Interesting layout and great scenery. I worked my way around the course and despite having some good stats, the putting and chipping really was bad today.

I think this year it is not about the number of courses you played, this year it is about what you made of the times you were able to go, even though there were lockdowns, quarantine and the likes. I for myself can say that I am happy with the golf in 2020. Dropped my handicap by 14 to 16.3 from 30.5 by following thw way of the playa. Stopped losing 4 balls per round. Broke 90, and then 85. Got lots of great feedback for the Hummingbirdie Polo. Am finally able to use the gun metal divot tool on a regular basis. Most importantly: Brought 2 of my sons, 8 and 10 to golf and they are enjoying it (even though they p*** each other off on the golf course 😜. As brothers should.)
I managed to play 6 courses this year. That’s 6 more than I thought I might at one point so very grateful. Bring on 2021 - the year of the Playa.
Covid shut us down for ages here in Australia, so I played zero courses, until last week when I joined a Golf Club for the 1st time in my life. I'm 46. Love your videos. Wadaplaya!
Just thought this would be a good place to write this. On the course last week. Me and another fella were having trouble putting, we swapped putters for the rest of the round. Both did way better. My putter was SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than his. But he said it didn't matter if he putted better with mine. We traded putters on the course :) Golf is so much fun when you dont take it so seriously.
At least 30 courses! TPC Scottsdale was my favorite. Shot a 89 from the tips and went +1 on the final four holes while getting a par on the infamous hole 16! Felt amazing!
First year golfer and I have played 25 courses this year. Of all the golf channels on YT, this one gives me a warm and fuzzy and keeps bringing me back. Took me a long time to break 100, then breaking 90 came faster. Now, instead of going lower, I just want to focus on eliminating the " blow up" holes of triple bogey or worse.

played 2 courses this year. The first being my home club. The second was a mini-golf course made within my apartment during lockdown using household items only. broom for putter, ball of socks for ball, hats for holes. Hazards were made from towels and other things. Even got my partner involved and we had a great time.
been playing golf since August... in Wellington, New Zealand.. the windiest city in the world! Favourite course is Karori, right at the base of the Makara Wind farm. You learn how to play a punch shot into the wind. Lots of different wildlife... native birds... good spot for planting feathers, growing birdies
Just started playing this year (7.5 months) and have played 8 different courses. 4 of them are 9 holes or par 3 courses while the others are 6400+ yard regulations. I plan on playing more courses but plan on finding some friends to play with. Sometimes as I go through a weird journey in my playing it can get awkward at times as a random joining other randoms or a group that is going to have stressed out players. I follow the way of the playa and want to just cheer you on and forget my bad shots immediately while hitting super stress free. Cheers playa!
I travel across the United States for work so I get to play all over. I played 4 different courses in Pennsylvania, 2 in West Virginia (including an Arnold Palmer gem at Oglebay Golf Resort), 2 in Tennessee, 1 in Louisiana, 2 in Nebraska, 2 in Kansas, 3 in Colorado, and 3 in North Dakota. And of course I play my 3 courses here in Texas when I’m home!
I recently was working in California after 6 months of no work due to the virus. While there i found this channel, decided to play golf again, bought a set of second hand clubs and I played at least 9 different course in calli. You're channel improved my game 10 strokes!!!! Whata channel
3rd year hacker. Played 67 rounds. 95.5 gross. Average 35.4 putts and 3 GIR. Watch the way of the playa and simplify your game. Thank you for speaking to the process analyst in me - breaking 90, 666 sub 80, etc. My current take away (been many since utilizing breaking 100...) is simple course mngt strategy to attack x number of par 3, 4, 5. Example 3/4 par 3 +1, 5/11 par 4 +5, 2/3 par 5 +2.

