This is a story about the love for the bike and our desire to ride together. A story about a day that made us end this spring 2020 on a high, with an unprecedented cycling event that was no event. We rode together without being together.
Spring 2020 will be remembered as the year we rode…Dirty Kanzelled.

DK NAME CHANGE
Regarding the topic of the name change of the DK event itself - in order to 'dissolve the connection with the Kaw Nation people' - the only thing we can say is this. We (now) know and follow the discussion and recognize the views and history of the parties involved. At this moment, but also at the time of the event. Even though the issue was less developed at the time of the event itself. We are by no means out to hurt or disrespect anyone, in fact, the idea was to bring people together around the bike in these upsetting times.
If the name is wrong and hurtfull to people - we are obliged to each other to come up with another name. Trust us - we' re from the Netherlands, we know how these things work. We all live and learn.

Furthermore, we continue to monitor the matter with great interest as we realize that it is a very relevant one. Not only for the DK event and its stakeholders, but also for the cycling community as a whole. The bike is there to unite, not to divide us. To bring peoples hope up, not to hurt.
