I think Jihyo is most likely to release a solo next, but I’d love to see Jeongyeon, Momo, or Chaeyoung release something. Or all of them. Really hoping we’ll get to see some subunits. We could get a whole lot of Twice content without a lot of strain on the group, which is always a bonus, but it would also be nice to let members like Dahyun, Tzuyu and Momo shine a little bit more.

Firstly, I would like to say that if you are a once, and you followed them enough this year, you would know that they have always been hinting that their contract renewal has already been completed. Especially Jeongyeon said that their schedules are full this year and she might do a melody project next year if she has time. Other members have also said a lot of things in a similar vein. About the solos + sub units, I would prefer solos over sub units and also solos over acting unless they are confident enough to deliver competent main characters (because a lot of characters idols get to act as are pretty tame and not memorable and also acting industry is not that friendly towards idols). Personally I want to see Momo's solo as she is my bias. She has posted two dance videos on instagram and both of them are similar to boy group dances. So it raised my expectations a lot for her solo debut and the fact that she's getting even better at dancing as years pass on is insane. I'm really excited for all of their solos. Can't wait for their 11th mini album "Between 1&2".

Personally I want to see Jeongyeon have a solo the most/ or a duet !!! It makes me really frustrated that her voice suits a lot of their newer music so well yet she gets little lines. She slayed the two choruses in cry for me (my favorite twice song). I’d love for her to also be able to showcase more of her personality and musical style. But also I really feel similarly w chaeyoung and her being able to show more of her personality and style. Plus chaeng has written the most songs in twice and a lot of them were with Jeongyeon so I really think they could be an extremely powerful unit !!!
I’m sooooo happy they renewed holy crap I was so scared, I genuinely thought someone would leave. I’ve been a once for six years now and I’ve grown to love them dearly so it would’ve been awful. If the inevitable from most groups happened to them.
This was definitely surprising, since after some of the mental health breaks taken during their promotions, I expected atleast one person to leave the group. But as long as they're happy, with good physical and mental health, then I'm glad they're still a group

And Wonder Girls lasted 10 years in JYPE (with several line-up changes, but still), iirc GOT7 were ready to renew their contracts but JYPE didn't offer contract renewal to every members so GOT7 escaped (and for what it's worth, JYPE agreed to transfer the group's name and rights to GOT7 themselves, unlike other companies ready to go into years of legal battle just to prevent their former idols to profit of their hard work and brand identity). 2am and 2pm are still active since 2008. Really, JYPE failed only to keep Miss A going (they didn't even last 7 years despite their success).
personally, i think jihyo or sana would be the next to do solo projects, but as a twice ult, i'd ofc be happy with any member having their own solo album. i love thinking about what styles and concepts each member would do, and another thing i would love to see would be japanese line (i call them MiMoSa) debuting in their own unit and having some group b-sides with solo ones as well. maybe even a foreign line subunit, which i would love to happen too. nayeon said she'd like to do acting in the future, so i'm hoping we get actress nayeon eventually! as for youtube, i could see momo having a dance cover/choreo channel like lisa from blackpink, and dahyun have a piano cover channel as playing piano is one of her hobbies.
probably my all-time fav twice song is strawberry and chaeyoung wrote for it. i think she really deserves some light on her and i'd love to see her possibly getting involved with composition and writing! another thing that might be nice is to have some real focus on collaborations and with other women in the industry? a few people have picked up on ggs collaborating almost exclusively with male artists and i think a breath of fresh air could be brought about by a collaboration like dubchaeng x bibi

