Enjoy my trip through heavy every day Manila traffic to Ninoy Aquino Airport all the way to Caticlan the gateway to the white sand beaches of Boracay,
Philippines.

Great vdo. Dirty window almost hard to see the view. I never seen AirPhil Express use small plane such as Q300 to Boracay. I flew Philippine Airlines B737-300 to Boracay for one week and back to MNL about 21 yrs ago.

The Dash 8-300 is a dying breed in the Caribbean :( a turboprop that has serve us well for many years
We also used Caticlan airport when we went to Boracay this year. We were also on Philippine Airlines,but we rode instead an A320

yeah thats what we used to go with back when boracay was nice and not overcroweded
they currently now accept the A320 Family and PALs New Q400Ng can Land at Caticlan
GMD Scary A320s came after they built the runway extension
I want to be on a turbo prop but we go long distances like manila - davao and manila - hong kong and we are planing to go further (wanna ride an a340 or 777 so bad) but never have i been on an bombardier (the recent planes ive been on is a320 and 330)

I am a Filipino-American living in NJ, USA. I have never visited Boracay. I hope on my next trip back home, I will finally get an opportunity to visit Boracay. But, those small charter planes really scared me lol. Well at least it's an hour flight which I believe I can handle. Thanks for sharing this high quality hd video!! And also at outside people thought the smooth landing is so soft but inside it is noisy

We landed at laguindingan airport
Know its 2017 and Caticlan Airport could now operate Airbus A320s with its runway lengthen to accomodate them !

@pbateson-there is no such B737-300 flight to MNL-MPH-MNL, I am one of the Ground Crew of PAL Caticlan Airport and we just have short runway in caticlan..maybe u arrived in Kalibo Airport. :)
How about on pal Q400 a great ride on altitude of 35,000 feet from batanes to clark
I've seen in a few vids, and post online, how if you fly Cebu Pacific, you nearly always end up landing at Kalibo instead of Caticlan, about 2 hours further away.....so i'm gonna pay a few more buck with Air Philippines just to be sure

Great time. The last time I visited here two years ago was during a typhoon so it's nice to be able to play out in the water every day. Which resort did you stay at?

Hey, awesome video. I was also there 2 years ago during a typhoon august 17 to 21 and stayed at boracay regency. I was also in that same q300. It was scary because of the turbulence. God I so wanna go back.

PAL's service is really the best even for short flights, may I ask sir how much did it cost you Manila-Caticlan-Manila?
John Sarmiento Believe it was right around 300 usd! I booked before flying over on Expedia & could've gotten a little bit of a cheaper price on PAL's site, but none of my cards would allow me to make a purchase on it due to security.
Thanks, It was a little expensive dude but the good thing is, from Caticlan Airport it's just a stones throw away to the seaport, very convenient for travellers. Thanks a lot to you :)

Crime on Boracay Beaches
I recently had my bag with belongings, cash and cards stolen from a chair at the Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Spa run by Henann Group of Resorts.
As a guest staying in the hotel it was disappointing to learn they refused to pay any form of compensation for a loss which occurred in their own marked out area on the beach, right under the watch of their security guards.
The resort manager Dindo Salazar said they take no responsibility and that they are forced to hire 3rd party security guards by the government. He indicated that upon speaking to the security firm that the 2 guards on duty that morning were to be relieved of their duties.
The police at the station where the crime was reported told me the resort should take responsibility for thefts at their property. Seems like common sense, socially responsible, and good customer service to do so. This especially when a
paying guest has been stolen from, inconvenienced and stressed from a theft off a resort chair.
The police said there was a report that the thief took my bag and slid it up the front of their shirt, then took off down the road. Apparently this all happened on a very quiet beach at 7am without the security or other resort staff noticing.
I was told by Dindo that my request for compensation could only be authorised by the owners of the resort, and after he brought up my case with both Karl Chusuey and Henry Chusuey (owners of Boracay Regency Beach Resort and Spa and Henann Resorts) that they refused to pay.
Take this as a warning about the safety of Boracay, and the perceived safety of leaving your belongings within the secure area of resorts.
