes, and a quest overhaul will definitely make this game more appealing to more people and we’ll get more people playing this game! That means more friends for me to make!!!
We actually don’t know for sure if micro will purely be a glider! Most likely, but when asked if it’ll be able to fly or just glide, the devs have simply said “we’ll have to wait and see” for micros release. It is also listed under flyers in the kickstarter list of dinos, and microraptor IRL was probably able to fly at least a little.
Nesting and growing hatchlings would be really easy and boring cuz everbody camps impact crater but would be fun if people tried to hunt your hatchlings and you defend them
Honestly once they add tree climbing I'm excited to see what modders come up with. Perhaps they'll mod in a herrerasaurus that can tree climb and leap between just like in the isle? (That playstyle and idea is so cool and well executed and I want something like that badly for path of titans)
I think there could be quests where you need to find for exemple a blue paleosaniwa or another color of another critter, with some really rare variants that could give you something like a trophy
Outside of roleplaying i don't see any point in nesting, hell beasts of bermuda may not be nearly as popular as path of titans but atleast in it you have a reason to nest
How about baby to juvenile megalanias because modern day Komodo dragons their young can climb trees so why not for the megalania the same for the deinonychus in fact baby deinonychus are capable of flight after hatching but they become flightless when they reach adult Hood
Hard to say which is more exciting between the AI update and the quest update, but both of them can have a MASSIVE effect on the game and make it so much more fun to play. Dynamic AI i can at least get a better idea of what to expect where with the quest system everything is purely theoretical and we know next to nothing about how it'll work. It'll be awesome just seeing living things besides players out and about, and going to less popular areas won't be as boring.
i saw the dynamosuchus and i thought it was gonna be playable and got excited because i love terrestrial pseudosuchians but when i learned its ai i did get a bit sad lol still amazing news
I just wish for the nesting mainly and AI, then I can hunt anywhere even on low pop servers that I like beside the main ones like PTR and such and I can nest anywhere on any type of server
I have a feeling nesting is going to be a long way off and the nests added in were more of a placation. I'm excited for it but I don't see them being able to do better than what the community servers already do. Super excited for the tree climbing and quest overhaul though!
they should add random secrets around the map like hats for dinos where they can bit and not drop it i would totally play a top hatted micraptor when he comes out with a bowtie mind you
I'm a bit concerned that microraptor will be unable to do damage. Ramph is unable to do damage, and it's restricted to being kind of a half hearted buffing creature. Sure it has that debuff, but on its own the debuff is straight up useless, especially considering that it doesn't linger on a target for any amount of time regardless of the fact that it spreads to unpacked creatures within a proximity.
The only thing I wish with nesting was: A) being able to choose where to nest And B) having randomized skins as the dino gets older (kinda like the old isle where you could get an albino skin but it’s extremely rare)
Everyone missed the most important thing in quest overhauls !! OPEN ENDED GROWTH / LEVELing sytem thats craaaayz !!!! I hope the model of the creatures grows and/or changes slightly
I would have some questions about this game, if anyone is kind enough to answer them ^^ I've watched some videos about it in the past few days, and I like what I see, but here are my questions: - What happens when your dino die? Like, do you start again from zero? Do you keep your progression and just respawn somewhere else? etc - What happens to your character when you disconnect? - Is it fully PvP? Or is there some PvE, or evena fully PvE mode? - Do you have a wide range of species? And do you have all species unlocked from the beginning or do you need to play again and again in order to unlock them bit by bit? - How easy it is to understand how to play the game, how to grow your character, how to perk? etc - And finally, would you have another game like this to recommand over this one? (Like The Isle for exemple, I would have the same questions basically). I would really appreciate if someone answer me ^^
