My wifey is berating me with emptying the garage ! I have 4 bikes in it ! She want it empty so she won't have to clean it out when and if I pass before her. I just can't bring myself to sell my totally restored 1967 Triumph Trophy Sports (650 cc with a single carb. ) !!!!! She and I have been on great rides ! She is like a part of me. I just can't let her go !!! :(
The carburetors aren't balanced properly . It should tick over on a slight choke setting from cold . In this instance it has to be revved in order not to cut out . Shame they didn't warm up the engine before riding off .
I agree totally with those words, that was rough as rats! Could tell by how he started it, held the clutch in and piss poor riding style. His bike has had bad treatment, wouldn't buy it would you?
FYI, that carb "tickler" is NOT a pump, merely a device that opens the fuel bowl to additional fuel. Point being, pumping the ticker is an unnecessary procedure that does nothing. Instead, just hold down the tickler steadily until you see fuel dripping from the float bowl. Oh, and that technique is clearly explained in the owner's manual!
It's just a little cold blooded, poorly tuned or corrosion in carbs (from water drizzling down cables.) An easy fix. You can tell by the way he has to flood the carbs so much with the ticklers.
It is all about rarity and demand. Your 2014 Bonneville will be worth $3,000 in another couple of years, whereas the T120R I sold 3 years ago at $14,000 has already increased in value!
They stop making the T120 in 1975. I know Triumph bought BSA, Norton and I believe Matchless. All production stopped soon after. It took many years of waiting for their return.
@@texcarguy The newer ones aren't the same. They don't sound the same, muffled, they don't look the same, chunky. Hell, they're not even British anymore! Made in Thailand. Only the classics are real Triumphs. Just remember to put an oil drip pan underneath it.😉
Piece of art.
Brings back memories. Had this same bike when I was 19.... Bought it for 600 bucks and rode it for many years.
Me too. Paid 400 Not in great shape Didn't care. Great fun.
Me too!

WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR A LEGEND TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE 1967.....
Sounds like it needs a damn good tuning to me. I had one of these for 25 years and it sounded sweeter than this
Its the video recorder has a cheap microphone.

Mine sounded loads better than this one. Probably needs new carbs
An electric starter on a T120?
I heard that too.lol...Must have been background noise
I bought my late 1968 Bonnie brand new and it didnt have an electric starter, No Bonnies did,
@@BriansGemini105MC We know.It just sounded like a starter noise.😉
Isn't it a bit expensive? I can get a 2014 Bonneville with 6000 miles for about 5K. Regards.

You can't compare the two