Because she can’t sing. I saw her Melody project for “Monsters” and I was unimpressed with her vocals. Dahyun is the member that I imagine on a variety show or having a radio show…or having her own NON-SINGING CZcams channel. Her personality fits that line of work, not releasing solo material. Leave that to Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung, and Sana.
1. You're comparing Twice with 2PM but you have to remember the fact that JYPE recently signed Twice with Republic Records, a US label, for their american/global promotions. This means that JYPE has used A LOT of financial investment and industry connections for Twice in order to expand it's global music outreach. A 3 year contract is not enough to pay back all of that, logically speaking. The contract is definitely 7 years or at least 5 years. 2. Their comeback would be a mix of "The Feels" and "Scientist". JYPE has already done the experiment and now would give a comeback that is more appealing to american/global taste while also retaining their unique sound that is liked in south korea. JYPE will strike a balance between the two for maximum music appeal for all audiences. 3. Now that JYPE has to manage 4 girl groups (ITZY, NiziU, NMIXX) and the upcoming, constantly growing beast that is Stray Kids, the label would definitely not promote Twice as much as previously. They will focus on growing their newer and younger groups to ensure that they can take over from Twice financially in the long run. So they'll definitely reduce Twice's workload and definitely give Twice one or two comebacks per year. 4. Personally, I hope that JYPE gives all members their individual music solos and do it in age order. They all deserve it and even if some members want to do something else that's not music, at least they've got their own music career for many years to come. Especially Jeongyeon. I'm truly praying that she's next after Nayeon.

About the Radio Show, for me Dahyun suits this better, it would be funny to watch she making fun with other idols who are her friends. JYPE also could make twice colaborate with some western artists, like BP did with Selena.

After watching Twice (Mina,Dahyun,Momo, Chaeyoung) covered Taemin's Move, I immediately thought that Momo will suit and kill that kind of music. As for Chaeyoung, well most of us know how versatile she is so I'm ready to be surprised by her debut!

First of all, I’m so excited that Twice renewed their contracts. I was 100% expecting them to disband because of how overworked they’ve been and JYPE not having the greatest retention rates with their idols. So, them remaining in KPop is great! And one thing that I think a lot of people are forgetting is that contract renewals aren’t just that. There’s also negotiations that go on. That’s why Wheein left RBW (although she’s still working as a part of Mamamoo for a while). Her and RBW weren’t able to workout an agreement between the two. So, I have a feeling that the members all said “We’ll renew our contracts if we’re given more freedom and a less packed schedule.” Again, the main reason why I thought that they’d split up was because at least Jeongyeon, Mina, and Chaeyoung were facing health issues from the intense comeback schedule. And that doesn’t even begin to talk about how Momo has been bullied all over the internet with little protection from JYPE. So yeah, I’m glad that Twice will continue going on as OT9 and that they’ll be able to relax now 💕
You expecting TWICE to disband shows that you don't really know TWICE that much and underestimate the bond these girls have, and you don't even really know what happened to Jeongyeon and Mina and why they take a Hiatus. Jeongyeon stems from her Injury and Mina was anxiety. And all of these was not because of intense comeback schedule, heck Mina Hiatus was from the duration of TWICELIGHTS concerts to I Can't Stop me.

personally i think we cant be too sure about the concept one we can see what jyp did with itzy - concept photos suggested royal concept and I think most of us expected the title track to have similar vibe. My kpop utt is Jeongyeon and id like her to have a mini album but i honestly dont know if is doable right now. I feel like shes well rested and better after the two hiatus, but i also feel like her role in twice is a much more supportive one than being the center of attention (even though shes always the center to me). I dont know if she would want to solo debut or just chill and live her life in a more private way while also participating in group activities. Either way, if she does eventually gets her solo, i bet it would be more r&b styled than kpop sounding, something mature that would suit her voice well.

This is such a relief honestly. I knew that if twice disbanded K-pop would never be the same for me. I don’t care whether you like them or not but they are holding up the industry and they are some of the most talented idols in the industry. Chaeyoung and Jihyo have composed for TWICE, Jihyo wrote and composed Cactus and Chaeyoung wrote and composed How U Doin'. We also know that Jeongyeon composes, however she has said before that it's not really TWICE's style (allthough the members have disagreed and said they want her to compose for them)
i think the feels is their new “concept”. they were sort of stuck from more and more to scientist with no solid concept, except from the feels, where it’s happy but mature. plus it was successful enough globally, and it’s a sound that koreans eat up so it makes sense.

About break, they all had their break during Nayeon's solo promotions. Only Nayeon hasn't had a break yet since their concert this year.

I think that contract renewals will be very common in K-Pop as there is a lot of money in K-Pop now then it was ever before.

