Neither do I. My history with them is dreadful. 1987 reported arm injury that is permanent. 1999 got a prognosis. Nearly lost my hand because I was not told of the long term consequences. NHS. 12 years between a diagnosis and a prognosis when I could have been given one on the spot. Incredible. Lots of complications with insurance claim because med center put the medical report in with some one elses medical records at an address similar to one I had years previously. The report was made in 1994. I did not see it, or know who had it until 1998 after being accused of trying to make a fraudulent injury claim. Nice going doctors.

Ok so it is staged but my own GP's should watch this because it is how you behave.
16 year old visits GP with groin injury. Happened at work after being ordered to move heavy furniture on his own. GP's response "will give you three days off and then you get back to work". Required attitude is 'polite and deferential'. If an injury is reported you examinine it and give advice in accordance with the medical journal, not look at people as if they are rubbisch and treat them like rubbish. Medical journal advice was 3 weeks of that leg. I had years of pain with that and found out how to put it right by accident in a gym. Also you are required to keep medical records, as well as examine some one who reports and injury. No sign of it in my medical records. I can see why he didn't want to hand them over.

This is a primary care GP practice. They do routine consultations and don't have beds/facilities to do observations over extended periods. Their whole model is to see you, diagnose, and either prescribe or refer onwards. This gentleman required some further investigation to discern why the BP was raised, which would determine if medication would actually be a help (and specifically which one) or if another intervention was needed.
