- Here is our "Way To Early" 2024 Miami Hurricanes football predictions video for every college football game of the 2024 season.
We're going to go game by game and break each matchup down. Along the way we will predict the final outcome of each matchup, and predict Alabamas final record on the season.
The SEC as a whole has gone through massive changes this year. The BIG 10 has added Washington, USC, UCLA and Oregon Ducks. We have the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners coming into the SEC conference. The road to the SEC championship is now more difficult. We have also had Nick Saban, the GOAT himself retire. We welcome in Kalen Deboer as the new Head Coach of the Crimson Tide. Kirby Smart though is still in charge in the SEC conference. The college football playoffs have also expanded to 12 teams now starting this year. Brent Venables looks to compete with other SEC coaches. Dan Lanning is re tooling. LSU Tigers and Brian Kelly look to replace Heisman winner Jayden Daniel’s. Napiers try's to get the Gators back to a bowl game. FSU looks to get back to playoff contention. The Texas A&M Aggies look to rebound under Mike Elko and the departure of Jimbo Fisher. Mario Cristobal looks to try to build on last seasons campaign.

By the way, last season Miami did not fumble the ball at the end of the game. The officials blew that call. The RB's elbow was on the ground before the ball came out.

Dang I like that! And very true. That arrogant style of play cost them the game. There was no reason to even have been taking the chance running the ball your last possession of the game and what made it worse was the commentator was saying that right when the guy fumbled
I agree he was down. But Miami put the game in the refs hands with that dumb call. Even then the second dart was blown apart in 2 plays. All we can hope is the coaching staff and team uses that as a learning point. It’s water under bridge now, have to move forward. With a veteran RB that won’t happen again

Hey Will I’m a Die hard Hurricanes Fan . And since we’ve Gotten Cam Ward I’ve been Telling People Look for Cam Ward to Come out and Play Like an Assassin. He Knows that he has to Lead this Team to The ACC Championship Game and The College Football Playoffs . This Dude Cam is the Truth and he’s going to Lead Hurricanes on the Field. He’s an Very Dynamic Playmaker, Intelligent and Super Confident. And as we all know The Team goes as The Quarterback go . I also Told everybody hey this Kid Cam Ward will be a Top 3 Heisman Trophy Finalist. This will be his Stats Over 40-45 TDs , 4,100-4,500 yards, 375-425 Completions Over 60% passer . Last year we didn’t have that at Quarterback we had a Deer 🦌 in the headlights. But I’ll say it again Cam Ward with all these Lethal Weapons at his Disposal is going to be an Assassin. And he’s Laser Focused. This Team will be Special anybody that doesn’t believe it just Chill out and Watch it Starting August 31st. The Gators will get Roasted in the swamp my prediction score is 45-17 . Our Offense is Just way too Good and our Offensive Line is a Top 10 Line. The Defense will start Gelling around the 5th or 6th Game . And then going into that Cal Game look for the defense to play with Lightning ⚡️ Speed that Secondary is going to be Picking off Quarterbacks Flying to the Football 🏈 Causing Interceptions and Forced Fumbles. Look out for this Defensive Line as well. I look forward to Elijah Alston to have at Least 7-10 Sacks he’s a Monster. Now Offenses can’t Double Bain and that’s Scary for Them. This is going to be a Very Terrifying Defensive Line I believe Top Five in the Nation. The Whole Team is going to be Very Dangerous. We will win the ACC Championship Game Revenge against Louisville.
I like that breakdown. Those are tall tasks for the Canes, but like you mentioned the potential is there to live up to that. I agree that Ward is a game changer. I’ve watched him for years. I always liked Leach and Ward comes from that system. And Dawson is from that branch as well, it just makes sense. The D line will be a legit beast teams will have to account for. The run game will only make Ward better. And he’s never played with these kinds of weapons at WR and TE. There is massive potential there. Nice points

@@fsugnome I wouldn’t say that, wasn’t FSU just missing a bowl a few years ago and all Fsu fans wanted Norvell fired. Few seasons ago. Things can change very quickly. UF can come back quickly too. It will be nice to see all the Florida programs back on a National stage

Yeah I think SMU will handle their business. They have a top 25 offense and top 25 defense from last season. They’ve worked the portal well too. Stone is a good college qb. They’ll roll I think
Very nice amalysis. Louisville could very well be a Trap game, but I believe they will find a way to Survive that game to give them an Undefeated season going into the ACC Championship game. I wish they played Notre Dame this season to strengthen there non-conference strength of schedule....If Miami is Blessed with overall good Health throughout majority of season, I strongly believe the Hurricanes could be the Muchigan Wolverines of last season! They are in my Top 10 teams that are Contenders to at least Play for to possibly win their first Natty since 2001.#GoCanes
Hey man I hear you, good picks also. There is a ride that happens. They can easily be favored in every matchup. I think their the best roster in ACC right now. If they stay healthy you might be right

@@brandonbrown2051 agreed, or if we play a more air raid offense they’ll do really quick short passes. Taking the pressure off their O line and placing the pressure on our LBs and secondary. I’m curious how quick the new secondary takes to get acclimated
@@3rd-And-Long Dang you right because if we play a team that can run the ball to if they motion a WR we have to decipher if they running a counter or a boot then throw a screen to the RB smh I'll LBs gotta be on beat this year!! Matter fact the offense can't be going 3 & out that's gone hurt us. We have to be able to make big plays to control the clock
@@brandonbrown2051 excellent point. The offense should be able to help keep the defense off the field and resting. If you think about it, TVD put the defense in horrible spots with his turnovers in his own 20. Ward will be a major improvement
Q: Cam Ward and Damien Martinez have never played an SEC team or the Swamp. How do you think they will adjust with that being their first game? DJU started off his career at Clemson so he's played Miami and South Carolina (SEC) bfore. That's my main concern about these two new additions going into the Swamp and FSU.
I bet by the third-quarter they will be getting out of dames way

