On Xbox one here played several hours yesterday. Oh My! (referencing the guy on Star Trek)-- this changes the game big time. I found one of these paradise planets that is just crazy! I had a hang while warping to a new system, restart the game / hard stop and restart but just the game not the console. I had those weird planet glitches where if you step into you will fall thru the planet. I know to stay away from that when it happens. Also weird fall thru near a new bug ( a bug or creature / not a system bug lol) Simple jet pack manuver got me out of it.
Anyway I am so amazed by the water change, the biome changes, creature changes what I have seen thus far even after watching others play the game for days before I was able to? To see this bug (creature, not a game bug) different from anything I've seen anywhere... I am hooked once again.
This is the GIB we've all been waiting for. It will change this game forever and now seriously new found interest to build out underwater bases with this water update it is just so so GOOD. I mean it really wasn't bad before, but this change is revolutionary for a game that is 8 years old. *Thank You Hello Games*
I also played on my Xbox for a few hours on Expedition 14, my PS5 was crashing every ten minutes in Expedition, so I'll wait for patch to hit.. but Xbox is playing like a champ!!!

How about gas giant systems and TRULY deep oceans with trenches!?!?
My bet is on the latter soon, although gas giants would be fun: you could get tons of tritium by grazing the atmosphere, using a new booster technology in order to not fall in the gravity well. Add pretty gfx and it would be a thrilling experience.

The combat focused nature of the expedition is kind of fun, but I've noticed twice now I've had graphical glitches that crashed my game where the screen goes black it looks like it's iced over but you still have control but you can't see much of anything

The new visuals really made the experience so much more beautiful. I noticed that the water physics from ship engines are visible underwater, cause i was searching for the deep sea monstrosities and 2 npc ships flew over me, causing trails across the surface just a couple of units above me. It was so cool🥹
I dont think I've seen 40k plus players on Steam since the last update!
Waypoint. Because I only own a switch. It changed the course of gaming form me for years and it will continue to be an experience if they keep bringing updates like this one. I’ve hit a milestone of 750 hours in game and I don’t want to slow down.

Except for the fact that my perfect base planets were turned into ugly hell worlds...cant wait to see what Part 2 does...I would go out and try to find some new base worlds but why bother...Part 2 will probably wreck those too...let me know when its safe to establish new settlements / bases...till then, there are other games to play ( Havent figured out a way to wreck my freighter base yet? I know you can do it! )

I think they fixed that one NPC in your freighter ship hanger area that be submerged “glitched” in the floor right by the stairwell 😂…. It’s been that way for years 🤣🤣

Nms worlds update part 1, and definitely hopefully part 2...is one of the top best updates... It compliments all the others so nicely and shows true game creators hard work and care towards one of the best game communities ever. I wish Ark creators learn from Hello games. That's why Hello Games deserves all the recognition and respect!! Thanks to all who helped BUILD & added to NMS 🎉

I’ve not been getting that….but, I have NMS installed on my external SSD. So may be an internal drive problem. I did get a couple of minor crashes but it didn’t freeze my PS5..

I hate to be a wet blanket, but when player count is as down as it was prior to update, it isn't hard to see a 4-500% increase due to an update. Other than some graphic improvement, this update (at least worlds 1) is pretty empty for gameplay add ons.
