Bleeding of the hydraulic system is not necessary: any air in the system will be gone if you run a full cycle, full stroke and fully down.
Oil mix in the air system can be caused by leaking seals in the cylinder, causing oil to get on the dry side of the pistons.
An easy way to check the cylinder seals is to disconnect the outside air hose from the quick coupling on top of the cylinder. Then run the cylinder full stroke: if oil is leaking from this fitting, then there is an inside oil leak.
Another cause of oil mix in the air system could be, if the jack has been operated or stored lying on the side.