That’s a really good question, you make a good point there. I have wondered that myself. What I will say is that Ward played his best games statistically vs Oregon and Wash, so he’s played in packed stadiums and big stakes. But past success doesn’t always guarantee future performance. Playing in the Swamp will be a challenge. But these guys are experienced so I think they can handle it. And the O line is good enough lean on the run game until Ward is comfortable. But I’m a perfect world they’d have some warm up games before the swamp. I think they’ll be on all cylinders once the FSU game comes around though. DJ U is an interesting one. He’s played in ACC before, played in big Pac games. Had a decent year last season and will have a good roster this year. I can see 2800 yds, 22 tds and 7 picks. He doesn’t need to light it up, just don’t be careless. What do you think?

Miami definitely can't afford to sleep on Louisville's WR Caullin Lacy. He is a big time sleeper !
I do think the Duke game is personal for Mario. Behind the scenes Mario is very displeased with the job Manny did as the HC at Miami. This game means a lot to Mario for many reasons on different levels. Let's not forget Duke beat Miami the last time they played as well.
I have no doubt Manny would love nothing more than to get his first big signature win at Duke against Miami.
This is a important matchup for both coaches. Should be interesting to see !

I think this prediction holds up IF...they can stay healthy at key positions. I know they are deeper than they have been in the past, but that defensive front needs to stay healthy if they are going to rush 4 and drop 7.

@@pnut3844able I hear you on that, but I think peoples issues stem from him being paid a top 10 salary but not having top 10 results. To me his results are 5-6 mill a year. He had a good year at FIU, but they did fall off. And he also never utilized Herbert well. He can change all of that perception with a strong year this season and put those things to rest.

@@pnut3844able I don’t think he utilized Herbert very well at Oregon. So much so to where people wanted Tua over him when he was obviously better, but he never threw for more then 3400 yds in college. But he was considered a 1st rd pick before MC got there
The schedule and talent should be 11-1! "A lot of people sleeping on this roster." Rightfully so! UM has underperformed the last 20 years. I expect between 10 wins is the floor for Mario this year!

This is the most talented canes team since 2017 if cam ward is protected and they stay healthy with that run game that line the wrs they have with Sam Brown coming in and they dline they can easily go the acc ship the ONLY team has much talent as them on the schedule is FSU Louisville has talent just not that much at qb and FSU has ugalieua and he’s been up and down but they have fsu at home the canes should win 10 games and if they get past FSU they’re going to the acc ship and win it my prediction 11-1 and in the playoffs for the 1st time since its begin🤷🏾♂️ they have all the pieces and schedule to do so Cristobal has no excuse this year besides injuries

Last few years haven’t been bad, but Miami does usually schedule a decent out of conference schedule
Yeah, they only had to play #23 Texas A&M, #12 North Carolina, #4 Florida state, and #10 Louisville (who however is the real winners of the softy schedule each year), not to mention having to face Clemson and NC state last year. Yeah, if that's soft, give me YOUR team's schedule and let's see how it matches up...I'll be waiting...

Lol I hear you but I don’t think their the same thing. UM brings back a top 40 defense, should be better. Brings back one of the deepest WR and RB rooms and OL rooms. Added a top 5 Qb and top 5 RB. Those are complimenting pieces. FSU lost some massive talent to NFL. Lost almost the whole offense and key players on defense. They do recruit and work the portal well though so that roster is stacked. But Miami has an easy schedule. So odds favor Miami to have an easier path to wins. I still picked Lsu to have a good year, talent is there. But talent is there for Miami with an easier path.

Lol I hear you but it’s not like UF has been good either or performing at a high level. They haven’t done squat either. They won 5 games last year, 6 the year before. They fire coaches at the same pace as Miami. There’s no difference. So it’s not just a Miami says this or that each year, what has UF been doing? So their both in the same place. The same complaints that apply to UF as much as they do UM.
VT, GT will be much better than anticipated (outside Blacksburg). L'Ville and FSU have higher ranked transfer classes. UF at Gainesville will be alot tougher than people expect also. Cal has a very good tailback (led Pac-12 last season). On paper doesnt matter. Lost depth on the defensive line. Cornerback outside of Porter...... M. Powell needed at Slot, but would be so impactful at safety. Losing S. Riley REALLY hurts. Experienced and good tackler. No way UM goes undefeated. I can see losses to UF, VT and FSU. L'Ville could be a loss and we lucked up missing SMU, NC State and Clemson. Go Canes. No orange and green sunglasses, looking at the teams UM playing and our HC record at UM.
Great points, and I can agree. There were big loses to NFL and portal. Even with Louisville and FSU portal classes higher, Miami got the bigger Stars in portal. And Miami's recruiting classes are higher than them both so that evens out. So you're seeing 8-4 this year? There's a path to that happening. If it does Miami would deserve to never have another fan show up. If MC goes 8-4 with this roster and this easy schedule he's toast

Louisville played the softest schedule in ACC history last year so any win total or stats concerning them is negligent, as losing to Kentucky at home proves. Won't be a good team this year.
