Rookie WR STEALS The Spotlight (Preseason Year 4) - Madden 24 Saints Franchise - Ep.59

- It's Year 3 of the Madden 24 Saints Franchise. We've accepted the rebuilding role and have started overhauling the existing roster. We're expecting the rookie class to play many roles this season, and even have new Quarterbacks. I'm hoping this year we can lay a new foundation and identity to take into the future.
My Franchise on Madden 24 begins with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints offer a unique challenge compared to any other team looking at their future cap space problems and aging roster. The Saints are not a bad team in 2023 at all. But their future could not be anymore problematic as cap restraints will cause them to move on from players, including some of their aging veterans they still rely on.
I aim for a more sim feel to my Franchises. I play on All Madden sliders that promote a more realistic play style. I have developed my own XP sliders to create a more authentic feel to Franchise in terms of developing young players and replacing regressing veterans.
This will be my biggest Madden 24 series, and I'm excited to get the rebuild underway. - Hry
Did Pearman really get zero catches? Caine always forgets about guys with potential when he gets new toys.
Tbh I thought this would be a thing where his role was already solidified and he didn't need to play, but it's not like Wilson or Olave didn't play..
as much as i hate to say it, what is his role? wilson and olave are two complete, number 1 receivers who can run any route in the tree, and both can line up outside and in the slot. that 3rd receiver role is much less important now, so honestly a revolving door of perry-pearman-priestley until one of them stands out doesn’t seem crazy to start the year
It’s pre season. I always try to use my new players a lot too
@@antdogboyness_66yeah the Wilson signing is rlly gonna screw over Pearman. Honestly don’t mind it it’s Wilson
That's the point of preseason. He already knows what he is getting from Pearman
Jaun Beard with like zero stats. Glad to see some things never change
I was literally scrolling through the comments looking for somebody to mention this. His fanbois have a habit of disappearing when he does nothing in a game yet again.
Need to put Juan Beard on a milk carton.
I liked Mayweather's throws better, but I get it's hard to deny the rook's potential.
Mayweather is really similar to Jacoby Brissett. Hes always a good option and dependably solid. But its clear hes never gonna be great. Westbrook has the potential to be great.
@@CadChamberlain it's madden so you never know he could be great
I think it’s time to trade AT Perry. Priestley looks so good already. Maybe you get get a mid round pick at the deadline for Perry, especially if his needs line up with a team that wants him.
Secondary players actually playing up to their stats and attributes
Wait, Mac Jones backing up Trevor Lawrence....what a coincidence
Cane's ultimate nightmare: facing a team with Mike Williams and Amari Cooper as their starting WRs.
Unjust to not let mayweather have an opportunity to start when he has earned it. Perhaps you should trade him for a qb needy team for a late pick.
So pumped for Season 4 Cane! I know you've had some issues with sliders but your team building and storytelling makes it all fun to watch regardless
I do think this is a bit of a slap in the face of Mayweather, will he work as hard this year after giving his all at the end of last year? I'm not sure.
I love that the top two RBs are wearing numbers 25 & 26, throwback to the Bush/McAllister days
David Mayweather got screwed. So unfortunate for the future HOF.
Been impatiently waiting for this
Same, but cane always gives the people what they want
I’d have Olave and Wilson as WR1 and WR2. Jacoby Pearman would be my WR3 while mixing in Antwan Priestley. I’d have Pearman have a few designated plays per game (a couple wr screens and an isolated deep ball) and he’d handle all returns on special teams. Priestley just seems to make the tough catches. This offense should be unstoppable if schemed correctly.
I reckon you have to give Mayweather a few games at the start of the season before considering moving to the rookie.
I think part of the issue with the defence (sliders mostly but you’re working on getting that right) is that when you call zone, it’s straight drop zone unless the ‘match’ setting is turned on in coach adjustments. You might not always want to play match, but it does help defenders not just sit in one spot and let players run past them when they seemingly should react to the route coming their way.
(Edit: that being said, coverage looked a lot better in this preseason albeit with backups, bring on S4!)
I'll take a look. Thanks
Man, I just want Mayweather.
For curl routes, you have to low-ball it and pass lead down so they attack the ball. Otherwise they stand still.
