One of my favourite albuns of all time
Saor should be the "National Band of Scotland". Period.
The best Scottish Metal band hands down.
I love this album. I am a hill and mountain runner who lives. in Scotland and I regularly listen to black metal or folk metal when I run but this album is like a dream come true. Really captures the essence of the land in which I live, work and run. Love it 🤘 What I would really love would be a collaboration with yourself and John Ferguson who writes the Saltire graphic novels- a graphic novel about a mythical defender of Scotland from the mists of time. That would be amazing 😁 Congrats on an amazing album and I am bow away to sift through Saor's back catalogue. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

I wish to witness this band in scotland. I went to scotland this summer. The most impressive vacation i've ever been to. Must be an absolute blast to see these guys play in their home country.

Was there at the album party, played all this new album live and Tears of a nation to end the set, aye, great live.
Place was meant to be packed out, sadly with the train strike many couldnt go, kind of made it even more special.
A bonus, I was hanging with them when #Mayhem played #Glasgow, top night :)

I think the only way I could accurately describe this is:An absolute Triumph.
Saor somehow makes their music both more accessible AND heavier than before. Origins flows better than any of their previous releases. But like all of them, it's still a thing of beauty.

Some moments in this album are just straight up etheric. Pure goosebumps.
@SAOR Your new album is impressive, like always. "Guardian", "Aura" and "Forgotten Path" are masterpieces and the references in Atmospheric Folk Black Metal about nature, moutains, forests and rivers. As I had suspected in the chat, "Origins" is more focused about Pagan cultures than nature (especially Picts you said) and you reached the perfection in the way of the Pagan Metal. The "telephonic" voice at 9:04 until 9:30 is strange, but because EVERYTHING is perfect, that's really not a problem. After hearing it again, it's not shocking. Clear and Growl vocals are impressive as always, and perfectly executed, with a great impact because perfectly interspersed throughout the album.
Again, thank you very much for this new Pagan masterpiece. I'll buy Origins, for sure. Ho, and I love the epic Scottish atmosphere that bathes your album.

I am not a new fan of Saor. Just wanted to say: stunning album, hit the heart deep inside and made me feel the origins. With all the respect. I saw you guys at Kilkim zaibu festival in Lithuania and I trully enjoyed the performance! Hope you will come back someday... Gach dùrachd!
Missed the stream release due to work. :( I purchased the album, cd/digital copy, and Origins shirt which will be waiting for me when I get back from my vacation! Andy, this is another masterpiece. The pipes and flutes really take me away! Thank you!
