Jovan Belcher didn’t commit suicide. Nor did he murder anyone else. They were sacrificed to build the fake kingdom that exists today. Nobody in the entire city EVER mentions him. Aaron Hernandez’s death was also staged. And he is now being cast in the role of Travis Kelce. Don’t be fooled by the illusion that has been placed before you.

I played HS football with Jovan. He was a fierce competitor on the field, and an amazing teammate and friend off the field. The Jovan that committed this act was not the Jovan that I knew. The Jovan I knew was a beast on the football field and the wrestling mat but was so much more than that off the field. He was a mild mannered dude who loved to laugh and joke. As soon as I heard about what happened I knew there was more to the story. I said it from the moment I found out what happened, my boy had CTE. It's an absolute shame what happened. But it could have been prevented if he was given the help he needed. I'm not condoning what he did but the person who did that was not the kid I knew in HS. Brain injuries can alter a person completely, and his injuries certainly altered who he was and the decisions he made. Jovan had the biggest brightest smile I've ever seen and it's sad that I'll never see that smile again. Despite what happened on that day in December I will always remember Jovan for what he was to me, a friend, a larger than life personality that people just gravitated to. You'll always be my boy Jovan til we meet again brother!

ShaneWoods1980 - what you are describing is considered The Framework of Poverty, detailed in a book. The idea is that there are those who grow up poor, maybe generationally welfare babies. Occasionally one of them breaks out and begins earning a decent or even extravagant money. All those who are left behind feel they’re entitled to some of that money because they helped raise him or the knew him, possibly related to him. And, as you pointed out, as long as he’s earning that money, even if we think that there’s a problem, we ain’t saying nothing….”just keep your mouth shut Aunt Vera.”
Sad truth, but then often times, the truth hurts. Now there’s a little girl, who, if she’s smart, and someone in her family doesn’t try to manipulate her, if she chooses to go to college, she’s got a great start financially….at the cost of both her parents.

Ive never heard of this story, but ive learned more about CTE and im so conflicted. I like watching Football, i used to play in school but quit when going into HS. My brother played football all through HS and suffered a meniscus tear that required surgery. He is still quite affected by that injury a few years later now. I remember some big hits i took, but i can only imagine what my brother took. If i recall correctly, i think he had 1 known concussion or was checked a few times. The coaches attitudes are commonly just suck it up, walk it off, you are fine, etc..
Because i partake in watching and enjoying football in different ways including monetarily, i feel like im contributing to the problem. They essentially play for us, the fans. The problem is that no matter what the NFL does, i dont think they can prevent this from happening without huge changes.
I feel terrible thinking about what damage has been done to me or more so to my brother. I miss being on the field, but then again idk that i could put these worries down. My family was hoping he would play college football, and had a few small offers for teams no one has ever heard of, and now im kind of glad he didnt.
Its tough man... i have Olave in Fantasy this year, and Waddle. Olave just had a concussion in his last game. Waddle did early in the season. There wouldn't be football then. Now, I will say that little kids shouldn't be playing tackle football. Like under 13 should not be playing tackle football. Some of these guys start at 6 years old. I played pop warner middle school and highschool ball. I know I have cte. I went blind once in pop warner from doing goal line stand drills and as soon as my vision came back I was back practicing again. I never sniffed college ball. So the whole cte thing means nothing. Very well done. I was at that Chiefs-Panthers game. A group of us at work had won free tickets. We went, and while we had "fun", there was a bit of a pall that hung over the afternoon. It was mostly an unspoken thing, but you could FEEL something was definitely off. For good reason. Just an awful, horrible tragedy. Zoey must be 11 by now. I hope and pray that she is able to live a life that is as happy, healthy, and "normal" as possible, despite the double loss that resulted from that one night. I offer no judgement of anyone involved, nor will I express any opinion - for or against - guns. I can only offer condolences in addition to the wishes expressed above. I've seen people at their very best and utter worst. Zoey already suffers from the latter. Here's hoping she gets to experience an abundance of the former. We’ve seen it in very young people. It seems that just sustaining that many blows to the head for long enough to get thru school/college enough time to have CTE. I'm living with symptoms of CTE and my doctor says that I am without a doubt have it. My personality changed I don't have friends anymore I am impulsive. Depression and headaches are just a daily struggle. I only played junior high thru high school. I went to a small school so we really only got a break when it was halftime. The worst part is that addiction came along with it. It was like a light switch was flipped and I wasn't the same person in a matter of minutes. Its sad and I just take it one day at a time.

His comments to the GM, tells me it has less to do with CTE than made out to be. Im sure it didnt help, but id say its more mental health and depression. He knew 100% his actions would send him to prison and he killed himself.