I’ve played San Marcos in Chandler Arizona, Robson Ranch south of Casa Grande Arizona, Stroud and Chandler municipal in Oklahoma, Lakeside Memorial in Stillwater Oklahoma, Dr Gil Morgan’s course in Wewoka Oklahoma. Wellington Golf club, Kansas...Auburn Hills Wichita Kansas. So I have played 8 different courses this year..and loved every single one of them!
I have only played 8 different courses this year but I have played more golf than the last 3 years combined :) Covid gave me lots of time to play and I have enjoyed at least 10 rounds with my sons who are getting hooked on the game - taht makes me smile! Miss my own dad tho - we used to play a lot and he introduced me to the game but he passed away in november last year. Your mindset helps me help the boys to play smart. Played last week on a perfect home course in 5 dgr. C - and thats not even considered cold here in Denmark ;)
In 2020 (my first year, i started golfing in june) ive played 9 courses: Ruggles and Exton on Aberdeen proving ground, Wetlands, Furnace Bay, Bulle Rock, Willow Springs, Westminster National, Rocky Point, and carroll park. WaddaStart!
I'm exactly where you describe at the very end of the video: working hard to lower my handicap by playing the same course most of the time. I played 7 courses this year but 80% of my golf was at my "home" course. At the very end of the season, I played a course (in 10*C weather) that I used to play often, back when I never hit driver or 3WD because of a wicked slice. Back then I used a 1-iron off the tee. (I still struggled with a slice using the 1-iron but didn't lose as many balls because they didn't go as far!) I'm now hitting driver or 3WD off the tees and it was amazing to discover just how "short" many of the holes on this course really are. Such a difference playing shorter irons into greens!
Matt, I was able to get out to 14 different corses this year. The fiance and I did some traveling, to golf, rock hunt and gamble. Even though we had do deal with the Covid crap, we were able to spend alot of enjoyable time out golfing together....
I posted 118 rounds on 32 different courses from April 1 - Nov 15 (golf season in NJ). My home club has 3 18s and about 70 of those rounds were played there. Waddalife!
8 in the US, 6 in Denmark....enough to still be a 7 until I discovered the WOTP...the journey has begun. Opened my Waddaplaya “ gift” today - shirt and a hat. Kids were handing out gift and were like “it says from Santa to Dad??” ...written in pen and poorly wrapped paper. A self gift! Whaddasanta!
41 rounds on 19 different courses this year in North and South Carolina. Started watching the channel after COVID lockdown and it has really helped keeping me motivated to work on my game. The Chaplin feet was a game changer, so much more rotation now. Handicap is down 5 points from the start of the year. Thanks for all the content!
I played 4 different courses. The last round I played freeing (8°C) at a 9 hole course that was prepped for winter: the holes were HUGE on the winter greens. They made them as big as for football golf. I chipped and putted so fricking well :D.
I have no idea how many different golf courses I played this season but I did play 54 holes in one day Mill Pond 7 AM Pine Ridge 12 PM and then Willow Creek 4:40, got it all in too.

And somehow I score the exact same as you so it must be a miracle or I am dreaming & I think I will go with the miracle part cause I never remember my dreams. 9 courses in Ireland. Favourite = Old Head of kinsale - an experience to remember - one on Matt's bucket list. Also played fota island, cork golf club, killarney and st. Margaret all of which have hosted Irish opens.
Managed to finally get my hands on a used set here in China (no easy feat). Played three courses, two around Hefei and one in the neigboring city of Lu'an. The last one being my favorite as we drove there in a friend's car, saw a 4x4 rally race on the way, course was beautiful and interesting with lots of elevation changes, blind shots and pine trees.
Waddalife, Hua Hin has beautiful courses!!! Have you ever played Panya Indra in Bangkok? I played it once during a business trip. This year and due to lock downs for the pandemic, I could only play courses in my French Wine region. I played 7 different courses for a total of 75 rounds!! Waddaaddiction!!!! Golf is all and your are one of the best Gurus I have ever followed! THANK YOU

Home course gets played every week. Managed to get to a total of 9 different courses so far - still a couple of weeks before year end. Played a new course a couple days ago using info from your videos, shot 87, easily woulda been 10 more if I did my usual course management - you're the man! And you're a breath of fresh air into the usual mix of golf channels, well done.

71 times at 30 different courses from Sydney up to Ocean Shores mostly with my Dad, we love to hack our way around the course with an occasional “very occasional “ bit of brilliance.
Played 8 courses this year. I’ve been watching this channel since the beginning of our season in April. The way of the Playa helped me shave 5 strokes off my average. I’m in the low 90’s now and aiming for the high 80’s next season. Not bad that an old dog of 71 can learn new tricks.
After moving to south carolina in february and the pandemic striking i took up golf with my new neighbor!

cool par 3 course here called 3’s.

In Quarantine its been about the only think open, and I got better using Super stress-free and Par-90 thought processes and approaches! Started the year around 110, and each of my last 8 rounds are under 95. I Love that this channel is just encouragement for all playas of all skill levels and thinking/strategy tips!

I only started playing golf in august 2020, I've played 4 different courses and just today shot my lowest score of 90 with tips from your videos!

i have had a extremely long season for being Sweden, still playing , only not played 3 or 4 weeks (due to really poor weather) so far and managed around 30 different courses this year, did a roadtrip where I played 7 courses in 5 days (a few of them twice).
I played 6 golf courses this year: Warren Golf and country club, national service resort and country club, Marina Bay golf course, executive golf course, and Changi golf club.
Played 3 courses all year (15 rounds) City course which was flooded out in the spring, country course which flooded out the night before due to torrential rain, and a magnificent country course where I broke 90 for the first time in 15 years. Keep up the great content Matt - your wisdom has completely changed my game for the better! Way of the playa!
10 different courses this year but I joined my first golf club and got my first ever handicap - 12.4 my official low.
6 of the courses were played as part of a bi-annual golf trip I take with a bunch of my mates where we go out to country courses and have a gay old time and support the local communities.