1. you go to a menu and are given the option to join the game again, in the same server you just died in. you will lose a couple minutes of growth, you will loose some points (the points you use to buy skins and abilities and such) you respawn somewhere else, usually far from where you died there are a few milestones in your journey to becoming an adult that you cannot regress past once you get past them 2. when you disconnect your current dinosaur will stay on the map for 60 seconds (iirc) during this time it is vulnerable to anything you would be vulnerable to if you were there playing (ie, players killing you, etc) there however is a safelog feature, ‘pause’ the game, wait 60 seconds, and then logout when the timer has completed to take your dino out of play instantly i believe this is to prevent people from playing tough and biting off more than they can chew and then thinking they can close the game to save themselves from the consequences 3. on Official Public servers, it is up to the players.they may attack you, they may befriend you, they may avoid you. nothing is against the rules, but if you play on official servers, definitely expect to get your ass kicked for no reason every once and awhile there is a separate section for player made servers, and while still public, these servers often have rules. peaceful PvE servers, hardcore PvP servers with instagrowth, realistic roleplaying servers with rules about how a player can act, etc these servers also often have mods, adding new playable creatures, skins, and maps 4. i’m sure you can find a list of all of the playable animals somewhere (try looking it up here! there is an official POT youtube channel), i’m not sure i can list all of them here, but there is a wide variety of dinos to play of all shapes and sizes. if i’m not mistaken, there are 34 different playable species right now! and more to come, as highlighted in this video. since i’ve started playing i’ve seen about 5 of these guys added when you buy the game you have access to all playable creatures, and do not need to unlock them 5. every time you start a new baby dinosaur, the game shows you all of the basic concepts of how to move and control your dinosaur, how to complete quests, how to navigate the menus, how to use and equip abilities, and how to manage your statuses (hunger, thirst, etc) 6. I am not a very picky or high end individual, i’m not sure i have very refined tastes or meaningful inputs when it comes to what games are better or worse but path of titans is my favorite dinosaur game, and i’ve recommended it to many friends who have been happy with getting it, if that’s any reference to go off of
I am not very excited for microraptor, though i am almost certain they’ll just upsize it, in which case they should have just called it changyuraptor. I am looking forward to climbing being opened up for mod creatures due to it though
I really like the idea of the free Roaming AI bc it will make boring gameplay in places you like actually good Bc i already found places on the map i like but barely any people are there. Also i hipe they make dynamosuchus and the other ai playable since thier size is balanceable and they could take realistic advantage of the small caves all around the map
They should remove Impact Crater so people actually visit other biomes. Also Microraptor and Rampyrhyncus should also spawn as AI (like they should’ve been)
If they removed impact crater, people will just make another area the hotspot, like GPR or GV. Impact crater isn’t the problem, there will always be a hotspot
First instead of removing impact crater make it a thing where people are forced to move out of areas like if people sit in a area for to long certain storms will appear or the waters inside impact crater will dry up and make it so thats unchangable as well i disagree with microraptor and ramphy as ai just because they are small doesnt mean they need to be ai otherwise things like laten and deinonycus would also be ai those two also offer two different playstyles ramph being a person who just likes chilling and microraptor being either a scout or something thats used as another healer or smt
@@amaterasu1145 that doesn’t do anything really, people regularly sit in impact crater with the water at 0% drinkability. I regularly visit IC as rhamph to steal trophies and the water there is completely untouchable, the second it starts to restore, someone immediately drinks it away. People also just run out of IC, grab a drink at WP or GP, then come right back. Hot spots are just a part of these kinds of games, just the way it is. Making storms and other silly mechanics spawn on top of players does nothing either and is just such an artifiicl way of forcing them to move, even if it did prompt movement, it would still only be between GP and IC. Even if they made it so all the local edible plants die with too much prolonged player activity, herbis will just go to GP or WC to grab food and come back, and carnis of course will do what they already do, so resources like food and water are of no consequence for crater.
Which features are in your Top 5 list?
Climbing (sure)
Knockback animations
Nesting...
definitely new mircoraptor gameplay and nesting, since nesting kind of seems like a fundamental thing that survival realism games should have.
Climbing can't only be giving to one creature. It would make it unmatched. I bet they give megalania climbing as well or maybe a small raptor. Something has to be able to compete or be able to attack it in the trees.
Nesting
I need tree climbing. It feels so weird to be a flier and NOT be able to land on the trees out of danger. Especially the Rhamp
I know this feature isn’t being talked about yet but I feel like a change to weather systems could be cool, like actual storms that have a effect on flyers and such, like thermals or maybe even currents in the oceans that aquatics could use to traverse faster! i heard it was in plan for the last year, they anounced it when released gondwa, but it feels like everybody just forgot it...