He uses the old button press passing mode with no stick controls. I don't think that's possible with them.
@@niththevaliant You can definitely do it with his settings. Its not a new gen thing.
Unless its the super old school setting which i dont think is available anymore. He could still and does with crossing routes. As soon as you throw the ball just push your left stick where you want lead the ball to @niththevaliant
@TheH3LLP3R yeah, I'm pretty confident I was off base.
If a team ran a fake field goal against me in pre season, we're clearing the sidelines and brawling at midfield
Westbrook has been working with Priestley in training camp clearly. The Rookie QB/WR connection
Jabrill Peppers can play Big Nickel in certain packages, linebacker on pure passing downs, a third safety in certain schemes. He's your ace in the hole Cane!
Man the difference in 62% completetion and 51% completion should of been factored in a bit more.
Go Mayweather! Westbrook can kick rocks! Lol😂
super pumped!! brighter days ahead!
In the draft report I gave on Stoutmire back during the edited offseason 1 video, you'll see me point out that he just doesn't have the COD ability to ever play slot. He's a boundary guy only.
Been waiting on thisssss
Gameplay look improved! I think you should force trade Mac Jones to a team that is weak at QB like Denver as well as trade AT Perry or release him. Just have a Motley Crue of receivers for the slot moving your #1 and #2 around and mix in Priestly and Pearman and maybe the 99 speed back
Idk what that 99spd rookie number 42's name is he could be an austin ekeler type back with better speed. He could be explosive if you use him and if not let him return next the Pearman.
Cane has been my favorite franchise guy ever since the gopher dynasty. basically my favorite CZcamsr 🙏🏾🙏🏾wish he could make content everyday.
Watching the whole live stream vid I was a Priestley fan and hoping you’d take him. What a preseason for the guy
Can we switch GW from 7 to 5? He wore 5 in college and he's switching from 17 to 5 IRL with the Jets for next season
At the end I show why I haven't done that
Lol just got to it gotta love the storyline! Maybe if AT Perry leaves in the offseason GW can make the switch back to 17
For Jabrill peppers play time, I think you should put him as the slot guy but, I'm sure you want to use him as he is used in real life and the easiest way to do that while him not starting is using formation subs. I think you should throw him into a few formations at slot, linebacker, and obviously safety. He isn't starting still but he's still getting playing time.
In the 3rd offseason of the Titans series Cane signed a 6'9" 376 pound OT named Dashawn Holliday. It...did not go well. He was an absolute sieve in pass pro and was released after the season. The Faalele trade reminds me so much of that it's scary.
I see Cane at the trade deadline trading A.T. Perry, Jacoby Pearman, and about 2 players on defense. He may just be able to get to the playoffs this year with this team. In year 5, I can see a deep run in the playoffs.
The new rookie QBs look like they need some swag
Think peppers should be used as a nickel/dime lb purely on 3rd down, maybe in relief of Zaven Collins or JOK
Can't wait for the regular season to start!
I think mayweather played better and doesnt deserve to be shafted the way he is. I love watching canes series but he always does this.
Would’ve liked to see mayweather start the first 4 games at least. I think Westbrook could potentially be really good I hope he breaks out. Good luck in the regular season cane 👍🏾
You can package jabrill into some dime and nickel sets especially to blitz or on run downs
That Steelers game was the most realistic depiction of their real life play I thought I was watching season highlights
Cane i love the fact that westbrook is becoming Mac Jones and Mayweather zappe gonna be really interesting if westbrook has a bad couple of games and us in the comment section are gonna chant for Money Mayweather 😂
Edit: Priestley, from what he showed in preseason, could potentially have a similar career path as Devante Adams late round WR that becomes an unstoppable #1
Forget Mayweather, the move that grinds my gears is kicking one of my faves Waters to the PS because for some reason Cane felt he just *had* to sign Zamir White, who's no better.
At least he finally gave up the Brian Johnson Experiment that never even got off the ground so there's that.
He did my boy Waters dirty.
