- Today I start trying Khao Soi Gai on the dark side then jump on Max and head to Jomtien Beach to look at a couple of hotel options, okay for $5.90 your in a hostel style with shared facilities but upstairs you can have your own superior room for under $18

Scandia beach hotel is ok, but don't expect any sleep before 2 in the morning. The bars opposite are loud.

Would definitely recommend the Scandia Beach. Quite low ceilings, but clean, has pool and close to beach and baht bus

I booked already a room for Jomtien next week ,or otherwise i would have given the Scandia a try .I will be staying at the Welcome lounge ,Soi Welcome .Just next left after the TMB bank .Its also B600 a night .Its supposed to have a microwave and kitchenette in the room .Has Balcony but no pool .It looks good in the pictures on Booking .

I realise that you are probably being a bit cagey about possibly giving a less favourable impression of a room/hotel, but a few pointers as to how you really feel about a place would be most welcome. We arrive at the end of Jan and I'm still looking for accommodation for a few nights, sea breeze and scandia were possibilities. Although I think the skandia is off now 🤔 I liked that it was away from beach road, but the bars may be too much. Nice to see these insights, just what I needed 👌.
Thanks Andrew, good feedback - of all the hotels I looked at for a mate in Aus the two best in my opinion were the TJ Hotel in Jomtien and Tara Court Pratumnak

@@craig975 superb Craig, 89 baht and just top quality. Closed tomorrow but heading back on Tuesday to try other dishes but just sensational and love spending money on quality food away from Pattaya and it’s 10 minutes away
@@goodvibespattaya2423 Agree for 89 baht you cant go wrong and looked super tasty. I know you said you don't normally do restaurant reviews. But when you are travelling about doing your youtube videos if you see any good restaurants you can recommend that would be great to include.
@@craig975 yeah I will start, I included a bar in the golf video today and had a burger for lunch, pretty average and pricey, I thought it was owned by an Aussie, turns out it was and sold to South African

Jason, Another great watch. I read that the beach at Jomtien has sewage going into it, not sure if this is still the case. Whats a good beach in Pattaya if you want to go swimming.

If you could see the trash along that stretch of ocean you wouldn't go near the water... but if you really must swim try Boracay or Palawan in the Philippines.

Possible but it will be way back from the beach, prices are high at the moment due to high season, I pay 8000 a month

You should get a room in the Park lane Condominium for B7 to 8,000 a month .Its 800m back from the beach but modern with a huge pool.
