Epson PX900 initial impressions, post unboxing

Full disclosure: I'm not being compensated monetarily for any of my opinions on this unit, but they did hook me up with some label cartridges to try out. That being said, just based on the 20% coupon alone, it's totally worth it to get this unit. Even if they told me to kiss off when I reached out to them and just went with the PX700, I would have been completely happy with my decision, especially considering that these all come with a lifetime warranty and the margins on the prints are absolutely incredible.
How many characters can you get on a .75” wire wrap (repeated)? I have the 700 and can’t see to get anywhere near the characters as I can with my Dymo. Unless I use the software. But if I try to export the settings to the Epson it says “too many lines”. Wonder if the 900 is limited the same way.
I'd have to check. They had a firmware update for the 900 that fixed a too many lines bug, but I'm not sure about the 700.
I want to print a cable wrap comprising two lines of text (Horizontal across label). It complains " Too many lines". I can do this with other printers so what's the issue !? (LW-PX700).
Are you running the latest firmware update?
Are you saying you can do it with the 700 and not the 900 or you can't do it with the 700? Have you tried setting font size manually?
Can you print white letters on black background on this printer?
They do offer that, yes

I brought that up in a meeting I had with Epson last week. They told me the next generation will include Wi-Fi and phone app support. As of now, you need to connect to a PC through the USB port.
@@TheFeralEngineer Omg! Do you know when this new version might come out? Because I bought a brother cube XP because of this and now I'm goiing to return it :P I hate the 1" waste that brothers make. tho I love how small the vertical margins are on the brother.

They did not say when they would be releasing a new one, unfortunately 😞
@@ameliabuns4058 if you don't mind the size of it, you could look into the LW-Z5000PX and use my coupon code (theferalengineer) to get 20% off. It's still pricey, but it's 2" capacity, wifi capable, runs off the phone app, etc
