I love Pedro so much and he deserves all the success but he doesn’t have to be cast in absolutely everything.
I’m definitely having some Pedro Pascal fatigue. This is the issue we face when an actor is great at roles; making them their own. We just see them in everything trying to stand out when the script should as well, the story. Not just the actor. Just my two cents.
He's really not in that many projects other than 2 consistent ones. Last of Us and Mandolorian, everything else comes and goes and his roles in them aren't so major
@@Spaxer I’m sure he’s not been in everything, I am saying I see him a lot. Multiple projects a year or popping up here and there. I have seen Pedro more and more since Game of Thrones

@Spaxer, someone doesn't have to be in a ton of projects to get fatigue from them. When they appear constantly and everyone hypes them up as the greatest thing ever, it gets exhausting.

You NEED to watch the Unbearable Weight movie... Like you know it's going to be fun with Pedro Pascal and Nick Cage but it's so much better than you can imagine!! My husband and I cracked up through the whole thing. It was a great ride. We bought it. So worth it.

If Pedro had any brains he himself would turn the role down and just say he doesn't think he'll be a good fit and leave it at that and that's it, the end. Some of these actors egos are so inflated they swear they can work in anything

Pascal as Reed? Not in my worst nightmares. The film is going to be awful.
Ioan Gruffudd is a great actor whose career unfortunately didn't take off like he deserved when he tried to break into Hollywood. I thought his first Fantastic4 movie was decent. The second one sucked, sadly.

Sorry but he is not Reed Richards. Totally miscast. Actually the guy in the first two movies was perfectly cast, movies were just terrible.

I can't agree more. But it's so Disney to cast the same actor all over the place instead of promote new talent. They'll do it till he can't get streams.
People doubted him as Joel, don’t underestimate his talent.

@@Collect2Disconnect Of course. Everyone does, it is an instant human reaction. People hated it when it was announced Keaton was gonna be Batman. People hated the idea of Ledger as Joker. Both of them were amazing.
So, again. RIGHT NOW, I do not like him being cast as Richards. But I do like him so I will fully grasp if I like him as Reed once I've seen the movie.

People said the same thing about Michael Keaton when he was cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman

The only thing I have against Pedro playing Reed is that he's now too old for the part. If they're rebooting superhero movies, most of the new actors should be in their twenties. Then they can easily play the character for a couple of decades.

This is one of the worst takes i have heard about Pedro. He was miscast as Joel in TLoU, Reed Richards in Fantastic 4 and as Maxwell Lord in WW84. They are casting him in so much stuff for no good reason i would as soon see Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite cast in these roles. I and most other people are over pedro…

Can Pedro pull it off. Maybe if this is a late FF. But if its an Early FF Reed was like a Clueless boyfriend who is almost like Shelden. Before he became a dad Reed was an idiot sometimes. I fear Pedro was only castin this role to be the dad figure because of Mando or Last of Us. But I guess it all depends on the script. If they get one. Like the Cap 4 problems.

Pedro is WRONG for this role! While I love him as an actor Reed isn’t Spanish. I’m sick of the DEI race/sex/orientation swaps! Like the black actor now playing Wonderman! It’s time to get back to proper casting, ZERO DEI, neither left or right content but back down the middle, etc.
Most of these superhero’s were created in the 50’s and 60’s it was a different time in America . If the origin of the superhero comic mythos was created in today’s time it would look way different than the silver/golden age which most people who watch superhero movies currently weren’t even born to witness that era, let alone read modern comics today ..

That flight list is inaccurate. However he had creepy parties back in the day with young girls so he’s sick. That’s where Dane Cook met his current girlfriend.

And Pascal, lord haven't we seen him in enough, the dude is in EVERYTHING, kinda sick of him. I get it, he's the it guy in Hollywood, he spouts all the lefty talking points, says all the right things, and they love him, cast him in every new project, but c'mon arent you guys sick of him too?
Marvel isn't a single writer and director. It's a studio. There is no one "touch". Quality is inevitably going to vary, and it always has. What happened to create the illusion that they're "losing their touch" is that the Thanos storyline was concluded, and then two things happened around the same time (ish): Marvel Studios merged with Marvel Television and took over TV production, and then COVID happened, so they had a lot of new circumstances to adjust to.
As long as they can afford to hire writers, there is always a chance somebody will write something great. There's nothing inherent to Marvel as a studio that makes them incapable of facilitating the telling of good stories.
