David Bradley Manure Spreader Model 75

This is a old spreader i found for sale on the side of the road and was a heap of junk when i got it. I cleaned it up painted it and replaced the wood. First time its been run in many years. The wood should have been painted red but i like the look of the ceder wood!

I'm glad we found your video. We have the EXACT same spreader. It keeps breaking down and the gear chains refuse to stay in line - they keep popping out. We replaced some of the chains but they still do not want to work. Do you have any videos on how you fixed it? We are ready to pull out our hair!

Don't have anymore video's of it. What chain are you having issues with?

@@lockburner2000 Looking at your video and looking at it from the back, the left tire side (with the upside down v shape), the chain keeps falling off. We replaced the chain with different lengths, greased it, adjusted the tension rod and it still keeps slipping off.

to much slop not keeping chain lined up be a guess.

@@ammeg1860 I have a model 75 as well. I have the same problem. On this one and others I see, there are extended steel flat bars from the middle idler extending down past the drive cog. This seems to keep the chain on track as it engages and as it runs. Mine does not have this. Could be a newer model or added latter. I'm going to fabricate this for mine.

I have the same machine and lost the chain that drives the final paddles. Do you know what size chain it is. I can't locate a parts manual and have tried to guess on the size but without sucess. The chain size is apparently stamped on the links but having lost it I'm SOL.

Sold it a long time ago. No idea about the size. Might be able to go to some farm stores and they will let you try out different sizes.

Not sure where you would find any. Only option i think you have is to have a machine shop make them for you.
