nah TNA low-balling him in 2014 was the best thing that ever happened for AJ financially. Man made more his first year in WWE than TNA or NJPW ever would have paid him and is now probably within their top 10 highest paid stars which means he's making bank and there are few who have really earned it like he has
@@amysmileyreid95 his first year was "only" $600,000. Sources I've seen say his downside is currently $1,000,000 so $3,000,000 is probably an overestimate though not by much
This was a great storyline. After defeating Aces and Eights, the lone warrior AJ Styles became the target of the evil Dixie Carter and her chosen superstars Magnus and EC3. It had the opportunity to be a long lasting epic, but due to contract problems, AJ Styles left TNA. Although it was probably the greatest thing he ever did. After TNA, his already great career became legendary with incredible runs in New Japan and WWE.
Contract problems meaning they tried to low ball the best wrestler TNA ever had. The face of the company. So he left and did better after. Dixie screwed TNA
Ruined?! WTF ARE you talking about man? He's a grand slam winner. He is the second longest reigning WWE champion in Smackdown history. He's the last opponent of The Undertaker. He defeated John Cena twice. He had a pretty successful WWE career.@@davidcoombsbestmegadethalb9780
This is a problem in every organization, they take the loyalists for granted and use them as punching bags instead of incentivizing till they cant take it anymore and leave the organisation
This was the original house that AJ Styles build. Sad that they pay him what he was owed, because TNA/impact lost a phenomenal talent. No pun intended.
@@youtubeuserxix Lmao no, no he isn't. Shawn Michaels & The Undertaker were more popular and better wrestlers. Sting was a joke after he left WCW and showed up in TNA. There's a reason WWE didn't see him as anything more than a stepping stone for Rollins to go over.
Idk how many people in this space watch mma but I always think about him and Michael chandler together on the smaller promotion but two of the best in the world at there craft
He likely won't. He's already stated he's planning on retiring in WWE which was where he always wanted to retire at. He plans on being a talent scout and trainer in the future
Oh dixie wtf what she thinking not paying this man his money he deserved he helped start this company a tna original but nope expected him to take a pay cut I don't blame him for leaving it sure as hell worked out for him. I also stopped watching tna after this exact moment
This was arguably one of the most ridiculous matches of all time. How does the entire TNA practically came to beat up Aj... Terrible booking. . TNA died when Aj left
@@Kinami20 That would be interesting. I don't remember him being an exceptional promo, but he does have that distinguished British thing, ala William Regal. So it could work.
TNA was sliding down the relevance scale thanks to Hogan but this nosedived the company and it has its fans but TNA died and the corpse is still around. I'm glad AJ got an extraordinary career, but it got bigger after with Bullet Club and so on. love his work. He deserved every penny that they shafted him
They should’ve paid this man the money he DESERVED. Dude is TNA
fortunately this was the right call... AJ had done everything in TNA and going to new japan and then wwe really push him to the next level

Technically it died when Dixie Carter was doing the booking.. the product right now isn't bad.. they got some great matches as of late.
Imagine if aj came back

It lowkey sorta died when Hogan debuted in 2010, guys like AJ were just keeping it on life support for awhile
if we ever hear “Get Ready to Fly” again in wrestling i’ll cry
Imagine (I doubt it will happen) hearing it at aew, would love to hear it at impact
@@bionicfuller7011in fact AJ Said it by him self he is like WWE more compare TNA ,ROH, OR NJPW
After he “retires” from wrestling, I’m sure he’ll make a cameo at TNA.
well you might just get that after emo Aj just showed up last nite
technically hornswoggle used it as mini aj lol
When AJ Styles left IMPACT…so did I
me too bro big fan of styles hes real best in the world
I would watch TNA again when he returns
10 years later Aj is on Smackdown and Magnus is his General Manager
I remember watching this on TV and feeling the reality of it set in leading up to this point. TNA was never the same after he left
Same. He and Sting were the main reasons I watched this company, them and Angle.
AJ was my whole Childhood in TNA growing up watching him and then seeing him go to WWE was the best thing I've ever seen in my life.

I think any version of "I Am" is synonymous with AJ Styles.
Funny thing is aj styles and nick aldis are on smackdown now
The heart and soul of TNA
AJ Needs the hoodie and leather jacket back on WWE
wwe ruined AJ STYLES
Yep especially his return this time

One of the GOATs. The greatest TNA star ever.
He is truly GOAT, not one of.
And now both of them are in WWE
Sad thing is, Impact still had fans back then. Not now
his attire and appearance is what my 10 yo self would like
The day TNA died
Simply the King of TNA❤❤
I used to watch TNA only for him ❤ The P1 AJ Styles ❤
the speech AJ Styles gave to Jeff Hardy speaks for itself how much AJ Styles loved Impact wrestling and pro wrestling.
I'm just now remembering Magnus is Nick Aldis lol
The silver lining is that this entire situation led to AJ's NJPW run, which completely revitalized his career.
That title was something out of this world ♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍😍
AJ reuniting with Aldis on Smackdown soon haha
The day Tna died
That belt was beautiful
Phenomenal 1
One of the biggest brands in world of sports❤
This man gave his life and career to TNA, and they spat in his face
GET READY TO FLYYY !!
I am I am
YOU ARE YOU ARE
This was ten years ago!
Love to see him come
Out to this music one time for wwe lol. His debut was so sick
damn its crazy to see just how far tna/impact has fallen since these days.
They don't want none!
imagine the pop if he came out to this theme
And now they are both on Smackdown (AJ Styles/ Magnus (Nick Aldis)
My goodness! 10 years he’s been gone. He’s done a ton since leaving
I got goosebumps when Get Ready To Play started 🔥

the TNA Goat
This is peak AJ Styles
Hermoso/Beautiful :3
Right before he started his Mission Impossible movie franchise
What I wouldn’t give to see at least 2 more matches in TNA with him.
Vs Josh Alexander
Vs Mike Bailey
I couldn't then I can't now I literally can't believe he actually left
TNA is not TNA without AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Sting, james storms, bobby roode, or kurt angle.
Lol Kurt angle angle can barely walk these days and sting’s about to retire.

IMO i know AJ TNA OR NJPW era is Good. But i like What he is now in WWE. They push him become more GREATER and now he is one of WWE Core star
Extremly Awsome in TNa
was it known he was leaving at the time or did people find out after?

Should've hired Stone Cold, Randy Orton and Paul Heyman instead of Hogan and Bischoff
AJ is so missed in TNA
Worst thing about tna is no ones intro song is audible
The house that AJ Styles actually built
I would love ro see him and kenny omega have a match in the wwe.
saddest day in tna history
This aj styles gimmick was the best ever, in my opinion
Ohhh man I forgot the bow cut before the soccer mom cut

They threw everything but the kitchen sink for AJ to lose that title to Aldis. I'm glad he was able to become a bigger star after leaving TNA.
Tna when was at the top
That theme is not as phenomenal as his WWE one it seems
Magnus also know as nick aldis cant wait to see their reunion in wwe
Ah yes the day before this company was diagnosed with a crazy illness and put on life support.
I'm also training to become a professional wrestler.
That's pretty cool! Good luck.
Remember man have charisma!!!! That is the key you can do this just be passionate and know what you can become. Be a natural
It's so sad he got buried when Hogan n bischoff shame on dem n mos of all Dixie Carter
If Tony and AEW are not careful, MJF will do the same thing.

This is the other reason I stopped watching TNA. It's just not TNA anymore without The Phenomenal One.
WWE should just buy out that theme and let him have it. His current theme is hot garbage.
That Magnus guy was pretty good. I wonder what ever happened to him? WWE should hire him.
