Kevin Jackson is wrestling Elmadi Zhabrailov who won gold at the 1989 World Championships a few months earlier (defeating American Melvin Douglas in the finals). Jackson had not yet made an American World Team -- so on paper the Soviet wrestler should be a massive favorite.