I think in every beginning server , Burned Forest should start as a Forest, then a random eruption or lightning strike should cause it to catch fire and become its burned version.
Something that always bothered me was the raining in the cave
YES!!!
Pot should add a dragging feature where you can drag the corpse of a dead dino
This sounds cool another thing could be just eating whole small dinos while like what we can do with the critters
PoT NEEDS to add (and some suggestions):
- Sense of Smell
- Body Dragging
- Unique Species Scent System and Scent Tracking
- Baby Carrying, all species, without losing stamina for your own/same species hatchlings/juvis
- Dangerous Weather and Nature Disasters
- Water Currents
- Better Marine Environment and Life
- Infections and Diseases, especially in hotspots
- Deep Wounds and Gashs, which could become infected
- Inheritable Traits
- Unique Skins resulting from nesting
Might be farfetched, but I'd love for free-roaming AI to mainly spawn in POIs with lower player populations just as an incentive for people to travel there for quests or food. Just anything that would give us a reason to spread out across the map more.
i really hope its this, and have it more dynamic too, if people move away, eventually lower the ai population in the newer populated areas etc
That is a great idea! I really hope they do it this way.
I mentioned this in another comment. But on the off chance it can get some notice, for the sake of spreading players out more; ~Environmental Phenomenons~
Burned Forest having actual fires.

But yeah. Here's hoping the devs catch wind of ideas like these! I like officials, but it definitely used to be more crowded in other parts of the map, 2 years ago.
I would literally kill for this. The hot spotting in this game is the sole reason I don’t play anymore.
Excited for tree climbing but a little worried about the fact that most trees actual hitboxes do not line up with the visuals of the upper halves of the trees/don't exist at all
thats a good point actually, especially some of the smaller trees, i think maybe micro will come after the foliage reworks?
Probably why they are making new foliage and stuff.
Yes, I'm wondering if it lines up with foliage rework too. Could be two birds with one stone.

sorta like ramph in a way but also make it able to heal any dino and also able to chill on top of peoples heads and be able to sit and call
and then also give it the ability to mimic certain dinos like give it a second dino wheel that can be accessed through the regular one and it works like if you have heard the dino nearby once you can add it to you set of calls but you can only have 4
and if they add environment sounds like a twig snapping or wind blowing then it could add that instead with a mix of dinos

Sure it has that debuff, but on its own the debuff is straight up useless, especially considering that it doesn't linger on a target for any amount of time regardless of the fact that it spreads to unpacked creatures within a proximity.
No one talks about this but I’d love to see them implement waves alongside the oceans. Just small ones or medium sized ones
It be cool if they bring overraptor for the eggs
If your talking bout Oviraptor stealing eggs, it didn’t really do that
I believe that the quest overhaul is going to include breeding
It be cool if Microraptor could mimic dinosaur calls be funny to watch a bby dino or creature panic
I already got jagged pack
The only thing I wish with nesting was:
A) being able to choose where to nest
And
B) having randomized skins as the dino gets older (kinda like the old isle where you could get an albino skin but it’s extremely rare)
Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought there was a paper saying microraptor and archeopteryx were capable of powered flight
Everyone missed the most important thing in quest overhauls !! OPEN ENDED GROWTH / LEVELing sytem thats craaaayz !!!! I hope the model of the creatures grows and/or changes slightly
i really hope that gamemodes will also have ranked mode (i like to grind and lose my mind)
The only things I am looking forward to the most are the new questing system and nesting.
I wonder how angry everyone would be if micro’s glide was as bad as ramph’s
id throw rocks at Alderons windows
@@VelocciYT I’d join you and pay for the flight to Australia haha
I hope they add some sort of climbing to meg
also, Aqua ai would be nice, it just looks stupid when a big bad shark is just a pickable by a baby dino
Hopefully I can actually attack low hp dinos like the compy
More excited for tylo and TDM than anything else tbh
Climb = cool
I would have some questions about this game, if anyone is kind enough to answer them ^^ I've watched some videos about it in the past few days, and I like what I see, but here are my questions:
- What happens when your dino die? Like, do you start again from zero? Do you keep your progression and just respawn somewhere else? etc
- What happens to your character when you disconnect?