I think it was pretty much official that they were all gonna get solos but i never thought about sub units, that'll be so cool and i can easily see two sub units a year of 4 people(so 8 of them) and 1 solo release. i think we've seen Twice always together in every comeback and even tho they're great performers as a whole group, i think it'll be refreshing having some of the members as sub units and giving them different concepts..that'll be do refreshing like Nayeon's solo! stream POP!

To be honest their contract renewal wasn’t really a surprise to me. I expected them to resign especially now since they’ve been growing so much outside of Korea and Japan. They have also started promoting more in the US this year so I really expected them to resign. I’m glad that they will continue as Twice. Cheers to more success in the future.❤️🍾

Firstly, I would like to say that if you are a once, and you followed them enough this year, you would know that they have always been hinting that their contract renewal has already been completed. Especially Jeongyeon said that their schedules are full this year and she might do a melody project next year if she has time. Other members have also said a lot of things in a similar vein.
About the solos + sub units, I would prefer solos over sub units and also solos over acting unless they are confident enough to deliver competent main characters (because a lot of characters idols get to act as are pretty tame and not memorable and also acting industry is not that friendly towards idols).
Personally I want to see Momo's solo as she is my bias. She has posted two dance videos on instagram and both of them are similar to boy group dances. So it raised my expectations a lot for her solo debut and the fact that she's getting even better at dancing as years pass on is insane. I'm really excited for all of their solos. Can't wait for their 11th mini album "Between 1&2".

Personally I want to see Jeongyeon have a solo the most/ or a duet !!! It makes me really frustrated that her voice suits a lot of their newer music so well yet she gets little lines. She slayed the two choruses in cry for me (my favorite twice song). I’d love for her to also be able to showcase more of her personality and musical style. But also I really feel similarly w chaeyoung and her being able to show more of her personality and style. Plus chaeng has written the most songs in twice and a lot of them were with Jeongyeon so I really think they could be an extremely powerful unit !!!
I’m sooooo happy they renewed holy crap I was so scared, I genuinely thought someone would leave. I’ve been a once for six years now and I’ve grown to love them dearly so it would’ve been awful. If the inevitable from most groups happened to them.
This was definitely surprising, since after some of the mental health breaks taken during their promotions, I expected atleast one person to leave the group.
But as long as they're happy, with good physical and mental health, then I'm glad they're still a group
My predictions:
- Maybe Jihyo will have a solo next, possibly a ballad song. Chaeyoung is also a great choice with the cool, edgy concept.
- Actress Jeongyeon is most likely.
- Variety shows for Dahyun and Sana or making a YT channel. Momo and Mina might have also.
- More modeling gigs for Tzuyu, Sana, and Mina.
- And of course, the sub-units are what I'm anticipating. Might be included in their schedule.

And Wonder Girls lasted 10 years in JYPE (with several line-up changes, but still), iirc GOT7 were ready to renew their contracts but JYPE didn't offer contract renewal to every members so GOT7 escaped (and for what it's worth, JYPE agreed to transfer the group's name and rights to GOT7 themselves, unlike other companies ready to go into years of legal battle just to prevent their former idols to profit of their hard work and brand identity). 2am and 2pm are still active since 2008.
Really, JYPE failed only to keep Miss A going (they didn't even last 7 years despite their success).
personally, i think jihyo or sana would be the next to do solo projects, but as a twice ult, i'd ofc be happy with any member having their own solo album. i love thinking about what styles and concepts each member would do, and another thing i would love to see would be japanese line (i call them MiMoSa) debuting in their own unit and having some group b-sides with solo ones as well. maybe even a foreign line subunit, which i would love to happen too. nayeon said she'd like to do acting in the future, so i'm hoping we get actress nayeon eventually! as for youtube, i could see momo having a dance cover/choreo channel like lisa from blackpink, and dahyun have a piano cover channel as playing piano is one of her hobbies.
probably my all-time fav twice song is strawberry and chaeyoung wrote for it. i think she really deserves some light on her and i'd love to see her possibly getting involved with composition and writing! another thing that might be nice is to have some real focus on collaborations and with other women in the industry? a few people have picked up on ggs collaborating almost exclusively with male artists and i think a breath of fresh air could be brought about by a collaboration like dubchaeng x bibi

