I used my 20 minutes gift to speak with Steve Fox on Cambly. He Is currently in Vietnam but comes from Chicago US. We had a interesting conversation about topics related with environment since that 's what I'm studying right now and he encouraged me to go outside the country and contribute with my knowledge to the improvement of the local conditions and processes that have an impact on the environment in other places, specially because it is a issue of growing concern in every place worldwide. I told him a bit of the current issues we're facing in Medellin with air quality and also I told him that I planned going outside the country after getting my engineering degree, whether if it is for working as an engineer or doing anything else, because I want to face the challenge of making a life abroad, even if it is just for a while, but I want to know how far I can get.

Hello there! Guys, I used Cambly and I loved it. I spoke with a teacher from Britain, his name is Daniel Robson, he's so friendly and cool. We talked a little about me at the beginning , he asked me what my name is, where I live, what I like to do and things like that, furthermore, he asked me if I have a girlfriend and I told him that I'm not. Then he asked me why I wanted to learn English and I said it was bacause I really like that lenguage, especially with British accent. It was very useful and exciting improve my listening and pronunciation skills with a native teacher thanks to Amigos Ingleses! You're the best guys, love you!

Gracias, me ha servido para darme cuenta de que si ha mejorado mi listening. Llevo casi 7 meses escuchando diariamente por 30 minutos podcast y radios en ingles con diferentes acentos (BBC, CBS, CNN, ABC de Australia). El acento escoses es uno de los mas difíciles, pero la profesora hablo pausado y si logre entenderle. Gracias nuevamente!

El Listening es muy complicado para mi, no entendí casi nada de lo que estaban hablando.Por favor, necesito tips para mejorar en este skills.
Te cuento mi experiencia: yo empece con podcast que tuvieran transcript y que no duraran mas de 5 minutos, primero intentaba escucharlo todo sin ver la transcripcion, luego lo escucha con la transcripcion y buscaba las palabras en el diccionario que no entendia, las apuntaba en un cuaderno con ejemplos que pudieran servirme para el ingles de diario. Despues lo repetia una ultima vez, sin ver la transcripción y ya sabiendo el significado de las palabras que desconocía. Con el tiempo empece con podscast mas extensos. Actualmente escucho media hora diaria de algun noticias en alguna radio en ingles, con diferentes acentos o bien podscast que duran 45 minutos. Asi es como he logrado mejorar mi listening. Por otra parte, buscaste podcast acorde a tu nivel. La BBC (ingles británico) tiene muy buenos recursos de aprendizaje y unos podcast interesantes, muchos con transcripción. Ahora si tu nivel es avanzado la CBS de Canada, tiene podscast de entrevistas a musicos, escritores, temas de actualidad que duran unos 45 minutos pero no tienen transcripción. Animo!
Yo hice el b1 en 2013, con serios problemas en listening...estuve 5 años viendo películas y series sólo en inglés (con subtítulos al principio) y en 2018 saqué casi un C2 en listening xD así que ahí tienes la clave.

Hay un pagina llamada British Council , la buena es que no solo encontraras listening de todos los.niveles con su actividades , si no videos , lecturas muy buenas . La "mala " los listening son de acento British pero igual y así te acostumbras y se te hace más fácil el inglés americano .
