I heard this song and The Rasmus - Sophia when ska are very hipster in Indonesia circa 1999-2000 on the radio. Both of those none ska band are should be a full time ska band
I love road man, although it isnt really rock it is still very nice. I love how good live sounds, it always sounds different from the album though. At least you can hear their natural singing and no playback crap.
@JurakaF I have to agree with you. A lot of the songs I know and love didn't sound half as good in concert. He really does have trouble staying in tune live. It's unbelieve that its the same singer. I'd sound better than that at Karaoke & plenty of ppl would sound better than me. I love them, but he has concert issues. Pity I'dve loved seeing em live but unless he's improved a lot, I'd want my money back. OUCH. Why don't he just do a lip sinc show. Ppl could see him in person & hear good music.
@@gunfuego well yea, but if you play in a band like smashmouth, that has a lot of history and experience on it's shoulders, at least know how to sing your songs... maybe was just an off day for the singer, or maybe he couldn't hear himself properly from the stage.
@llz22 What does that have to do with the vocals being bad? It's not the voice itself, his tone is fine ,it's how out of tune it is haha. And what does 85 have to do with anything, you nut case.
This was 2000 !?! 20 years goes by way too fast. Smash Mouth is timeless....
the best thing about this band is that they connect with the audience and they actually are entertaining
love this song
yeah this was my first album.&this was my favorite off ilove the raggae beat. isaw&met them in connecticut couple years ago great guys
fush yu mang is one of my favorite albums yesss
LOVE road man , neat to see it live!
Man, me and my brothers think astro lounge is one awesome album. we're not hating on it :)

Oh HELLS YES !!!!!!!!!
What the fuck is everybody talking about???? Steve Harwell's voice is out of this world!! Go listen to Bieber if you don't like it rough and dirty.

Road Man is on Astro Lounge and Let's Rock is on Fush Yu Mang
fush yu mang is incredibly good
gotta love ska. waiting for the 4th wave
i know right! was just thinking that

Yeah, I was hoping for a better live performance too.
I love this band though...
singer sounds fine what the fuck are u guys talking about, and his name is steve harwell
@raccoonmatinginyour this is late, but that sheet is more than likely the setlist, not lyrics
Love the song honestly, one of my favourites... On live they are kinda off key, that's a bit disturbing.
at least you know they aren't lip syncing, using autotune or playing pre-recorded music like many "artists" do today....

IT IS SO REGGAE.
@MidnightTheOne Astro Lounge lol
Hey - What album is this on? D: Cause I think the one that this one is on, is the only one I don't have.
Why is he reading off a sheet :O a lot of times he's not.
steve's voice is sharp in this entire concert, it's a shame. its still awesome though, and you don't need pitch to go RHA TA TA TA!
which album is best? fush yu mang or astro lounge?
Smashmouth is good
The first one they could never sound that way again
yeah it's ska, they're entire first album is ska
i am afraid of it, because its not easy to get into a 4th by developping ska in a positiv way.. am afraid it gets commercialized
Isn’t that the truth? Everything winds up getting commercialized if the suits sniff some money to be made… and I promise you, the artists get peanuts.

If you can't hear that this is out of tune (vocals) then you can't hear, great song, great band, but this is not really up to par.
thats not singing. wuts going on...
I love this song and the band.. but I'm not sure if they're that good live. He sounds out of air and so tired.
