In Assam, Rooftop solar program is not beneficial.Billing procedure is under Exim metering which is followed by AERC . In Assam,NET metering concept is not used in electricity bill. They used some other calculation which you can see in Assam solar energy policy 2017.

i am planning to install a on grid solar system in Karanataka for my home. My power supplier usually has low voltage supply, so for eg is 190V. Now on a grid-tied system does it mean i will continue to get these low voltages or will get proper voltage from the system?

bhai how did you conclude that solar cells have to be made in India ? Because many Solar Module Manufacturers are saying that there is no clarity from govt on solar cells if these are to be made in indie or not.. even china imported solar cells are allowed for subsidy.. DCR solar modules are completely made in India including solar cells and these are the only modules allowed to get subsidy

Sorry but you cannot install solar panels for personal use on a common roof and you won't receive any subsidy.

That's right! Jyada capacity lagane se jyada faida nahi hoga. Lekin aap apna bijli bill 90-99% tak kam kar sakte hain aur jitna bhi chahein bijli istemal kar saktein hain. Since, DISCOM infrastructure provide karti hai, isliye jo meter charge hai, woh lagta hai. Abhi central govt Rs 78000 for 3 KW de raha hai.

If you have your personal terrace, then you can avail subsidy but make sure that your society allows this because in most of the cases society doesn't allow even if it personal terrace.

i have exide 230ah battery with 1050va inverter,i want a 1kw solar what should i do, i asked a solar vendor he said i cannot make 2 battery saetup on my old inverter, i have to go with 12v 170 watt 5 poly panel setep with micortek charge controller all total he said it would cost me 32/34k , so can you suggest me something thing better with low cost . because we live in remote city with low current supply, i hope i get a reply.( my monthly usage 700/800 watt)
