    About Guy Tal:
Guy Tal is a photographic artist and author living and working primarily in the high desert region known as the Colorado Plateau. He is a regular contributor to magazines such as LensWork, On Landscape, and others. His books include More Than a Rock, and The Landscape Photographer’s Guide to Photoshop. Guy’s work is an extension of his experiences living and exploring in his beloved desert places. Although ostensibly a “landscape photographer,” Guy approaches photography as an expressive art meant to elicit emotions and to elevate the spirit, rather than to document appearances. Rather than a photographer who produces art, Guy considers himself an artist working in the medium of photography.

His photographs have been widely published, including B+W Photography (UK); Medium Format magazine; SHOTS; On Landscape (UK); View Camera; Rangefinder; Broughton Quarterly; Arte Fotográfico, Backpacker; and more. His work has been awarded by the International Photography Awards, Prix de la Photographie Paris, and Black & White Spider Awards.