1. You're comparing Twice with 2PM but you have to remember the fact that JYPE recently signed Twice with Republic Records, a US label, for their american/global promotions. This means that JYPE has used A LOT of financial investment and industry connections for Twice in order to expand it's global music outreach. A 3 year contract is not enough to pay back all of that, logically speaking. The contract is definitely 7 years or at least 5 years.
2. Their comeback would be a mix of "The Feels" and "Scientist". JYPE has already done the experiment and now would give a comeback that is more appealing to american/global taste while also retaining their unique sound that is liked in south korea. JYPE will strike a balance between the two for maximum music appeal for all audiences.
3. Now that JYPE has to manage 4 girl groups (ITZY, NiziU, NMIXX) and the upcoming, constantly growing beast that is Stray Kids, the label would definitely not promote Twice as much as previously. They will focus on growing their newer and younger groups to ensure that they can take over from Twice financially in the long run. So they'll definitely reduce Twice's workload and definitely give Twice one or two comebacks per year.
4. Personally, I hope that JYPE gives all members their individual music solos and do it in age order. They all deserve it and even if some members want to do something else that's not music, at least they've got their own music career for many years to come. Especially Jeongyeon. I'm truly praying that she's next after Nayeon.
God I just hope twice conserves their traditional sound and don’t start making flashy, vulgar and soulless American/Latin American pop music 😭

If JYPE continues to give them solo debuts, I'm most excited and curious about Momo and Chaeng! After watching Twice (Mina,Dahyun,Momo, Chaeyoung) covered Taemin's Move, I immediately thought that Momo will suit and kill that kind of music. As for Chaeyoung, well most of us know how versatile she is so I'm ready to be surprised by her debut!

First of all, I’m so excited that Twice renewed their contracts. I was 100% expecting them to disband because of how overworked they’ve been and JYPE not having the greatest retention rates with their idols. So, them remaining in KPop is great!
And one thing that I think a lot of people are forgetting is that contract renewals aren’t just that. There’s also negotiations that go on. That’s why Wheein left RBW (although she’s still working as a part of Mamamoo for a while). Her and RBW weren’t able to workout an agreement between the two. So, I have a feeling that the members all said “We’ll renew our contracts if we’re given more freedom and a less packed schedule.” Again, the main reason why I thought that they’d split up was because at least Jeongyeon, Mina, and Chaeyoung were facing health issues from the intense comeback schedule. And that doesn’t even begin to talk about how Momo has been bullied all over the internet with little protection from JYPE.
So yeah, I’m glad that Twice will continue going on as OT9 and that they’ll be able to relax now 💕

Jeongyeon stems from her Injury and Mina was anxiety. And all of these was not because of intense comeback schedule, heck Mina Hiatus was from the duration of TWICELIGHTS concerts to I Can't Stop me.

here's my prediction about each member( these are only predictions and my personal opinions and there's high chance they will never happen)
firstly, i hope every twice member can get the rest that they deserve after so many years of work. and i predict that some of the members won't come out with solo activities for a while in order to just have some time for themselves and stay away from work.
nayeon: she will probably continue to release solo music and i do see her music being popular. i hope she also gets to sing some osts to boost her popularity.
jihyo: she will release solo music and i see her having a lot of creative control when it comes to her image and the kind of music she releases.
jeongyeon: i hope she gets to have a well deserved break before maybe doing some solo activities. i hope that she releases solo music, but knowing jype she might release some osts here and there and then pursue acting. i also see her having a radio show in the future.
momo: she might open up her youtube channel and post dance covers like lisa. i fear she might be a bit to insecure about her singing to become a solo artist, but i do hope that i'm wrong.

My kpop utt is Jeongyeon and id like her to have a mini album but i honestly dont know if is doable right now. I feel like shes well rested and better after the two hiatus, but i also feel like her role in twice is a much more supportive one than being the center of attention (even though shes always the center to me). I dont know if she would want to solo debut or just chill and live her life in a more private way while also participating in group activities. Either way, if she does eventually gets her solo, i bet it would be more r&b styled than kpop sounding, something mature that would suit her voice well.