Priestly will have a Puka Nacua this season. Time for a change of scenery for Perry
Is jabrill peppers playing the subLB role in order to get fenderson some more playing time? Or even start? I think fenderson has a real chance for DPOY
Remember Cane, you can always move Peppers to RB if you don't know what to do 😂
Honestly the main issue with the sliders is how quickly the user defense reacts. They are slow to get good pursuit angles and reaxt to the ball in the air. Not sure what slider adjustments would play a role in that.
He needs to raise reaction.
Penalties and PDRT all play a role. We have a base we like, and will tweak from there for the new version.
@@MrHurriicane raise reaction, lower dpi
@@MrHurriicaneCould the tackle slider effect pursuit?
Love to see Mike Williams make an appearance. David Mayweather has until the deadline (unless he struggles ofc) that way you have enough time to develop Westbrook. If he throws for 2500yds and 15+ tds I’m sure he’ll win Roy
Hey I have a question do u run gameplay sliders if so can u send a link to a video or make one on them whould be much appreciated
Man Juan Parker... woof what a game.
The rayburn cut is nasty work ngl
I would honestly make a rule where I wouldn’t trade anyone less than a 75 or 77. Feels too easy to trade them for late round picks every year. There are so many guys in the overall tier and below that it doesn’t make a ton of sense for the teams receiving them
I would like to see Peppers play in place of James Bolden on 3rd downs in that sub LB role..
I do think the secondary should be better this year, but Stoutmire effectively played himself out of a spot on the field with that preseason. I'm not sure he can hang, even in the slot.
With the QBs looking even, Westbrook needs to be the one playing. A lot of his throws, for better or worse, looked similar to Mayweather's high and low points. He's the first round draft pick and his athleticism gives him the edge. If he balls out, it's a success. If not, hopefully Mayweather produces well.
RB rotation is deep, nice to see. WRs look good too, but the battle for WR3 and down is open. Pearman is obviously a weapon so there was no need to see much of him this preseason; he'll get his touches and be the primary return man.
I think the bigger issue for the team is the front seven needs to be better. Someone NEEDS to break out, whether it's a LB or another DL that can produce quality plays for this team. James Houston will have his moments, Juan Beard probably is DROY last year if he plays earlier - he needs to match or produce more sacks to go with his start for his pick to be a success - but this team needs an answer at DT or Mike LB. Either one of those will start to change this defense's ability to get pressure for the better. Even Seattle's LOB couldn't beat a good NFL offense if this front seven can't win their matchups up front.
Something is seriously wrong if we're not pushing at or better than .500 this season.
Antwan Priestley is Cane version of Puka
Puka was taken just 6 picks before Priestley too (final pick of 5th VS 5th pick of 6th). Eerie...
Blake Westbrook drip szn
12:30 woah what a throw. David may weather is the guy. Drafting a qb was a waste or a pick.
The speed threshold change looks like it’s making the DB play much more competitive
David Mayweather will only ever be A guy. Older with poor development and no above average skills. He’s Jimmy G/Gardner Minshew.
@@eddiemachete6680 k
@@eddiemachete6680somehow said Jacoby Brisset and that’s honestly the perfect description of him. He’s a bridge QB. Not a bad player but never gonna develop into the QB a real contender needs
Super excited for this season.
I hope Stoudemire can hold up in coverage but i do think trading lattimore was the move regardless.
Excited to see Westbrook, dude has a lively arm and he is in a great spot with the weapons to improve, i think patience should be shown and Mayweather may have been fun, but he's a spot starter and was just the better option then darnold and lance last year which isn't saying a lot.
WR room is looking solid, i think AT perry should be moved for priestly to get on the field more often.
Defense as a whole looks a lot more improved, just feel its missing something, like one more LB or edge to really define it, maybe JOK takes another step up and he can play that rangy mike role. Or beard surprises and gets the breakout.
Overall I'm excited for this season and i think we can make a push for the playoffs. Depth seems strong and a lot of new influx of talent. Also as a sidenote, you gotta find some type of scat back package for Skelton the rookie rb, i think if anything he can fill in the pearmen role if something happens
Tomlinson and adebo are crazy athletic what were u talking about signing a cb at the end of last episode saying u didn’t have good enough athletes lol
Would you say this is also a good sim v sim slider set? If not then what would be
What offensive and defensive playbooks do you use?