I had played only one course before coming along your channel. Since then (March), I've played at 10 different courses and attempted to plant as many birdies across North Florida as possible...most recently breaking 90 (first time ever) at my bucket list course: Stadium at Sawgrass TPC! WADDALIFE

I’ve played 11 different courses over the 2020 season that I can remember. I started the year shooting 125 and have brought my average round down to the 102-105 range hoping to get it down more next season. You make great content especially for us high handicappers I appreciate your videos playa in chief keep it up!
Just got back into golf this year because of Covid-19 and needed something to do. I have been using your shoot under 100 videos and have been under 100 consistently. I have played 2 courses i grew up playing and as I get better look forward to playing some of the great courses here in Miami.

I managed to play 16 different courses in 2020. Best one was Ledreborg in Denmark. Played a round earlier today in 6 degrees celsius. It was foggy and muddy, but it was GOLF......most of the time.
I've played 9 different courses so far this year and i didn't start getting serious about playing till October. Hope to get one more in before the end of the year if the weather is permitting. All these courses are a max of a 35 min drive from my house and still probably that many more different courses that I haven't played. Blessed with lots of courses to choose from so close to home. Using the +150PWP, hoping to break 100 on the next round. So close the last round! In the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. Playas, I'm always down to meet new friends in the WOTP!

I played 21 courses. Very difficult to find a tee time during Covid in Ontario, Canada this year unless you booked weeks in advance. So I explored a few new ones and had lots of fun doing it.

Played about 4/5, focus on my home course getting my handicap down on competition saturdays. Smashed it from 25 down to 17 baby! Hoping to play more in 2021 with a hope of covid free days. 26° over here would be ideal, whadda temperature!
I’ve played only my home course BUT from the five different tee boxes AND my second shots were often from places i’d never been before (mainly woods and gardens surrending the course and almost a supermarket parking but i took a free drop in the garage backyard next to it. I hit my shot just before the dog start to growl. Man, never ran so fast. Got to the green before the ball land...)

15th hole is usually a thing of beauty...coast to your left and rolling hills to your right but it looks like the air quality is terrible atm in Thailand. Played Banyan, Palm Hills, BM, the royal, majestic, sea pines...so many in hua hin. Funny time when half of Hua Hin courses were closed as in a different district, crazy covid times. night golf in BKK before leaving in July. Now trying to try as many courses as I can in Murcia where I'm currently staying. Miss the caddies, love the fresh air.

I haves played about 10 different courses for my high school this year, but considering I just started golf 8 months ago, I am happy to have played any of them.
Was fortunate to play 16 different courses this year. Most diverse year by far. Will be tough to follow up next year as I won’t be going back to two of them. (One is expensive and only played as a treat, the other was just all around terrible from the staff to the course conditions).

I played 15 different courses all in Wisconsin. One of our local more beloved courses was never opened due to Covid, would have been 16! Hopefully can move around the country more when the pandemic is over to get a different experience! So jealous of all of the beautiful courses you show!

Covid gave me the opportunity to follow the Way of the Playa and record over 200 rounds this year (!!) all close to home in British Columbia, Canada. I play off 5.4 even though I only drive the ball 240 yards and hit a 7 iron 145 yards. The secret? I chip and putt like a BAUS!

14 courses for me this year! Got my first round under 100, and have since gotten multiple 9 hole rounds under 45 - mostly due to your advice. I'm having way more fun playing too, and not just because the scores are better. Stress-free golf playa. I would probably get better scores if I had a nice golden divot tool though...

I've played 3 courses in 2020 but only started playing golf in June. I play my 4th course on Saturday,love the channel playa.
I've played one par 3 course, 14 times improving from a 58 to a 39 last time - , and then the winterlayout 9 holes of my clubs regular course. Been playing since August, but been out with a bad back. Playing the winter layout tomorrow again, after having plotted it into the golfpad app!
I'm going 150-psp - which suits a carry back to a tee. I'm bringing my 3 wood, because I like practicing it on the range before the round... I have a feeling it might get a few swings in for real soon!

Started on a 30F Degree day in February - played through last week at a balmy 53F. Played about 40 different courses this year! Played through snow, rain, sun and the occasional squeaky bum!

I’ve only played 10 courses this year but I’ve had 22 rounds. My pick of the year would have to be playing RACV Royal Pines (former home of the Australian PGA) where I shot 105 on the Championship course from the Championship tees. Not bad off a 29 handicap.
