Michael Moyer, PhD, LPC-S, is associate professor from the Department of Counseling, and Sydney A. Novoa, MA, LPC, is a doctoral student with the University of Texas at San Antonio. In this 6-part video series they present an overview of understand risk factors and prevalence of NSSI. They also review how participants bias and beliefs may affect how they interact with clients who self-injure and provide effective strategies for working with clients who self-injure.
