    Dude that's some soft sand aye! Cool spot to park up for the night as well.

      It sure is! that stretch of beach is notorious for it and catches so many people off guard.

    I would recommend finding the detailed map for this run, it's somewhere on one of the government sites I think, it points out where the really soft sand is to beware of.
    If you are really wary of getting bogged, you can stick to the road behind the dunes and not drive on the beaches.
    You'll also find a special breed of 4wd drivers in this part of the world, that swear by 10psi in their tires.

    That looked like an awesome trip, thanks for sharing it. The beach camp site time lapse was super cool, nice work on framing it with the rigs. Music selection was great, need to fine tune the timing on the fades, just sayin. The roll call at the end was a great idea, use it again. Cheers.

    Where did u attach the snatch at the front of the RC Colorado? There aren’t any recovery points that match bullbars.

      unfortunately the colorado doesn't have any rated hooks on it at this current time, hooked into the eyelet that is there from factory, for a light pull just to pop it out. Wouldn't recommend it as a spot to regularly recover from. Cheers

    How long did the whole track take all together? We’re in Robe at the moment and looking at doing this track but only have about a day to do it! Thanks guys!

    • @offthegrid4x43
      @offthegrid4x43  Před 3 lety

      Gday Mate, the track itself can be done in about a day, when we headed down there we ended up having to recover a few cars along the way and then ourselves when we got into a bit of trouble, we left robe mid morning and was in beach port the very next morning. Just make sure to take some recovery gear, use the right tyre pressures, and stick to the top of the sand where possible, have fun down there 🤙

      Damon from memory I recon it was about 500 for the rear leafs/ubolts and 300 a pair for the shocks. It is an efs lift. Install was done at home

      Video doesn't always show the back story, this spot is notoriously soft and so we made a bet that he wouldn't be able to get through and as you can see in the video he didn't get through, appreciate the comment though mate 🤙

      @@offthegrid4x43 yeah I would recommend dropping the psi more 8-12 for tough spots and try some road tires their great for beach as they give you the maximum surface area after watching again i could see how soft the sand was we went to robe and did the little dipper conservation park only.

    Solid effort mate, but the music is annoying and seems out of place in alot of the shots. Just some of my feedback and yeah I agree, drop the CB commentary. It looks too staged. Good job boys