- Is it fully PvP? Or is there some PvE, or evena fully PvE mode?
- Do you have a wide range of species? And do you have all species unlocked from the beginning or do you need to play again and again in order to unlock them bit by bit?
- How easy it is to understand how to play the game, how to grow your character, how to perk? etc
- And finally, would you have another game like this to recommand over this one? (Like The Isle for exemple, I would have the same questions basically).
I would really appreciate if someone answer me ^^
1. you go to a menu and are given the option to join the game again, in the same server you just died in. you will lose a couple minutes of growth, you will loose some points (the points you use to buy skins and abilities and such)
you respawn somewhere else, usually far from where you died
there are a few milestones in your journey to becoming an adult that you cannot regress past once you get past them
2. when you disconnect your current dinosaur will stay on the map for 60 seconds (iirc) during this time it is vulnerable to anything you would be vulnerable to if you were there playing (ie, players killing you, etc)
there however is a safelog feature, ‘pause’ the game, wait 60 seconds, and then logout when the timer has completed to take your dino out of play instantly
i believe this is to prevent people from playing tough and biting off more than they can chew and then thinking they can close the game to save themselves from the consequences
3. on Official Public servers, it is up to the players.they may attack you, they may befriend you, they may avoid you.
nothing is against the rules, but if you play on official servers, definitely expect to get your ass kicked for no reason every once and awhile
there is a separate section for player made servers, and while still public, these servers often have rules. peaceful PvE servers, hardcore PvP servers with instagrowth, realistic roleplaying servers with rules about how a player can act, etc
these servers also often have mods, adding new playable creatures, skins, and maps
4. i’m sure you can find a list of all of the playable animals somewhere (try looking it up here! there is an official POT youtube channel), i’m not sure i can list all of them here, but there is a wide variety of dinos to play of all shapes and sizes.
if i’m not mistaken, there are 34 different playable species right now! and more to come, as highlighted in this video. since i’ve started playing i’ve seen about 5 of these guys added
when you buy the game you have access to all playable creatures, and do not need to unlock them
5. every time you start a new baby dinosaur, the game shows you all of the basic concepts of how to move and control your dinosaur, how to complete quests, how to navigate the menus, how to use and equip abilities, and how to manage your statuses (hunger, thirst, etc)
6. I am not a very picky or high end individual, i’m not sure i have very refined tastes or meaningful inputs when it comes to what games are better or worse
but path of titans is my favorite dinosaur game, and i’ve recommended it to many friends who have been happy with getting it, if that’s any reference to go off of

Crater should flood when it rains that way people are forced out 😂
I am not very excited for microraptor, though i am almost certain they’ll just upsize it, in which case they should have just called it changyuraptor. I am looking forward to climbing being opened up for mod creatures due to it though
I really like the idea of the free Roaming AI bc it will make boring gameplay in places you like actually good
Bc i already found places on the map i like but barely any people are there.
Also i hipe they make dynamosuchus and the other ai playable since thier size is balanceable and they could take realistic advantage of the small caves all around the map
As long as stop signs are implemented now.
i love that AI systems in every other normal game is a revolutionary and controversial concept in these asset pack games.
First instead of removing impact crater make it a thing where people are forced to move out of areas like if people sit in a area for to long certain storms will appear or the waters inside impact crater will dry up
and make it so thats unchangable as well
i disagree with microraptor and ramphy as ai
just because they are small doesnt mean they need to be ai otherwise things like laten and deinonycus would also be ai
those two also offer two different playstyles
ramph being a person who just likes chilling
and microraptor being either a scout or something thats used as another healer or smt
Tree climbing sounds so fun. I hope other smaller Dinos are able to do this to be stealthy 👀
Dogma, great film.
could we get an Edmontosaurus reworked
my top 5? everything that will be released before i die lol

Nesting would really upgrade this game, if all these are implemented, nestings, ai and gamemodes, Path of Titans will rise to the top dino sim
I cant for the other game modes. Maybe survival will actually be fun
Any information on the giant snake or spider yet