Watching the games, I believe that Roby and Miller share too much in common skillset wise for it to have made sense to trade for Roby.
Priestly is trying to take Pearman and AT Perry's jobs.
Mayweather still looking good. The season will tell when it comes to QB.
Defense sliders be much better too.
What sliders do you use ?
Are these sliders on all madden or all pro?
Are you going to manually trade Mac Jones or are you going to leave him in NE?
Madden Logic means you have to start Westbrook but honestly Mayweather deserves to start. Also I think we should trade Perry at this point we will be wasting Priestley and Pearman otherwise
The team looks really good overall I think the pass rush got better the run defense needs a little work, but cane you do have the best offense by far with all the additions, trade Perry see what value you can get out of him. I can’t wait for the season to get underway.
3-4 injuries a game (not always serious injuries) is what I could find online for the average in NFL games, it'd be more realistic that way.
One thing I noticed in all three games is that opposing offenses were far more successful running to the left (Beard's side) and up the middle than to the right. It was literally a night and day diffrence. Am I the only one who saw this?
after the panthers offseason i think i know what team cane is doing for 2025
AT Perry turns AT&T Perry come trade deadline ?
All the Mayweather fanbois need to stop crying and accept the new normal.
(It feels so good to be the one telling other people this for a change.)
Your series always predicts things. Keenan got traded and Williams got released
I think a good plan would be to start Priestly over Perry on the depth chart and if he shows he’s got it then trade Perry at the deadline for something to a receiver needy team
Cane sure did make it sound like that's what he wanted to do.
Need to put Faalele in for some 6 OL sets
My thoughts exactly
Play peppers at sub lb to play in nickel packages alongside jok and also start fosky over juan beard at least in base packages
Cane you just gotta play Blake all year. Need the xp
Hilarious here Madden predicted that Mac Jones would be the backup to TLaw.
How do you find sliders??
Cane even with the sliders the cpu playin calling is atrocious. I have messed around with both live playbooks on and off and for me with them on I’ve seen better play calls. With them off almost 95% of the time on 3rd downs in was 4verts. With it on I didn’t see that as much and more of the playbook was used. Just my 2 cents and maybe worth checking out.
Priestley at TE would look good. Could upgrade his blocking after.
does anyone know how to fix the CPU run/pass ratio? feels like they throw 70%+ a game
I wonder how Cane feels about the Vikings changes on offense so far.
Soil protection 🏞️
Idc what cane says.. he missed on that early pick for a Qb... From the footage u showed way more Westbrook glazes... And the few moments of Mayweather, Mayweather is the better qb. Quicker throw release, faster way more accurate... If you took both these QBs at the same rd u would start Mayweather... Keep Westbrook on the roster as a backup but cut your losses and trade him the off-season for draft compensation... Especially if this draft class is weak at QB... U keep making Mayweather prove u he the starter and he keeps delivering lol either start him or free him... And please trade mac Jones to a qb needy team before the start of the szn 🙏🏾💯✌🏾🔥
Where can I find your sliders you make with matt?
He shows them at 10:33 in the video!
Are you still gonna do a Mac Jones trade?
I know he won’t start but it’s so obvious that mayweather is the better qb
Jabril peppers gotta be a 2nd or 3rd string sub LB, makes too much sense especially with how you want better coverage from your backers
garret chris and twuan great trio
Roby and Miller are and always have been Cane's preferred kind of RB. Dion Price was an aberration. Even if he'd gotten one of the two speedy receiving backs in this draft he would've barely used him. Besides, both their carry ratings were a mere 75 while Skelton's is 74. And there's nothing wrong with having backs who can run through contact, I prefer that type as well.
I want to see faalele at TE. On the left with Penning and R.O.Y. and Gillium?
SAINTS will go marching in the run game.
Don’t forget to trade Mac Jones
Can we get a slider showcase video?
rip jerry rayburn
Gotta take ur time when passing don’t pick who ur gonna throw to presnap. Every pick u threw u had a guy either wide open or breaking wide open but u forced something into coverage. Hopefully this years team is better🤞🏽
Should trade AT Perry at this point
WR room is nuts fr
Put Peppers at RB Cane..... you know you want to....
Presley is going to be a beast
