I got to ride on opening day. I was one of the lucky ones. It’s incredible. You leave earth somehow and end up in the middle of a Star Wars movie. The scale of this and the sets can’t be explained. It’s amazing. Simply amazing.

Bridget reaction is so adorable, but she is not exaggerating. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll be blown away by this experience. I live in Central Florida, and was lucky enough to have visited the park the week it opened. It’s very immersive, and very emotional. Bridgets review is pretty accurate.
Love how Mrs Carey is so emotional. It was my exact feeling when I was there!!! It’s so nice to see we all feel that way! She’s the best!!!

@@sonicimperium dude, I was just there 3 days ago. Galaxy's Edge is THAT awesome if you're a Star Wars fan. This ride CLEARLY adds to that awesomeness.
Well I was just as ecstatic when I rode “flight of passage” and this seems to be even more immersive

Tried to get in yesterday was told unless you had a reserved fast pass or bording group always assigned it could be weeks before "normal" admission is really possible
Not totally correct Edward... I rode it opening day, and I''m just a normal guy that happened to be on vacation at Disney with my family when Rise of the Resistance opened. You just have to show up very early in the morning to join a boarding group. The park was scheduled to open at 8am and we arrived at 6:15. At 6:30 we joined a boarding group through the my disney app after entering the park. We were in group 37. Then we got to go around and ride all Hollywood Studios rides (Slinky Dog, Toy Story Mania, Rockin Rollercoaster, and Tower of terror (2 times) with no wait. Around 11:30 am our boarding group was called (they have digital signs throughout Hollywood Studios and you also get a notification on your phone) We then reported to the ride where they had a wall of Disney Employees making sure only those in the current boarding groups could enter. We then waited 20 minutes at most for the ride. It was awesome and I really like this system rather than people waiting 5+ hours in line.
I just hope this revitalizes Galaxy's Edge over at California. I LOVE that place and would hate to see it go under because of poor attendance!

Looks really good but I imagine it wouldn’t be quite as good with the normal crowds of people.
I was on the ride opening day with others... didn't hurt the experience at all. It actually fits the story better to have others with you. If a little kid was throwing a fit or something, I could see how that would hurt the experience, but that can be said for lots of rides/experiences at Disney and other theme parks.
I will. I was just there. With this and the falcon there are only 6 in the falcon at a time and 4 on this. Disney does an amazing job with the entire experience. Its life changing. Building a lightsaber will blow your mind.

Yeah, this, Smuggler’s Run and the make-your-own-lightsaber experiences look like a dream (I’ve already spoiled all three watching youtube videos, and the last one teared me up quite a bit).
It’s a shame this came at a time where Brazil’s currency is so devaluated, which makes trips like this kinda prohibitively expensive to us.

I went to Disney when I was 6 and again when I was 16. I definitely enjoyed it more when I was 16. I actually knew what was going on and could appreciate it!

I am not a fan of the sequel trilogy, had no desire to go to galaxy edge Anaheim...Maybe I give this ride a shot, but this would of been much better if it was Original Trilogy based.

Thanks for describing it, so exciting. Though a quick question, does other Disney pavilions have this ride or similar? Unfortunately I am not able to go to the States, so wonder if their are other options in other countries. Have a family now, and a young baby boy that will love star wars and want to know if other disney places around the world are just as awesome as the one in Florida, the original Disney world?

Yes it is expensive but if you plan ahead, it is definitely feasible. Stay at one of the value resorts, stay on dates when it's less crowded, and bring your own food or snacks. A lot of people don't realize they can do that.

There is a drop. It has been confirmed for a while. Though they haven't said how far it is.
